Yeah. That was one of the bits that made me think about the question of how much reset knowledge if any Ami has at that point. If she were trying to get Akira worked up, you'd think she'd have teased him with this possibility, knowing how he'd respond.

I do find it somewhat silly that you and everyone in your camp plus everyone who falls into Mooney's camp can ever claim or at least assume any degree of likelihood to either possibility. What Mooney showed was there is an explanation that can fit that suggests Ami has been aware all along, but it's all unprovable, no evidence definitively pointing one way or the other currently exists, the two theories rely on interpretations of the same evidence... so i ain't taking a stance, either works, both fit, no way to know which is right so it just feels foolish to me for anyone to even lean a certain way, reeks of bias and cherry picking to fit a preconceived and preferred outcome...

This is something i see quite often in this thread, lost in the joy of theorycrafting i feel too many people lose the forest for the trees... this isn't a personal attack or anything, you just happened to be the latest person to rub that particular gripe of mine and forced me to throw out my usual 'hey guys, take a step back from this stuff for a second and remember the big picture' reminder.

Yeah. I get what you're saying. The tunnel vision is one of the problems with theorizing about a work in progress: confirmation bias is almost impossible to avoid. But hey! Theorizing is fun, and, LiL almost demands it, and at this point we can't be sure where the game is headed. So damn the torpedoes and full speed ahead!

(As long as we all remember that these theories are hypotheses, not yet established textual fact.)

That's not what i'm saying, theorycraft away, i enjoy reading them, it's a small point of order if nothing else, it's the jump from an interpretation to actually taking a stance that i feel is unwarranted, i really enjoyed reading your Ami theory as you were building it, but at no point did i see any reason to start thinking you were anymore right than the counter position, both fit, if Ami pretends not to have a clue or Ami doesn't have a clue both look the same then yes, either could be true. I try to be a voice of reason in moments where i feel the tone of conversation starts to pull beyond wants known and starts to get into moving on like a position has to be taken, there shouldn't be 'camps' for the new Ami information, when you and Fdsa first got into it it already felt like things were a bit too stubborn for unproven hypotheses. Again, none of that was an attack, just a call to check things aren't getting lost between where things are and where the theorycrafting has taken things.

Moonflare already put it very well and I agree with how she sees it. Theory crafting in itself is something that cannot be fully based on facts, it's always gonna be the subjective interpretation of certain situations.
So even if I say things like "I'm willing to die on this hill" or that I present some counter arguments for certain theories, please don't take it too seriously, or even personally.
As a matter of fact, I am probably very wrong most of the time, so take whatever I say with a pinch of salt and treat it just as a little window into my smooth brain and how I see things - not as a mantra that one is to follow or that has any kind of merit to it just because I say so.

I will try to mention it more explicitly in the future when something I say is a theory rather than making it sound like something is supposed to be proof or a fact.
Anyway, I blame the lack of new updates, Sel bring us new things to talk about!

However, I do think that, between the regulars, it's a good policy to always assume the best out of what people are talking about since miscommunication is a thing, and so is the inferred common interest in keeping the thread a good place for everyone involved. Basically, I tend to assume it all comes from a good place, and advise that others do the same.

On a different topic, especially for those also replaying, have you guys noticed some disconnect between how characters acted and in how they acted later? Io's being introduced right not and one of her conversations went like "just remembered your penis heh" And I'm like, who are you? Is this Maki shapeshifting?

I'm curious about Yasu, because if I recall I had once noticed that she acted a bit different in the beginning, so I'm looking forward to that. Maybe it just boils down to Selebus getting the hang with how they talk with time idk.

So either Ayane or Ami lied about kissing, or Ami doesn't remember it. Which is weird. At the end of chapter 1 reset, Ami was on top of sensei similar to "breed your niece minigame" but she was contantly saying help me or something similar like she knew she was going to die.

Does resets affect Ami differently than other characters? Like she gets changes everytime she fails to create perfect world or something?

iirc Ayane later confirms that she lied about the kiss (that was to check if Akira really didn't have his memories or something, and that she was worried how she might look like to an Akira that had a teenager he couldn't remember being with suddenly throwing herself at him). But I can't recall the event.

This also checks out with an event in chapter 1, where Akira asks himself if the original Akira had any feelings towards Ayane and the screen changes to her face being a sunflower and the narration answering: NONE.

As for the Ami stuff, that's being discussed.

Yeah I think it shows that while Selebus had their general characters on paper he definitely took a bit to nail them down fully.
So many of their attitudes feel absolutely concrete in the latest version, as though you can tell what they're gonna say, but then replaying it there's a few times where I was like "huh".

Then again they do get a lot of intentional changes over time, such as Miku being open about sex talks.

Ami going from a loveable and out of her way nice girl is HUGE, but I think the biggest difference is Ayane, she's way more immature and clingy and while those do become either story related or relevant to a point, she's kind of crazy at the start, which gets snubbed out over time outside of story developments (IMO).

A good few of the class started off as blatant tropes but segway a bit over time.

Dunno if it was ever mentioned before this, but at least I kinda catched it being explained in the latest update, she thinks that even if the memories of Sensei get wiped, it's still him. Kinda the opposite of Maya.

Everything have a point of view, and... well, what if that wasn't Sensei who's being «reborn» at the beginning, but Prime Maya who have slip in a new reality where our Sensei was newly «created»?
I mean, since we know about the multiverse thing, everything become unclear, and our first Maya, the famous Prime Maya, may not be from our reality.
In the picture DeSkel show, Maya says that Sensei was the only one who have a drastic change of personality, if she didn't mistake of course, and we saw, in an alternate reality, that Sensei love soccer, when everyone else stay the «same».

I'm not sure if I'm clear or not, but... I try to.

Not much changed today. New characters aren't being introduced fast enough to make it on the list. I'm also starting to wonder if those dark skinned characters are actually two or just one person but the list is bugged or something. Identical twins is certainly possible and for the sake of the list, knowing this information now could help in the long run.

So Selebus takes into account that you can change it to daddy through the computer, and that she's now okay with it. ALSO, during one of chapter 1's lust events with her, she will call you daddy and forget about it right after it.

I'm not surprised to see that Sel couldn't resist the temptation to put himself in as an Easter Egg.
A bit more surprised to see Onii-chan included for some of the girls (but not for others). Then again, Sel is an old otaku, so it does make sense.

I think the husband one for Haruka was the only one I tried during natural gameplay (back when I wasn't as invested in digging as deep in the lore as possible) which is when I realized that there even are custom reactions.

But I have to agree, Old Sport is probably the most based lust name from that whole list. I might even have to try and figure out how to integrate this somehow into real life

I didn't know she was bi and had a crush on Chika at that point so I brushed it off to her just getting easily lost looking at nothing, sorta like Futaba I guess? But no, now it makes perfect sense. I mean look at her, that's actually kind of adorable now that I look back.

Autovn might have screwed you over there. The dialogue you get from speaking to rin in the hallways for the first time insinuates the crush she has on Chika even if she isn't confessing it yet.
