overly sfw games (no nudity or fanservice, no fetishes, nothing explicitly or implicitly mature) are likely to get removed from the site, which for this thread could mean some of these titles, so if any of them are in the opening post and you were planning to pirate and play them eventually, consider grabbing the files now so you don't have to hunt them down on other pirate sites later.
My shitty dating sims, nooooo!

Ah well, have to keep an eye out elsewhere then. Steam and Itch are the obvious platforms, anyone know of others?

I hate it when characters don't stand up for themselves, like the literal employer of the mc just said, paraphrasing, "it sucks that X will be leaving soon. Kinda makes me wish it was you who was leaving MC, if I wasn't such good friends with your dad I wouldn't put up with you." that is prime time for the mc to grow a backbone and wonder aloud how bad it would be if the cafe lost 2, in reality 3 considering another planned on quitting soon because they met their goal and wouldn't need the job, before reminding them that a 2 week notice is just a courtesy before the mc goes in the back and gets their clothes and walking out letting them know they'll get someone else to return their work clothes or even mail them back, despite living down the street. What makes it worse is that this isn't the first time someone has been that assholeish, the Mc's litteral family called them a dissapointment. idk maybe different cultures but it just irks me

the game that caused this rant
Sorry to go a little off-topic to respond to this, I'll delete this answer if it causes trouble.

I will not be talking about about the game proper, but about ideals, 'standing for oneself and growing a backbone'.
So... If a company wants to fire you, but can't, leaving isn't standing for yourself or growing a backbone. If you leave, you give the company what they want. Plus, depending on which country you live in, you'll lose your unemployment benefits, and end of contract bonus.

Living through your ideals does not put food on your table.

If your company explicitly tells you they want to fire you, but can't, it means you have the upper hand, and if you want to annoy the company, the best thing you can do is stay and siphon as much money you can until they do fire you, and then you leave with even more money.

The only reason to leave a company with a "backbone" is if you know they absolutely need you, and you leaving will put them in a very bad position. If they tell you beforehand they want to fire you, it means you are expandable, and they are already prepared to replace you; they won't lose anything.

I work with a lot of proud people who think walking out on a company is a power move. It's not. You'll be jobless but the company will continue to make money just fine. You are the only one losing something.
If the company tries to keep you and negotiate, now it's a power move. But in 98% (source:my ass), you're just hurting yourself.

That's why before doing such hard decision, one should take advice from professionals (employees representatives, lawyers (who can actually help you gain something by fighting the company), or other legal advisors, I'm lucky, in my country, most of those are free until you engage a proper legal action, and it saved me a lot of money and gave me the upper hand when my last company tried to fire me

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Remember the saying, "l'union fait la force" (you're stronger in a pack), don't take rash decision by yourself because you are blinded by pride. And think really hard about who has to lose what, and if it's worth "growing a backbone".

Is it a case where the mc is in desperate need of a job? Perhaps they were looking for a long time and they only got the job due to the dad's connection?

I also hate when mcs don't stand up for themselves.

I just checkedcand and it seems like asian jobs are a bit exploitative with their workers.

Downloaded all I could from that list. 59.8GB total with some compressed.

All Enamored Risks, Heaven Will Be Mine and Crimson Spires links are dead. Rest have a live PC link.

Out of those 3:

Enamored Risks is free on Steam. Just add it to your library.

Heaven Will Be Mine is currently 85% off on Steam ($2ish USD) and was in a "Stories of Pride" Humble Bundle in mid-2024 along with another game that you can still download called Arcadia Fallen (I got it because of Wylde Flowers).

Crimson Spires is currently 40% off on Steam ($12ish USD) but is on the main consoles (70% off on Switch, Full price on PS4/PS5 and Xbox 1/X|S). Demo is available on Steam.

Heaven Will Be Mine
oh, looks like i still have the windows version on one drive; ( )
not stopping anybody from buying it at the high discount / supporting the dev, of course.

i wonder what's wrong with uploadhaven; if a file gets deleted, they have a missing file banner for it without telling you what the filename was and letting you press download.

Ran into the same problem. Worked/Error on others but not the Android link for Enamored Risks or the Crimson Spires link.

Enjoyed Arcadia Fallen. Thanks for the recommendation.

to everybody: if any of the nsc-tagged games you've played are mistagged (e.g. erosekai mentioned earier and mizuchi were), i encourage you to submit a game update report for them to get the tags sorted out (with some words reasoning where in the game the suggested tags are, or a link to a relevant screenshot or cg or a piece of dialogue or youtube let's play or somesuch, so it's easy to verify). to avoid potential accidents like this one on the otoge front

Higher Education, looks like something to keep an eye on. Not a lot of content as of now but what's there looks promising. The art is great, the characters are charming, and the dialogue... I'll get back to that. I also really like the stylization and format of the of the game, though I can imagine some would like it more than others (the pictures on their itch will give you an idea I think).

Nearly every choice in the game gives you points that go to determining the type of relationship you will have with the person you are currently talking too (dialogue and h scenes, sometimes to a surprisingly great affect). Usually the choices are split into friendship/romance/lust or dominant/submissive, though often the correlation between the decision and relationship type can get a little ridiculous.

Current build focuses on introducing 8 out of a planed 10 LIs (5 men 5 women) and all seem to be optional. The game seem like it intends on taking things slow, took us about an hour and a half to get through it and we got only two h scene (two versions of the same scene I should mention. After some testing, it was probably determined by lust/friendship/romance. Unlikely we missed any additional lesbian scenes besides the friendship version but possible we did miss straight ones).

Now about the dialogue... It's not bad, but it's not that good either. Definitely above average for this site. The thing is that what's bad about the dialogue is more often than not just the choices of words. The intent or idea behind most of the sentences is actually quite solid and most conversations follow naturally (some useless descriptors here and there but nothing too bad).

Two things that I know are possible turn offs for some people here is that the mc "notices" men and is more or less bisexual, calling some men handsome and mentioning how she "didn't ever have a boyfriend" but I guess you can always just read it as a repressed lesbian... The second thing is that you can't really avoid interacting with the male LI. You can be just friends, sure, but you still have to hang out with them, at least at this point of the game, might change in the future when it becomes more sandboxy.

In conclusion, not much content at the moment, I'd wait for a few more updates if I were you. BUT it definitely looks very promising and I, at least, intend on keeping a close eye on it.

It looks pretty cool, I've had my eye on it before, but I'm a little scared that it's one of many games that are abandoned.

A few things I feel need to be clarified.
Current build focuses on introducing 8 out of a planed 10 LIs (5 men 5 women) and all seem to be optional.
The dev said that it will be 6 men, 4 women and 1 MtF trans.

Two things that I know are possible turn offs for some people here is that the mc "notices" men and is more or less bisexual, calling some men handsome and mentioning how she "didn't ever have a boyfriend" but I guess you can always just read it as a repressed lesbian...
You make it sound worse than it is. The MC does make remarks on other people's appearances and personalities but they come off as assessments of them as people, not as sexual or romantic interest unless you specifically made a choice that shows interest.

The second thing is that you can't really avoid interacting with the male LI. You can be just friends, sure, but you still have to hang out with them, at least at this point of the game, might change in the future when it becomes more sandboxy.
Again, this sounds worse than it is. The male characters are part of the story and part of the MC's new environment. She wants to make friends and has no problems with them being men. It's true that you can't completely ignore their existence, so if you need that to be the case this story isn't for you, but there is nothing at all romantic or sexual forced on you.

I think it was for a while but the dev recently updated it and brought it here which I see as a good sign.

Oh, I just went off the in-game portraits which showed only ten characters and assumed the gender split would be even based on the outlines of the two remaining portraits. Good to know there is a trans LI though!

You make it sound worse than it is. The MC does make remarks on other people's appearances and personalities but they come off as assessments of them as people, not as sexual or romantic interest unless you specifically made a choice that shows interest.
Idk, I just got "the vibe" that's what the writer was going for in the first few moments of the game. I will admit it did not carry on after that.

Oh, absolutely! I never meant it to sound like a point against the game. I prefaced both of these by saying this is a heads up for the people on this thread who expressed annoyance at both these aspects in other lesbian protagonist games
