They posted earlier today on Patreon that a sort of alpha build of the new version will be released tomorrow to certain people to test for bugs, and afterwards it gets released to lower and lower tiers of patronage if I understand correctly. So we should have it shortly.

They just today released a v 2.0 beta edition, but it's only available to the $25 patrons for bug testing until later this week. Anyone got a copy? I'm only a $10 patron lol

Ayy the developers reached their $6,000 milestone in order to reach their 'peace of mind' objective.
That's good to see, I'm glad it looks like the game will continue to get worked on without them having to worry about an income as much as before. Good for them, and good for us.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. If people are willing to pay this price, asking it is completely justified. All you lose by not buying in this case is a few weeks of the headstart playing an unfinished product anyway.

$25 is a price of good and finished non-aaa game. you can buy divinity2, kcd or fuckin witcher3goty for that price. payin $25 for the ability to become monkey tester in a game with 2,5 2d porn scenes is totally insane.

You're missing the point Anchorman, the game is FREE, but the devs aren't. This is literally their full time job. The 25$ backers are unlucky enough to get the buggy version first.

You seem to misunderstand the purpose of their Patreon. It's not to buy their game, it's to voluntarily invest money and good will on pure promises. The earlier access is just one of the few things they can offer as an incentive, but that's not the same as saying "This game is $25!"

You seem to miss the point where those who pay 25$ for the beta do so because they lack patience and not to search for and report bugs. It is the playing to find issues people actually get paid to do and this as well as the usual early access junk have nothing to do with that.
