Some serious castings, but with some time fuckery invovled. Thanks to temporal fuckery, currently-adult actresses can be pulled from their younger years to play teenagers, and the same actress may play multiple roles from the same bloodline. For example:
Sara and Sana: Wynona Ryder. (rocks the goth aesthetic in her youth, and the haggard single mother vibe as an adult)
Touka and Tsubasa: Anne Hathaway (princess typecasting makes this easy)
Rin: Christina Ricci (no way I could cast a project with 35 female characters and not include her)
Rika: Natasha Lyonne (the ultimate living-train-wreck actress)
Osako: Clea Duvall (perfect lesbian energy)
Molly: Sadie Sink
Yumi: Eliza Dushku (Faith from Buffy is the entire reason I have a "brunette with an attitude problem" kink)
Noriko: Michelle Trachtenberg
Otoha: Kristin Stewart

Not very realistic is it though? Real Ami would be snuggled up against him so completely it'd look like she was trying to become his skin, i'd expect her crotch to be in direct contact with his thigh, her right arm under his shirt and draped across his chest and her face buried in his neck.

I mean yeah I definitely agree with that. I was more just focused on making a wholesome image that popped into my head to pass the time more than anything. Admittedly some of the positioning was extra difficult on this one for me, but it just takes practice.
I only half like this particular render, myself. I was back and forth on if I even wanted to post it, but figured might as well.

More people would know Higurashi through the animes (both old and remake) and that has no sexual content. Tbh I can't even recall sexual content from the novel, although I've played a very long time ago and probably just forgot.
Regardless, sexual content is the primary core of LiL, for Higurashi it's hardly more than an afterthought, as at it's core is a discussion about cute things/normal things turning out completely insane/terrifying.

it's mostly jokes where Keiichi and Irie are the "perverts" during the scenes at the restaurant where Shion works, although a scene or two can get rather weird
I think that reputation comes from the fact that the characters are young even for anime standards and still has some sex jokes and the pervert trope
this fucking game,left me heart broken not once but twice,when is the wrath of god coming?,my brain cannot comprehend this anymore,I have become overloaded, as I play this game on a second play-through the less it makes sense and the more hurting my brain receives, I just warn you if you ever listen to"dies irae" while playing this game lord have mercy on us
