There's definitely material in here that is sensitive in terms of mental health. I understand where the DDLC comparison comes from, but I'd say it's closer to a more Japanese-style denpa game in that there's buildup, progression, and reason for everything happening during the 'descent' into the darker parts of it.

As someone who also struggles with mental health, it's very important for me to do it justice and portray it properly in all its forms. Of course, this means that some of those depictions may be purposely placed in unexpected areas to make the reader feel uncomfortable or confused. If you have trouble with things like that, I still urge you to continue on and hope you will. My life was changed by a game that battered me over the head with horrible things because, at the end of the day, things like that can really help you realize how much brighter the "better" parts of life are

So I've played a few hours and in order to avoid spoilers, I want to ask a couple simple yes or no questions:
1, does the game as it currently exists have a set end date, either due to story reasons (eg, end of school year) or content reasons (eg, "thats all the content we have now, thanks for playing")?
2, can I get all, or at least the vast majority (say 3/4s) of scenes in one playthrough (i.e., focus on one girl, get her content, then focus on another girl, get her content, and so on)?

This game is great. I'm already hooked and definitely won't be stopping.

I agree that it's important to take the bad so you can appreciate the good. I just don't take completely unexpected tragic events well, which was why I asked for the warning here if something really bad happens.

Definitely don't shy away from going as dark as you want with the game, but I would appreciate a content warning or something when the game boots up if you go much darker than you have.
