Yeah, it's poor execution on Monk's part. He drew you in with the possibility of Jamie being a main LI while injecting a hidden incestuous relationship (maybe his group asked for it) and a random relationship no one really cares about (Malena).
There's far too many intertwining branches within this game that it makes it too ambitious to flesh out. Again, Monk poorly planned the layout.
And I know he won't respond to this because he knows I'm right (and mostly because he's a coward), but this game's planned episodes is far too little for 1 planned season/run.

All that's left for Episode Five are animations. We've done quite a few so far but still have a lot left to do. Other than that, all writing, renders, and coding are all pretty much done and I'll be sending it to my playtester shortly. However, do keep in mind that there is still a lot of work left on the animations. I don't know whether I will release it in January, but barring some disaster befalling my animator it should at least be done by February.

It's simply astonishing how well-written all the main female characters are, how seamlessly they serve the plot, naturally exposing the conflicts the MC faces, and how the decisions he makes ultimately define who John Rockford is and how his story ends.
Malena (who is of no one cares about) serves as a litmus test, testing one of MC's core beliefs. He's talked so much about his principles, his belief in the justice, in the system, in doing the right things, and then Malena (the dumb bitch) drags him to the gym where Tanner Koch trains.
Well, this one Tanner who abused Emmeline, who got away with it from the justice and who laughs in the face of the surprised MC, invites him to a fight and threatens to do it to Em again.
A choice of bad and worse, imho. I think that Monk encourages the decision to avoid a fight by rewarding a player with Malena's approval of MC's actions. Although the hypocritical bitch herself admits that she's repeatedly wanted to kill that bastard Tanner. And in the past, in a similar situation, she killed her own abuser. But MC would be a huge disappointment to her if he tried to stop Koch right here and now.
Koch's character is written in such a way that I personally have no doubt that the bastard won't stop until he's completely humiliated MC and Em. And now MC and the hypocritical bitch better keep an eye on the shorty, because she's in real danger.
But almost immediately afterward, she sparks a new conflict in MC's beliefs. What's more important: being loyal to family, to one's bloodline, or following one's principles regardless of the circumstances, even if it means condemning one's own father? A fiendishly difficult contradiction for MC, who seems to have believed since childhood that regaining a family is what separates him from happiness and the wholesome life. But following the law is rewarded with the hot lusty pussy, while loyality to the family results in being thrown out from the party, and MC wont get some today. It is a nearly impossible level choice.
I can't wait to find out if Malena's route will end if MC decides to beat up that asshole Koch and how the whole conflict will be resolved.
Jamie brings the MC another set of problems and life questions. Is your real family only your blood relatives, even if they're complete strangers? So who are these people who, even though they're not blood relatives, love you, are always there, and support you in difficult times? And in the process of searching for a "real family," did the MC lose the one he already had (the Carringtons), neglecting their friendship and care, taking them for granted?
And even when the MC's perception of Jamie changed, and he realized he had feelings for her and that he was about to lose her... Well, damn, I don't envy Rockford. Is Jamie worth giving up everything, including his career here and following her? And what about her dad? It seems like Jamie is a package deal. And will there be a chance with her after turning down her dad's offer?
Absolute cinema, can't wait for the update.

Of course you can. The thing with opinions is, they're like assholes. Everyone has one. You've to live with contradiction. Especially when your "opinion" is basically just a rant and insult. You disqualified yourself from receiving answers, yet some users who are far friendlier than you responded to your nonsense and tried to answer seriously. You don't deserve it.
