And I also want to ask, out of craving, what's everyone's favorite ROMANTIC lesbian game?
I find oddly endearing. The art is armature hour and the story/dialogue has been cut back so much it's almost shocking how bare bones it is compared to other games that put you through 25 unnecessary shower contemplation scenes. The Hanna route is nice balance where it's slow enough to have some good characterization of two women figuring out their first gay relationship but also fast enough that you're not stuck waiting for hours.

Beauty Contest was nice enough to get me over my comical hatred of anime. For a little while anyways.

At Your Feet shouldn't be my jam, but it's so oddly sincere about it I'm shockingly impressed.

(Also working my way through Infinite Stars. Promising so far, despite the frustrating trope of characters' pent up feelings remaining pent up because they refuse to fucking talk to each other!)

About C.L.I.T, my main problem is that the girl i think is the coolest turns into a hulk in the best scenes. but other than that the game is great
View attachment 2843668
I like her a lot too, but the hulk thing is an issue, yeah. I remember that there was a date scene where she avoids the transformation with a special suit or something, but she looked a bit different in that scene anyway, like it wasn't exactly the same character model, with different hair color, and I think her face wasn't exactly the same than in regular scenes.

That also happens with at least the nurse teacher, she has a very different model in her dates than in regular scenes, but in this case I personally think she looks far better in the dates.

As I know, the best thing humanity has produced is A Summer's End - Hong Kong 1986. (I'm disappointed, humanity)
But you also can enjoy following games: Blackberry Honey and Heart Of The Wood.

Totally agreed with A Summer's End - Hong Kong 1986. It's the game that introduce me to the yuri genre.
I also remember enjoying Heart Of The Wood
Other romantic lesbian game that I have liked:
Kindred Spirits on the Roof
Highway Blossoms

Another finished game that I like is Naughty Lyanna Season 1. Although it does have some content with guys, luckily it's fully avoidable and all of the canon content is lesbian. I really love the main cast, their interactions, and the over the top story and character's antics. Season 2 is also great, but it's still unfinished. I think it's already longer than Season 1, though.
This game is fun. Exhibition isn't one of my fetish, but I really enjoyed playing it. The girls are cute, with some personality, you always wonder how they will inevitably finished naked, there often funny situation, and yet a darker plot.
A bit in the same kind, there is Sunville

I think it's too early to get a clear call on Black Diamond. It's got promise but it's still in the build-up phase (at least the public release is). I'll call it once the smooching starts.
It's fairly obvious where things are headed that you don't need smooching to be convinced

Exhibitionism isn't particularly my thing either, but I like how the game uses it for humor and very absurd situations. And since characters are likeable and cute, and even the "dark" plot is also entertaining, it's a great game.

And yeah, Sunville is very similar, even developers comment on that sometimes xD. No "dark" plot at all here, but cute and likeable characters too, and as a plus Sunville doesn't have any guy scenes, so all new content is always girl x girl.

Well i actually support the project on Patreon and the last big update was purely lesbian (Rose in this case - even if you play the free version it's obvious the lesbian options are actually more present in the game than the straight ones atm .)
Having said that it's more of a slow burn and there are no sex scenes in the sapphic routes atm, but the Rose path is considered the vanilla love romance in the game.

Beside that you have the mom, the mom's best friend (who is 100% lesbian) and the nude model you met in the museum.
All comes down to your choices of course - you can easily avoid all the male LI's if you make the right choice (also no throwaway comments from the MC how sexy those ignored LI's actually are).

But atm the patreon gone rather quiet (same with the Discord - where the dev was really active not too long ago), which makes me wonder if we get another abandoned game soon....

EDIT: DEV is actually still active on Discord so yeah just ignore my rant ;)

This scenario reminds me of a fantasy manga* by a popular mangaka who does both adult and all-age content. It's been quite some time so I can't remember the title... or the name of the author for that matter.

*Edit: Witch Guild Fantasia by Rihito Urushino (goes by Ulrich as a doujinka).

Regarding lesbian-focused games on F-95, do you think that lesbian content is an underserved niche or an unpopular niche?

- By underserved niche I mean that not enough devs are making lesbian-focused game, so it doesn't help making this kind of content more popular.

- By unpopular niche I mean that not enough people are interested in lesbian-focused game, so there's very few incentive for devs to make lesbian-focused games?

Had a little talk on discord about it and I'm curious to see what people think here.

A little bit of both?

I think it's underserved, in that there are only afew devs really putting in the work for a quality game.

I think it's unpopular, in that there's always a jackass posting "female protag? pass" or "no dicks?" despite the overwhelmingly quantity of games to satisfy their dick-lust.

I think it goes more for the latter, devs who want to make a "career" out of it and make money, almost always choose the popular trends to attract more audience and unfortunately lesbian games is not one of these.

and that leads to the first thing, that since it is not popular there are not many "serious" devs that put the effort in making a quality game because they know that it cannot give them that much money.

for me seeing this was one of the biggest disappointments I've ever had, considering how popular lesbian porn is, I thought that at least for video games it would be like that too, it was a complete disappointment to see that this was not the case.

The ceiling for male protagonist harem games is much, much higher than that for female protagonist lesbian games.
That said – the floor is much lower as well. The overwhelming majority of male protagonist games has less than 50 patrons if they even made it into the double digits within the first year or so of their existence, while many lesbian games get a small (compared to the high earners), but very loyal audience in a relatively short amount of time since the niche is starved for content.

Devs who are in it for the money will probably end up miserable on both sides lmao

My assumption is that it's the tendency of a lot of players to "self-insert" and the vast majority of the player base being straight males. Many that bypass the self-insert still prefer male protag games or straight paths and those that always self-insert disregard female protag games altogether (and make stupid comments about how much they love seeing peepees).

I figure the disparity with the popularity of lesbian porn is that those just watching the porn rationalize it as a voyeur experience, but can't do the same in a game.

In any case, it definitely feels less popular as a game genre. And if I were making a game with the sole goal of making money, I'd avoid the genre. Which probably leads to it being underserved. I know I started making Erisa's Summer because I felt like there were very few lesbian-focused games at the time in 2017/2018 (and they're the games I prefer!). The numbers have increased, but not by much compared to the way adult games have exploded in popularity and availability.
