While we are going to get an answer with the update, but I must mention it. Whyyyyy Ami doesn't look in the center of the screen like Makoto and Himawari? She definitely looks somewhere else
The new friend(s):
As mentioned already, i guess i'd go with the: No new characters added, but the formation of a new friendship between already established characters.
Likely Maya+. Because she is one of the more secluded characters. Like, who is she even friends with? Ayane, Ami, Akira?
Maybe she'll bond with Makoto more?
Or any other combination who'd form a new friendship.
The Black Orb (Apologise if it was already brought up):
I wonder. Since it was eating away at Akiras mind in Sensei Quest.
Might this be a metaphor/culmination/accumulation for what happened to Akira when Sekai died?
The thing that caused his catatonic state back then?
I can see the Black Orb being a manifestation of Akira's memories related to Sekai's death.
A theory where Akira was indirectly responsible for her death also reemerges:
While trying to kill his brother (as by Akiras blurt out during "Kyoto"), he also accidentally killed Sekai.
Like, he manipulated his brothers car, while thinking Sekai would be somewhere else, but she turned up being in the car coincidentally.
This would gain more momentum if her death was during fall, which might make the Black Orb the god of fall/autum, and maybe further the lead into the "Dark Route".
honestly? i personally think mc dont have any true allies in this scenario only temporary ones when goals converge cuz so far every single "god" was in some way or another antagonistic towards Akira one of them essentially hard reset Nodoka for example probably one of the greatest allies Akira could have in this scenario unstable for sure but who isnt at this point in story.

In anticipation of learning more about Maya's past, here's a theory that I've believed for a while but never got around to writing up:
Akira and Maya met before the accident.
Sekai knew about Maya, was pushing Akira to groom her, and might have been part of it herself.
I'm fairly confident in the first part. The second part is admittedly very speculative, with one piece of symbolic evidence that I might be massively misreading.
I put off this update because I didn't want to be stuck on a cliff hanger for too long. Meant to pace myself and make it last a few days until the next update but then blitzed though it. whoops.
In fact this whole scenario is really exciting. I'm really looking forward to the next update. Woe is me, I have to wait now. At least I have like 60 pages of this thread to skim through.
Also Yumi MIA. Nodoka too?

I'm there with you that Maya and Akira might have met before the car crash, i had that gut feeling for a long time.
I do have a different opinion of how Sekai saw Maya though.
The Sekai we know hates Maya, given how she talks about her.
One of the only ways i could see for Sekai to know about Maya, where Maya met Akira after the car crash, is that the Sekai we know isn't real and never was. She's only a projection of Akira's image of her and how she would feel about Maya.
If Akira and Maya met before the car crash and Sekai got to know about Maya, the reason Sekai hates Maya might be, that she saw the power dynamic between her (Sekai) and Akira in danger. A real competitor, opposite to Nikki.
That, and or Maya was involved in Sekai's death.
As a footnote:
I wonder if the person, the distant relative that abused Maya, was Nozomo/ Nuzomo?.
The basecap wearing dark figure, which now had several appearances. (Was it two different basecaps? red/purple?)
This might not be the place to ask, but there was a game on the site which I was following but didn't download outright since I wanted to wait for more content to come.
It appears it has been removed from the site, because despite following the thread, I can't find any notifications or traces of it.
It was a game which I believe would be similiar to LiL in the sense that it had many cute schoolgirls, I think the name of the game was "star-something" or "gazing"... I don't know I don't remember exactly

I was going to make a joke about "recap" being obvious, but then I thought that maybe recap could actually be about things we haven't seen (like flashbacks). It's still more likely for it to be just a recap of the three groups scattered about, but who knows.
The first "Episcopalis" is when Akira is finally back, following "miserably ever after" (himawari's intervention ?), and helped by gossamer
If that trend is to be followed, then this episcopalis would be them escaping the time travel. It's weird to me if that's the case cause it's one of the earlier events, so probably not. I think it's more likely that episcopalis actually refers to the presence of a higher god, much like gossamer, it's likely that this event will also be presided by a higher entity.
Yellow patch is likely to be about Himawari, or Ami, or the first yellow patch - they all represent the same thing, following the original yellow flower that Akira used to concentrate to run from his troubles, then Ami became that flower for him, and later on it was Himawari's turn.
"God of light" and "waiting room" are... well. Let's just say i'm very anxious and worried for this update, like few before. Especially cause of the "what we'll see when we get there" cause I really really wish we don't end up in a cliffhanger until 2025. I fear what may be coming.
