If you check the script, you can actually notice that the day counter went up by nine. So more than a Sunday, the entirety of the next week was also skipped.
Trying to remember the last happy event, how long did it say the baby took to grow?

I absolutely wish this on no one but i kinda hope someone goes through the whole game and notes down every instance of 'slip' and the pop sound effect just so we can start mapping it out for more clues...

The actual pop.mp3 has 32 entries and i might deliver that later.

The next idea is the one everybody already discussed, and that's Chinami being a meat shield for Yumi if Chika decides to get violent. Chika putting Chinami in critical condition
I don't think anyone is suggesting Chika would harm Chinami, in fact I can't ever see that happening no matter what, just that Chinamis health finally deteriorates and she dies, which mentally crushes Chika. I think that (wrongly) finding out Akira is cheating on her with Yumi, and Chinami dying from her health issues? That would fuck Chika up like nothing else. Incoming Bluejay situation where she tries to die and can't

By the way, I don't know if it has been brought up or not, but when you are with Yumi and the lightning starts there are numbers on both Yumi and Akira's eyes. Anyone knows what it means or should we just wait for the reset for it to make sense?

Might as well ask but what da heck was up with the three moons when Akira was fingering Sana. Himawara saving Ayane as well. Dud something get messed with by the entities. Certainly him fingerings Sana was a key for something, though it seems like days were removed/altered.

I also wanted to see them have sex.

That scene is supposed to be frightening to Sensei and Sana, but I can't help thinking it's just the three divine stooges rushing toward the front seat to get a good look at some sweet action

Slip part first. Usage of pop sound effect on the other hand feels rather ubiquitous, but I can look into.
- I only went through the script files; so I will miss any potential 'slip' written on an image.
- Any usage of 'slip' that can otherwise be easily explained with common linguistic logic will be omitted. It has to be a strange and/or overtly intentional use (although I included one exception below).

Whether 'slip' is used for "entering a state of mind" or "entering a dimension" or some other meanings, there is at least one instance where Sensei doesn't want to use this word. So in addition to what it could be insinuating, perhaps this word is something that reminds him of Sekai, a word perhaps constantly used in her infohazard poems, maybe especially when she wrote about the Boy (and perhaps that's why Nodoka knows "how to use this word")

Actually, I've been thinking about that specific instance of AmIOkay saying "imagine the look on Maya's face when she finally slips" and, now that we know what slip means, that can actually confirm that Maya's alive.

Either she wasn't factory reset, or the factory reset itself means a different thing. Recall that when she was gone, she popped as an egg = she shifted somewhere else. What we can interpret is that, rather than being gone, Maya Prime was gone somewhere else (to the replica of heaven).

Additionally, who else is with her waiting at the place she slips to? AmIOkay! To see her face when she slips.

It's possible this has happened to Maya alone, or that it happens to everyone (see other Futaba stuck on that other plane). Maybe factory resetting doesn't erase anything, but rather transports the individual to another plane while installing a backup on Kumon-mi. This would also make sense with the fact that NAO can recall everything using the Wishing Well, well, she can do it because nothing was erased in the first place.

Basically, Maya can definitely be saved as she simply slipped somewhere, and maybe everyone can too.

Edit: aramaug has pointed out it's not AmIOkay that says the slip thing, but Long Maya. So keep that in mind.

It just doesn't connect with the fact that Sekai, uhh, how do I say it correctly... oh, yeah, gave up her family name, something must've happened to be this way, I think
The number of women married to their abusers is substantially larger than you realize.

And also, this is a kind of abuse that can often turn into a twisted kind of love, as it did for Akira towards Sekai, so this fact isn't all the strange. Had Nozomu died alone, Akira would have likely married the widow Sekai, after all.

I agree with the fact they may be slipping to another place and replaced with back ups. This makes a lot of sense. It also may explain why everyone disappears when a "reset" is happening. But then, those who aren't gone stay in the same place? I wonder how. But at the same time...during the reset may also be a slip, so are the ones that manage to stay actually going to a kunomi? Time for dimension and time travel shenanigans..

And this also means that the memory redacting/soft reset didn't just happen at the beach, since Ami and Niki aren't aware that Sensei has been gone for more than the weekend. I wonder if Sekai got up to any shit in the meantime.

It's Long Maya/YouDidIt talking about Maya slipping, not AmIOkay.

The way Maya Prime disappeared reminds me of how Ami did the same during the second reset when Wires melted her organs or whatever, though in that case there's no popping sound. And while Ami thinks she's dying, she also says "I'm not ready to leave yet" (in hex) and her last words are "Goodbye. For now." So maybe she was aware that she was about to slip rather than literally die?

We were already sure that Maya P was in a different place. The idea that she was taken or removed via the same method (of "transportation") that lets Akira or others move between planes is interesting, though. Doesn't totally explain how they're then reset, there probably needs to be another mechanism to "apply" their "saved state" or rebuild when factory reset. I think Maya P's circumstances are at least semi-unique. We don't have precedent for the same exact thing happening to others (effectively jailed,) and we do have evidence that it was done to her, because of her unique existence, and through specific actions. I think there's an easy analogy for her current state, too.
When you delete something from your hard drive, it's actually still there. It just doesn't have any pointers to the data. It exists on the hard drive, but effectively not in whatever folder/game/program it was in. Basically in the void, where you need a recovery tool to find. That is, until it gets overwritten with new data, and it's destroyed. It's an analogy, so not 1 to 1.

Remember there is something different about Ami when reset times come around. I wouldn't be surprised if she can't Slip or anything like that because she's more integrated into the simulation rather than being a free agent.

Fingers crossed it's not "stomachache" with Chinami.
Damn, I hope not. Stomachache is awful because Io knows what she’s asking for — and we know she is going to hate it. Which she does. But Chinami? No. Please no.

I think we’re getting her death. Which he’s been making us dread for years. Bastard.
