I don't think you're overthinking anything. To this day Molly still hasn't been definitively penetrated, except during Nodokathon 1 with the dildos, where she took a fairly large sized one without blood. I wouldn't put it past Molly to lie to Sensei about what happened. She was miserable without him, saw how much he was hurting, and just wanted him back.

Molly TSS is gonna go hard.
TSS?

Transpacific Sadness Symposium. Last talk about it brought up how they seem to be about that person's greatest insecurity. I don't think there's another thing that's affecting Molly as badly, and I think the fact that Sel brought up the molly penetration during Nodokathon 2 is him nudging that fact to the surface so it's in our minds when she gets her TSS sooner rather than later.

During the dead month, committed myself to a full replay.

So far I have very little to comment on as Chapter 1 stuff has been sort of done to death, but for a game as convinced it has important things to say about the concept of religion as this, Selebus consistently makes incredibly basic mistakes about theology to the point where I just had to complain to no one in particular - confusing Trinitarianism with the Stations of the Cross is the most obviously egregious one.

Talking about Halloween. What kind of costumes do you all hope to see? Any cosplay from any game that you think could appear?
Believe it or not, I am a persona fan. I kinda hate how short the last Halloween party was, even if it was good content. Loved the costumes. I have always heard Persona Makoto's voice actor in my head anytime I read lil Makoto.

Fun fact: In the Persona games and anime, Joker's cannon name is Ren Amamiya, but in the manga, he is referred to as Akira. Thus Akira x Amamiya = true ending confirmed!?

Very few religious skeptics I've found have had a deeper understanding of religious stuff besides "faith things are faith". I'm no believer so it's not like my understanding is any superior to that, but if you're gonna go further than "not for me", at least try to research the thing you're commenting on, there are enough modern journalists out there. Though, playing devil's advocate, it kinda feels like the usual psychological anime 2deep4me babble, so I'd be willing to cut him some slack.

I wonder if Noriko could talk Yumi into wearing a costume this time. If she manages to do so that would be Noriko's greatest feat next to getting her to ditching the sarashi. And if Yumi dresses up, she should be Ryuko Matoi from Kill La Kill.

We are at least 20 significant events for Yumi away from even the possibility she might consider getting dressed up... even ignoring that, to dress up in an outfit showing that much skin... would that even be Yumi anymore?

A man can dream, of course, but let's at least try to be realistic here...

I also have a hunch that this might merely be a case of Selly writing Molly's dialogue using viewer's perspective instead of her own so that he could keep avoid progression and I am just a massive overthinker, but I rather not think about that for now.

but I think that even without her, she'd put on a hat or a mask or something.
A mask is the maximum i could believe.

I should've mentioned this in my previous post. But I was thinking more along lines of this for Yumi.

But you're right on that much midriff and such a short skirt might be too much for Yumi standards. We need Noriko to work her magic for this one.

Edit: I may have to take matters into my own hands, if we dont get a Yumi costume this year....

Okay so I just caught up to maybe 600-700 posts worth of content, good posts by many people.

My turn to pose a question: does Sel genuinely think Death Ball is funny? Does anyone? Maybe his sycophants that believe he can do no wrong? I just find it so horribly unfunny and try-hard that it seems weird. Like "lol I'm so random look at my spork" when everyone else is :HideThePain: at it.

At this point, for me, certain dorm wars events just have to be taken as non cannon nonsense. It’s already been discussed somewhat how ridiculous them watching a tv with themselves from the future is, for the documentary on Death Ball.

I don’t find it entertaining, personally. Cringy I suppose. I consider Death Ball a microcosm of dorm wars as a whole: something that has become a “required” thing even if it wore out its welcome already.

I actually loved the first Death Ball event. The rehash, not so much, but the punchline did make me chuckle.

But absurdist fiction isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Unfunny because too much is going on (hence the try-harding feeling as well), but for me Death Ball finally redeemed itself by managing to terrorize Ami Prime.

I also have shame for giggling at your spork comment. God fucking damnit.

What made the first death ball enjoyable was the documentary that went along with it. The second was just boring. And the same could be said about the other events from this Dorm Wars. The only Dorm Wars event that I enjoyed was the Tsuneyo and Yumi bodyguard event. Yumi and Tsuneyo bouncing off of each other was genuine comedy gold and how Noriko won the event was hilarious. In retrospect Beach Wars is probably the best Dorm Wars we've had thus far.

Theology and religion in LiL feels caricaturistic to the extent of being very artificial against the backdrop of surrounding arguments. You are quite right with Akira doing mental gymnastics and poking nonsequitous holes on religion to revoke religion doctrines forced upon him. Like a child thinking of all sorts of illogical and laughable arguments in mind to oppose everything parents said to him. That way, nothing serious would come out of it and it slowly becomes a paranoid rabbit hole. Like all the minor "gods" or whatever creatures we saw in Ch.4.

Or, it's just that Sel is bad at theology and profound thinking. Alright but it's something I didn't want to believe. He didn't get to level of the usual Japanese creators after all.
