It's my random musings about chapter 2 again. So, this isn't about a single event, but more about the general outline of certain plotlines upon rewatch. And a few random tidbits at the end:

1. Firstly, about the Otoha x Rin thing. I find it interesting that, regardless of how things will go, their relationship seemed doomed from the start by things I didn't really recall.

2. Multiple Maya smiles to remind everyone that I had to drink a lot of water after this event (This isn't a joke, I cried so much that I had to stop playing for some time).

3. And lastly, it's heartwarming to see Yumi caring about Akira.

I stopped right at the start of what I assume is the reset event puzzle, as in I saw the "home" and immediately stopped because I was in too much emotional strain. and.. yeah I kinda figured what would happen when they brought up the story the stars again.
Ok I doublechecked some stuff. I think you're right about where you think you are. Just remember it isn't all over yet, don't mourn too hard when you don't know the full extent of what you're mourning yet. You've basically stopped before the final act of the chapter, you still have an entire act to get through. Not just a scene.

Yeah, it's just the whole everything that came before it was kinda suffocating and I needed a breather. idk if my wall of text conveyed that but I was kind of a mess mentally. because I genuinely cannot remember what I wrote, only that I wrote a lot.

Sekai used to go to Tojo Ramen, loved Tori Shio Ramen, and died before she paid her tab. May have also met Tsuneyo, who seemed to start remembering her or something related to this.

This was revealed in Tsuneyo's Chapter 4 'ELATION PROTOCOL 99: NOODLEFOOT DISCO' Event.

Sekai never actually whored herself for Ramen:

Kaori does probably like Tori Shio Ramen because of Sekai, though. Probably also likes Ami and Akira because of Sekai as well.

1. In the moment, I felt like Otoha just wasn’t ready for a relationship. In retrospect, yeah — she couldn’t be with the one she loved, but also didn’t really love the one she was with. Stupid teens. Grr.

2. I think this was my favorite sequence in the whole game so far. Should have known what was coming. Whew.

3. Yeah. Yumi. :)

4. Chapter 2 is the beginning of Akira trying not to be a complete dick — and mostly failing.

Since many are on their replay, I seek fresh eyes for an age-old question of mine about a certain conversation by the end of Ch2. Why did Uta skip her work unannounced? What happened?

This event is within the 4th reset event chain, so the last time Sensei privately spoke to Uta prior to this would be Uta's Blood Everywhere, or anywhere during the 2nd Christmas party (particularly, Dodging Snowflakes) if updates can establish some chronological order. Then, the first time Sensei had any meaningful conversation with Uta is by the end of Creatures of Habits. However, none of the event above really gives solid enough hints on why Uta skipped work without notice and I can't find any direct confirmation about anything related.

Now, even if Uta's past has not been revealed yet at that time, I am all about attributing this mysterious absence to her not feeling like working due to perhaps unsolicitedly receiving more of her own nudes yet again. Judging from what Uta said by the end of Creatures of Habits, it's easy to intentionally believe that Uta here was insinuating that her nightmare had recently resurfaced.

What stops from just assuming so is that:
- That's not the only possible take on her words. Moreover, Uta actually looked pretty bashfully happy when delivering those words, so she might be implying her trend of having crushes rather than something haunting. Even bringing up "her pictures" would significantly dim her aura, so it doesn't really feel fitting here.
- Even if she did recently received her own nudes around the time of Somnambula, a direct confirmation on the cause/effect is still lacking (i.e., skipping work is true and receiving nudes is true, but is receiving nudes leading to skipping work true?)
- When Uta finally confided to Io in Neverender about receiving nudes again, Uta seemed to be talking only about that one scenario in After the Rain when she washed Sensei's back. I feel like Uta would've mentioned that it actually had already happened twice if we want to assume her skipping work all the way back in Ch2 was caused by nudes. It would be something like "I was about to go to work...then my phone went off" and "then months later I was about to take a bath...then my phone went off", for example. Instead, she made it sound like the nude she got during After the Rain was something that happened for the first time after a long while.

So, my actual question is did I miss something? Was her absence actually being brought up and discussed in some other events so I don't have to make this assumption that isn't that impeccable in my book?
I've made it to this point and Uta's missing completely that day. The first one to notice is Ami, as you have pointed out. The second is Ayane:

I'll open the topic again if following events mention it, but I think you got that covered.

Hey guys, please refresh my memory

after reading the last few pages i wondered

i remember in my first run of the game that if you're a bad homie chika asks rin if her "love" was akira

but what happened if you are a good homie?

before someone crucifies me for it, i played a blind, no wiki, no spoilers first run

I feel like this is relevant, although Deskel had probably compiled it at some point:

Fourth reset details on each of the three gods (A life of prizes):

Nothing really new here, but this is something that is hard to come by as it requires you to replay the choice between Wires and HOPE. So there you go.

She asks if it's Molly. The event you're looking for is "The moon is beautiful".

I recommend installing URM, as it will enable you to see both variations of any event on the fly.

I don't think she meant it literally even though how some people think it may connect to possible abuse she got.

I understood. What I'm worried about is you having that kind of reaction before the events that I would have imagined giving you that reaction. I'd have imagined you completing chapter 3 and then having that day long or so break so you can fully unwind after the tension has released. Doubling up on suffering because of an unfortunate time to have a break would have been bad. The start of chapter 4 is rough if you just decide to experience the chapter 3 ending and then just keep plowing onward.

Or 3. Sekai was the reason that Mr. Tojo developed a fondness or tenacity for tori shio ramen. Dun dun duuuuuun :LUL:

How can you not when an otherworldly hot redhead kept showing up to your restaurant for a dish which she would've whored herself for if you charged her extra. Won't you want to personally perfect it so that she kept coming back?

Anyway enough for the gibberish; I'd say Kaori knowing tori shio ramen is more likely under Sekai's influence, but only because from a player perspective this deduction is a lot more tangible. As in, we've seen redeye Kaori showing up for the dish, and we've seen Sekai personally tells you how much she loved that dish, and we've seen Pareidolia confirming Sekai's existence inside Kaori. Comparing this to Wires: we haven't gotten the key confirmation that can finally cement the idea that Mr. Tojo is the second god, instead of some other ideas like simply being a follower of Wires, a victim of Wires, or a host of Wires. Tsuneyo's hinted mysterious origin might indicate Mr. Tojo's identity also not being ordinary, but still a direct confirmation is not here yet.

I'd be 100% onboard to the idea that "Something other than reset happened to Uta, but it was cleared by the reset" if the omen of that "something" was more prominent. Makoto's mania, Chinami's sickness, and Mr. Tojo's presumed demise were all very noticeable and very noticeably gone after a reset, but not whatever Uta allegedly encountered. It feels like a strange development decision to deal with things so offscreen like this, both the emergence and the resolution of an issue that is really worth expanding upon onscreen.

And I honestly forgot that Ayane brought this up before the reset as well, good catch (this also confirms that Ami wasn't a manipulative little biatch that lied about this, for whatever reason she may or may not have). But yeah, unless there are more telltale events that evade me, I don't think a decisive answer is within grasp.

Side tangent: I thought about the idea of attributing Uta's absence to an under way reset a little more. The only bone that I would pick on this is that according to Maya Prime, when people disappear during a reset, even the information related to them is gone without a trace. She must've done the legwork to procure such a conclusion if she also figured out that the pictures in HER journal went away. If Maya Prime is absolutely right about it (which is not guaranteed), no one should be able to contact Uta or know who Uta even was when information wipe claimed her.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
However, a viable counter point is that Maya Prime's legwork regarding this was possibly done only after she regained consciousness. The deletion process by then was most likely already completed. She perhaps never witnessed character popping or never cared whether such thing might be observable by people other than herself or not (proven in All Around the Mulberry Bush that character popping can be observed by regular folks, and the information of the popped character is not immediately gone).

Also, what kind of world is this that erases Uta before Osako? I call BS.
