I could be wrong, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I remember, someone had commented that Selly's speech was at a time when he was still on Patreon, and that he still said there would be no sexual content for mages, then this sentence would be kind of invalid since a lot has changed. (Again I could be wrong so if someone could correct me I would appreciate it.)
That is accurate, but I do believe as Patreon gave him the middle finger, his thoughts on the matter have since evolved. Even so, it’s understandable to be skeptical from a 2020 statement.

Here’s a more recent statement regarding the Wizards:

I find that 'B' option to be disingenuous, Selly as an author has made it pretty clear the green path is the only correct path and he fuckin' knows that, so yeah, technically true, but also rather warped to thrust the responsibility for the non-choice of it on the player who just wants to stick to an author's uncensored vision.

'A' is also somewhat of a strawman, you can enjoy lewd content with teenagers, in fiction, cause from a purely biological perspective, they're around the start of the breeding age bracket, throughout most of human history, 14-16 year olds getting pregnant was so common as to be considered completely standard. To then suggest if you're cool with that then you must be ok with lewding the prepubescent... is bullshit. Only from a statutory rape perspective could you argue they are equal and i would argue even then, most people would agree it's far more fucked up for an adult male to fuck a kid then a teenager, even if both are gross.

All the being said though, it's fiction, they're pixels, we're playing a game about a sexual predator, caught in the cycle of abuse, everyone should know what they're getting into and i do agree that folks suddenly drawing a line and bailing on the game as wizard content nears seems a bit ridiculous, but fuck it, it's up to them to do so and the dev and community should feel free to say 'cool story bro, bye felicia' if they try to get on their high horse about it on their way out.

Sel's final comments on this forum before he ragequit because there was piracy on a piracy site was that we were a few years out from it happening IF it happened, because it would take the narrative a while before it would make sense.

That was in November 2021, IIRC. definitely 2021, may have the month wrong, but it was right around the time the Patreon drama happened. So we're right on the 3 year mark. I think he specifically said 4-5 years, but that's only a year out now, and the timeline he presents now is a lot clearer than what he was giving back then, so it wouldn't suprirsed me if 4-5 has become 3-4.

Headpats are returning
I am fairly surprised that they're returning honestly, for they would also imply the return of invite-over events as well if the old pattern continues, and here I thought they would be all but "abandoned" because of the current story direction. Inviting someone over not only feels like an extremely high risk activity now, but also means that Sensei is finally motivated enough again to actively call someone for hanky-panky, which would be fairly surprising to me as well if true.

That is of course if the story direction is still more or less the same after whatever happened after reset6, or if the old pattern continues. Maybe Sensei is not opposed to inviting someone over anymore after he gets sent back to a jollier time (IF that really is what's happening), or maybe he never is opposed to petting someone to cum then and there on a random park bench instead of his bedroom.

That scene is important because Yumi ends up thinking Maya is weird because she doesn't want to eat while being watched. However, later Yumi is bashful about eating in front of Sensei. Hypocrisy, or something deeper..........................?

To be fair, Selebus makes it extra clear when wizard content appears, and the game itself hammers how wrong it is to almost ludicrous extents.

I'll also add a few thoughts about the general topic, although I won't be repeating the same points Bingoogus has already made, you can assume I agree with them word for word.

Wow, all that and not a single theory mentioned. Maybe I'm already getting prepared for random posting during the two month break.

Sorry i can't upload images but at the very beginning of the game, when ami visit us in the school office, she ask for keys.
Sensei ask about if there are a spare key under the mat. Ami says someone STOLE THE KEY and they had changed the lock.
Do we know who stole the key. Or was ami lying about it and trying to get the key from sensei so she has more control of sensei's life from the start.

Heavily implied that it was Maya. In fact, Ami very likely knows that it was Maya and is saying that to poke Akira about it.

When Maya reveals that she has the key (I think during her birthday), she may have also mentioned the changing of the locks, but I'm unsure. Probably didn't.

Edit: the other possibility would be Ayane, but since she cloned Akira's cellphone without leaving a trace, I think she'd be able to do it with a key as well.

Maya indicates she doesn't want to be watched while she is eating, period.

Yumi specifically doesn't want to be watched by Sensei in particular, because she finds him creepy. Nuance is a thing.

What are the responses to Noriko's event I Really Want to Stay at Your House?
During the first playthrough, accepting that even if she was a crazy stalker chick, that was way too much. And start pitying the poor girl. On the second playthrough is just added tragedy after being traumatic since the first introduction. Noriko's whole thing is tragedy. Poor Noriko. And to top it all off, she might not even exist.

I'll usually use my mealtime to catch up on videos or series, and I hate to be interrupted.

However, I absolutely adored to sit in a big table for meals with colleagues, and even for meeting new people.

As a wise man said, it depends.

I wouldn't say Selebus is equating the two, but simply that they are both terrible things and people willing to sit through the Io stuff for one example with no problems and then saying they would uninstall if there was a Chinami scene is somewhat absurd from his perspective. Or that from his perspective, trying to maintain some kind of moral superiority in the face of evil by closing the door when a line is crossed after you already watched for countless hours is ridiculous. That sure there is a lesser evil but trying to argue that distinction in the direction of a justification is ridiculous. You either recognised that its mostly all fucked from the start. Or you were lying to yourself by saying it was all fine up until the moment you quit and your still a good boy because you quit the game after making a pointless arbitration of fictional evils so you don't have to feel bad in this happy game.

That's what I think he meant anyway. A happy face makes a happy place, please remember to smile.?.?.?
It probably wasn't worth continuing this line of discussion anyway, so feel free to ignore.
