Chinami will be optional as well, and her content will likely need to come in the form of a patch due to its nature. Still trying to work out the details for that, but every character in the game will have their own romance route.
Thanks for the answer... Every character will get a love route.. That is quite ambitious. But I wouldn't post about abut your plans Chinami and planned incest so openly... You never know where patreon is listening/reading... Would be sad if your page gets under review...
I started this game recently and I enjoy it, but I can't find a single secret (except the clock room which I think happens automatically). I know the pleasure of finding them yourself, but I can't even begin to know where or how. Please help on secrets...
I feel like I'm softlocked. I can't get Rewrite, Reset or the second and fifth secret event. All the girls have 50+ affection and 10+ lust and it's like day 400 or something after all the time I've spend looking for these events. Figured they'd just happen when the year ended, but no such luck. Playing on the latest free version.
The 4th I got from going to the shrine one day, I was going to do Maya's 15 affection event, but I got a secret instead. There's another one you can get after you finger your niece, you'll see an additional option on the weekend. Though if you don't do that, I think its permanently locked off.
The last secret is part of rewind and reset, I think? I'm not sure, but I noticed I got it after I did those.
So I have tried this on multiple days of the week and still cannot get this event to proc. Are there any other requirements for it?
Edit: Well I tried it on Monday and it worked although I am not sure how happy I am about finding it considering the rather macabre content involved. Poor girl on a t.
Congrats! The new girls both look great.
Just remember not to overextend yourself. I think many will agree that we would rather see a smaller gallery of a completed game vs a large gallery and abandoned.
Regardless, everything looks great and I am genuinely enjoying the storylines, when I can figure out how to trigger them.
Loving the new character reveals already, especially Tsuneyo. FINALLY got through the last main event of the update and it was really well done from a writing standpoint. A little hard to figure out in the endless loop portion, but that's minor.

Ehh I think it was the right amount of difficulty, Once I realized you could raise your affection with a certain someone at the shrine, I knew that was the way out.

Yeah, the problem is figuring that out. It took a bit before it clicked that there was actually something incrementing when I went there. I got all the way up to 21 or 22 by the time I figured it out on my first run, which was around the time I commented on it originally as I stopped there without saving, bringing me back to 1 as my save was last updated the first time I managed to get through every location. Now I'm discovering the hidden reactions to the names that I type for Ami after finishing all events except the lust events. I've discovered one possible abnormal reaction, which is to a fairly obvious name for those who paid attention to the details of her past at the beginning. EDIT: Make that two names Ami has extra dialogue for, one name for Ayane at the suggestion of previous comments, and no names so far for Futaba. Thankfully, the scene replay includes the naming question, so I can test different names for reactions and still have the girls call me what I want without having to keep separate saves for that purpose.
Congrats, been keeping an eye on this game pretty much since the beginning, good to see it flourish. Wishing a smooth sailing in the further development of it.
Congrats Selebus, you have the rare honour of getting me to play the entire game without even masturbating once. Sheesh, I don't know whether to be content or angry. All I wanted was to play a porn game for an hour last Thursday and then play some more The Witness, and instead I ended up getting sucked into the game's story and writing and I spent 9 hours Thursday and Friday uncovering all of the content there was to find.
One area I do need to specifically commend you on though in regards to the generally excellent writing is the game's intro. In general terms most indie porn games, and even indie visual novels from which I think you've said you've taking more inspiration from, no matter the actual quality of the game either drop you right in the middle of things or have a bog-standard, rather lacklustre intro.
And that's a shame. Because if the game is mediocre or crap that's just par for the course, to be expected. But sometimes there are actually good games with good plots out there, and lots of people don't get past the first 10 minutes of it because the intro is not indicative of what the actual game is like.
And so I'm glad to see you've avoided falling into this trap with the intro you have here. You managed to lean onto the hidden darkness, the troubling depths beyond the surface that arise in certain parts of the game if you look for them, to have a hook to grab the player and keep them engaged beyond just "quickly checking it out". You have the ominous references to escapism, the "this world was made for you" message, the multiple "jump" commands, and then the very frantic, almost glitching intro screen. It definitely manages to get the impression across that something's not right here.
And yet it's also balanced well enough that it doesn't scare people off, or overwhelms the player, for it might just be a rather quirky intro by an indie dev talking about escapism. Add in the well-chosen background music (haven't seen anyone comment on this yet which is weird, as I find the music choice, especially in the secret scenes, to be very appropriate to the ongoing narrative) and it's a great intro to a, so far, great game.
I want to give some feedback playing the game as a first-timer in 0.5.0, how long it took me and my general playstyle and impressions and all, but I'll do it in a collapsible so as to not fill people's screens with a wall of text beyond what I've already written.
Anyhow that's all I have to say so far (and that was a lot, sheesh), except to thank you for the great game you've made so far. I immediately went to subscribe on Patreon after finishing all available content on Friday, since I really want you to be able to tell the rest of the story you have in mind. Hope you have a great day, and that my ramblings were even somewhat interesting!
This was an absolutely wonderful dissertation of everything in the game so far and I'm incredibly thankful for it! Trying to find that balance between the light and the dark was easily my biggest worry going into this, and I'm glad to know that it's working for you and many others. It's not often that someone takes the time to provide feedback on virtually every aspect of the game, so reading your thoughts was definitely interesting. You chose a good time to pick the game up since 0.5.0 was kind of the first real glimpse into the world and easily the highlight of Maya's character so far, and I'm excited for you to see how her and the other girls will continue to grow and develop in the future.
We've barely scratched the surface of Kumon-mi, and people like you and the others who have shared their thoughts are perhaps the biggest reason I'm able to keep going.
Sidenote: I just went back and took care of both the typo and the bug you found. Thank you again for pointing them out and thank you so much for your support!
