I said 3dcg, So that includes Koikatsu, HS, etc. And I will stand by the statement that 95% of them are a complete waste of time. Lil would be amongst the others in the 5% that are not, in my opinion, a complete waste of time. Some of the 5% use daz3d, some use hs, some probably use something I don't know the name of. I'm not saying the engine makes a bad game, I'm saying that literally 95% of the renpy 3dcg games are, in my opinion, hot garbage.Tbf, Koikatsu character models (such as in LiL) are at least as repetitive as Daz3D models.
In my personal opinion, I don't see a correlation between different game engines and the quality of a game. Whether a dev uses Daz3D models, Koikatsu, Honey Select, AICG, photo-tracing or hand-drawn graphics will just impact the personal visual taste of the player. There's enough good titles using either of those styles. Some of my favorite games are text only even.
The fact that so many popular games are using Daz3D models is probably because it is easier to use/edit existing models than having to create images from scratch (e.g. hand-drawn). I wouldn't even say that there is a lot less Koikatsku or HS games out there though, which are comparable in terms of effort used in character creation. AICG is also not too difficult to use, at least if doesn't have to be perfect, the high quality ones need a lot of work too though (a lot of touching up).
I also find it funny that you bring up the RPGM engine and highlight it positively. This is by far the most archaic engine still in use, probably because the sex game dev slaves in Japan keep pumping out low effort slop in that engine to this day, somehow keeping it relevant.
Tl;dr: You can't derive the quality of a game by the engine or the character creation software used (unless it's very sloppy AICG, I guess) and need to look at them individually.
Half-assed KK games look terrible. Half-assed DAZ games look terrible. Asset recycling is rife with all three engines, creating a "sameness" to many games created in them. There are a very small number of KK games that genuinely look good because the dev put significant effort into the character design, and there are an even smaller number that actually have decent non-stock animations -- LiL has high-effort character art, but no-effort animations, for example. KK has this problem that if you don't do it right (and most devs don't) the characters look like they have no nose at all, and the laughing expression makes the characters look hideous.Tbf, Koikatsu character models (such as in LiL) are at least as repetitive as Daz3D models.

I'd have yet to see that.(We may get deleted for being offtopic if past experience is anything to go by. So I probably shouldn't have continued this tangent.)
Just my personal opinion, man. I liked Eternum for example, but there is something creepy about HS games. There is a effect: Зловещая Долина(Uncanny Valley), HS games models tend to give me that "Uncanny Valley" feelings, despite the fact that they are not meant to be seen that way, which is reason I dropped Eternum, there is something not right with HS models, there is a feeling of if not disturbing then at the very least unpleasant stuff. Unless people get the same feeling as me, then Eternum and Ripples are good, to that I concurHS games can be fantastic - look at Eternum or Ripples for example, especially their most recent updates are ridiculously good looking. E.g. look at this animation by the Ripples dev using HS1 and the most recent update has soo many cool sci-fi ones: https://f95zone.to/threads/ripples-v0-7-0-public-jestur.56110/post-14437927

Maya has tears in her eyes and I could be wrong, but she seems to be naked too....... Depending on the context I might go back to hating Ami and remove them from my signature ;-;You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

I would definitely say the picture shows a freaked out Maya and Ami calming her down..... Although I do wonder about the reasons why Maya is naked. I doubt it's about the threesome with Sensei, since he left the party before they even got there, and now he's in the middle of resetting the worldHands on shoulders (get yourself together!) or Hands around neck (why you little...!!!!)???
I am of the opinion that this is a misunderstanding of what Maya Prime explained. Every Akira was Akira, what she meant was that none of the previous Akiras could withstand learning about the past - thus none of them were "her" Akira. The very notion that they broke down upon learning the past is evidence that they were in fact Akira, otherwise they wouldn't meltdown upon revisiting memories of another person. As far as I remember, we haven't really learned too much about the other Senseis in loops before the start of the game (who were decisively not Akira, if Maya Prime was to be believed).
Okay, a few points about this picture. At the end of the last update Akira, Makoto, Ayane and Maya were thrown into a "timetravel" event. New Maya was with Ami during this, with the costume that she's wearing for the current halloween. This means that either this is happening as the reset goes on and Maya is "imagining" the timetravel, or that this takes place when she comes back. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. I find this much more engaging than the stated alternative, and as you go onto explain it does fit with what else we know. However, unless I am mistaken Maya Prime operated under the assumption that the previous Senseis were "fakes," not incomplete Akiras or Akiras who "break" when remembering certain things. Our current Akira is either able to contain / handle more memories than these older imperfect Akiras, or he is the one real Akira. Either way, something makes this Akira special, and Maya Prime responds to this uniqueness.I am of the opinion that this is a misunderstanding of what Maya Prime explained.
