Considering people were saying the dev is using someone else's work for the story, I felt a little connection with the dev so I offered some advice because I'm not as imaginative as others so I can see why the dev went that route. In regard to the parody comment, that was more to iterate getting the basics down is important too or people won't even give this a second look. As for their reputation, the lack of finished work isn't good but if they put in the effort and release a finished product then its possible to bounce back.
The dev takes time for their renders which already separates them from a good amount of HS games so they definitely have a good base, we just need them to stick to a game long enough to evaluate their writing.
Though considering the font they use for the names I think we can see where some of the inspiration will be coming from lol.
Okay because people kept saying this I had to check it out, and omg I did not expect it to be THAT much of a rip off. Like obviously there's a LOT of games that steal a premise or story beats, but this is damm near bordering on just being an HS adaptation of the manhwa.
It sucks because the dev actually knows how to make a nice looking HS game but damn apparently that comes at the cost of having zero original ideas.

Well, going by the Dev's history, this would be end up becoming abandoned before more comes out, which is a shame if that really does happen, as this was a pretty nice start, and would like to see more. Guess I shall see if this does follow the same pattern or not.

Dev aknowledges that its heavily inspired by rooftop king. He says the following on his FAQ:
"Lens Lust was inspired by the Manhwa Rooftop Sex King. I mainly liked the beginning, the MC’s background story, the glasses concept, and a few characters/scenes. So the first version is somewhat close to it. However, I have a completely different script with new characters and a unique plot, so the story will move further and further away from the manhwa. I also stopped reading it months ago because I didn’t like the direction it went."

Let's hope. Because the manhwa is not very interesting, except for its beginning and the idea behind it.
