I don't find her interesting, and in real life I would find her insufferable. I will admit that my tolerance for the girls who fuck with other girls is pretty low. I did not like Yumi messing with Futaba, I did not like Kirin messing with Ayane, and I do not like pretty much anything Nodoka does.I don't know why anyone (especially Futaba) would be her friend.
I get that perspective, and can appreciate the moral principles involved, but this is a story, not real life. The game would be pretty boring if all the conflict that occurred was Sensei's internal conflict, and his relationships with other characters were 100% positive and pliant. I know there are other harem-VNs out there that use just this conceit, but I find them shallow and trite. Good for a wank, maybe, but I don't really consider it art.

Good stories require conflict (literature 101) and well-rounded characters. No one gets along with everyone, all the time. Traditionally, at least in the west, teenage girls' cliques have been among the most conflict-ridden and cruel peer groups out there. Boys can fight and end up best friends a week later. Girls hold grudges, fight with social ostracism, and are much slower to forgive.

Yeah, I know, arguing that it's important for a harem/horror/fantasy/timefuckery AVN to treat interpersonal relationships realistically is a bold stance, but I'd argue that the VNs that go above and beyond in this respect are the ones that make the longest lasting impression on the reader. Humans are drawn to humanity, so to speak.

This reminded me that according to Wakana; the rest of the students, outside Sensei's class, are basically scared of and want nothing to do with his class:

Sensei's entire class is basically socially ostracized by the rest of the school. His class, itself, is a clique.

I mean, they have a girl that is known for carrying a knife, another girl that supplies drugs, a yakuza princess, the two richest girls in the city that study martial arts, a Zealot, a girl who works at a porn shop, and another who works at a bar. Then there's Noodle girl, Watermelon girl, and the two Incest girls. All of which are virtually fighting over their creepy teacher. The rumors alone have to be insane. (Not even getting into how Ayane has apparently killed some of the staff, and brought both guns and blades to school, lmao)

Yea imagine you were a student in 1-B and just wanted to do some old school PE stuff that day. You go into the gym, you see a fish market; you go outside to the sports field, you see a succubus driving a forklift. I'd fucking transfer myself to the sinkhole.

"Please Sensei Watabe, do not make us engage with the girl who kills all our janitors"

I didn't say I wanted that either. I'm saying Nodoka's "conflict" is uninteresting to me.

Last version I played was 0.34, I'm still waiting for 0.41 (so the guide mod has 0.40 events)
Isn't the guide mode updated like 2 weeks after a game update?
I don't understand what you're trying to do and why specifically 0.41 considering we just got 0.38 right now making you 4 updates behind.

So there's more to play, do you never wait a few updates before you play games here again?

My dude, it's LiL we are talking about. If you don't play it every update while keeping changelog near you will subject yourself to playing through unreasonable labirinth of "if you don't play this exact event on saturday - you can't progress and have to waste another ingame week". Don't forget, Selebus hates you (y)

Just a single week? I already have over 1000 in-game days, so that's not a problem for me, and I don't need the changelog with the guide mod, the guide mod is almost a necessity for this game.

If you don't play every update, then yes, it's a necessity. But you have to wait for it's release. Otherwise you just play every update and share with your good pals here your walkthrough (or just look up the one made by another kind soul).

A question from 0.38 update: Why does frog boy remind roadkilled Ami of rain king?
Putting whatever the name frog boy is insinuating aside, Rain King is confusing, but somewhat also gives a "supposed to be important" feeling. But replaying it again yields zero frog in the search.

So is there an in-universe connection between them? Or is this just Selly purposefully breaking walls and mentioning all the unexplainable events he made in the past and enjoying himself a circle jerk?

also in my head I kept saying fuck boy instead of frog boy

I seem to be stuck at the event where Ami goes catatonic. At this point, there's no hints available using the guide mod and I have gone through a couple of weeks just waiting throughout the day. Any idea on how I can figure out next steps? I'm on 0.38
