I mean, to be fair, other than a bot, and even those can be made to read backwards, it doesn't take much to figure that out. There was definitely not enough prevention going on. That said, there have been cases where developers took extreme care in their prevention of being discovered and still got caught. Also, since Patreon relies on a user report system more than their own employees or bots, it stands to reason that no amount of preventative measures would help since Patreon would simply investigate user reports and find the truth anyway.

Selebus feels like the beginning doesn't flow quite as well as the later parts (which IMHO is true, I did get kinda stuck but on a second playthrough it wasn't too hard- I just needed to know to focus on the main events and use the wiki), and doesn't want newer players to get turned off by the early experience.
Unfortunately he is also going to remove the greatest scene in the history of fiction, the Chu~ scene, and possibly the early Makoto scene.
Although they'll still be viewable.

Call Kaori on a Saturday night. Every other scene in the update will play out afterwards in a set order. The happy event is triggered within that chain of events.

When Selebus started work on the game, he had two conflicting ideas of what the game would be, and he felt that the game had to have H content early on to generate interest. So some of the girls rush into their H scenes with barely any setup, which is especially jarring two years in and every other girl is moving at a much slower pace.
So he's going through the early game to slow things down a bit. Ayane, Futaba, and Makoto are going to get more buildup before they start fooling around with Sensei. The Ayane bathroom scene is being removed entirely. All told, some 158 scenes are getting altered in some way, though some of them will be very minor.
This won't break any saves or change the plot, so you won't need to replay the game unless you want to, but it will halt forward development of new updates until its done (target date is 6/1, though he did say it could potentially take up to a month longer).

I also agree with this sentiment in reference to the beginning as a whole, the only part I could find and disagree with was the bathroom scene, which, as I said, is because of early character development for Ayane that will be taken away. It sets her up as what she is at the start.
I mean, if you slow down their progression, it really is going to change the plot, not in a major way, though, which I think is what you were going for here. It would still be the same story, but the plot does need slight adjustments to fit this slower pacing, the exact same plot would not work the same at a slower pace.

The one in the beginning where Ayane gives Sensei's dick a little smooch in the bathroom of his house. It kind of sets up how desperate she is to be with him, which is a big part of her early character.

Please tell me you don't mean the backroom fap scene? That scene was fucking hilarious, Makoto's wide-eyed mute reaction is pure gold... it simply cannot be improved upon so unless it's just being moved back time-wise i seriously hope Selebus doesn't replace it... whatever he would replace it with simply cannot be as good or better than it.

I think I may have somehow broke my save. For Touka and Tsubasa it shows that I have 5/9 and 0/2 events done, but when I look at the events for them they are all greened for completed. Any way to fix this? I think it is making it so I can't activate Wither.
Edit: Actually figured out what I did, I tried to add an out of date mod at one point and replaced newchecker.rpy, luckily I backed up the file I was going to overwrite and reverting it fixed the problem. I'm guessing since the mod was old the checker could only display events that were available at that time even though it knew that the new events existed and were completed.

Yeah, that will do it. For future reference in case others have this issue, what was the mod (if you remember, of course)? I am aware of only one mod, in total, for this game and I'm not entirely sure how it interacts under the hood, but it will serve as a good symptom check if we can identify the mod and then make sure whether future cases didn't do the same.
I believe it was the Gallery mod, missed a couple early on and didn't want to replay from the start.

On a side note, I came back to this game after a bunch of new stuff was added (I think when I last played there was no chapters). When you go back to the beach after scouting it out with Makoto, a scene shows up where it says " There is something buried beneath your feet ". I know that it is repeated a lot but my first thought was 'Yeah those condoms, what about them?'
