Does anyone have any new theories about Kyoto? As of 0.45 it seems likely that there were no plotholes/memory fuckery, and that it was simply a different timeline.

But i honestly kind of hate that, it feels like a copout answer and it significantly detracts from the scenes impact, since it's just something that happened to a different sensei with a different Sekai in a different world, by extension that also means that any information presented is meaningless, Sekai seems far more humane and kind in the flashback, but, again, that is not "our" Sekai, who knows just how different she and her relationship with Akira is in this world.

I'm still caught on how Niki is repeating lines from it 1:1. If Niki and Seki are separate entities, why is Niki echoing speech she never heard? If they're the same entity, who came first, Niki or Sekai? If they're both real but Sensei is just hallucinating old conversations, uh... What the fuck else is going on? Etc. This feels like one of those essential things.

I've seen a few more, and a LOT more for different characters in general, but I will leave that as an exercise to the viewer.
Echoing dialogue like this (different characters saying the same lines 1:1) is something I've been paying a lot of attention to lately and why I'm so inclined to think of ideas in which some/all of the characters are not-real entities.

While I'm discussing this again, I shall also point out an instance of visual echoing:

Unless there are better examples, I think you give this more importance than it's worth, the most likely explanation is that it is simply a way for Selebus to imply that Niki is trying to take Sekai's place in sensei's and Amy's heart, there is probably no in universe reason for the repetition.

Maybe. That's a HUGE disaster scenario, though. First it would be putting plot above character (e.g. literally making what characters say a tool of the plot rather than what they would most naturally say), two it would be an indication of outright laziness (frequently reusing dialogue instead of coming up with new dialogue which would express a similar idea without repetition), and three, it would be a shallow red herring in a game which otherwise encourages/demands one to think about perception deeply. Among other things. If indeed there is no in-universe reason then that would be a pretty big knock on the game in my opinion, though perhaps I'm exaggerating. It's definitely the case that Niki has a special relationship with Sekai and is trying to 'take her place,' as indicated by recent updates, but I hope that would point to Sensei projecting Sekai onto Niki rather than Niki arbitrarily mirroring things Sekai said with no knowledge of her having said them.

I strongly disagree, characters repeating sentences said by others (even unintentionally), is a relatively common writing tool to establish commonality, it is only a problem when it's way too specific and holds no narrative relevance. What you used as an example is a sentence generic enough that it's easy to imagine anyone using it, and the narrative significance was already established.

A far better example of a problematic scenario is Sekai (Kyoto) and Sara (I think her last scene), the similar framing of the shot, identical facial expressions and the similar theme all work to not simplify imply commonality but to grab you by your ears and scream the message of the scene at you.

If the first example works as a subtle way to convey meaning and as such works on its own, the second example is so blatant that there has to be something more to it, some in universe explanation, otherwise it is simply a sloppily written scene.

This is after she assaults Niki btw. Also that was a slap in the face in case it wasn't clear.
I choose to forgive and turn the other cheek.

You forgave Yumi for what she did to Futaba didn't you?

Just to confirm what we already knew, in the v46-bugs-and-errors channel of the LiL discord they mention that the main bugs present are:

* Several invite events still drop you at the Chapter 3 hub. Proposed solution: visit the Maid Cafe, it has a proper exit condition.

* People who refused Tsukasa in Failsafe erroneously get the tsukasacurious flag. No solution beyond waiting for the autopatch.rpy in the next release.

* Post-Nut Clarity should have a replay end trigger for the hidden scene, and should lift the mayablock flag for the normal scene. Also to be resolved next release.

* Even with 50 Kirin lust, the new outfits are not properly unlocking, due to a code mismatch between unlockables.rpy and mathhomework.rpy.

* There's no trigger to cut off the buzzing noise when finishing a replay of Solar Eclipse, so the sound continues out of the replay

No? She's a shitty person, and yet I can respect and even love a shitty person, as long as being shitty isn't all they are. Yumi bullying Futaba is reprehensible and yet this isn't her whole character. Yumi is also the girl being sexually assaulted (multiple times), and neglected and put into toxic conditions, and trying her best to change and cope with what's thrown at her.

Other important factor is that a lot of us love Rin, while not that many tend to hold Futaba in (that much of) a special place. So that is also a bias that factors in, as I'm much more affected by someone hurting a character I love than one that's just there (especially if said bullying happened and stopped so many chapters ago).

Seeing how this is going, im going to open the votes to see who you think will get de D first, Tsukasa or Tomoko. Probably Tonfa but Tsukasa doing it first to throw it at her sister face to let her know she deserve her place at her family would be interesting too.
I believe if any of Tsukioka sisters get the D first, then the second sister is going to do that as soon as possible just to live her name as Tsukioka: Touka just will never take the fact that her lil sister get the d faster than her, while Tsukasa will have the d just because Touka did it, so she'll want to prove she is the Tsukioka too.

They are still doing that name thing. I went with Barack because I thought that was the funniest.
What do you mean, it is Barack Sensei Obama for you!

Only that teenagers wouldn't be using tv's anymore... I don't think.
How old are you to think TV is still a thing among youngsters?

And then suddenly asks "How much can you see in the dark, Sensei?" There is something seriously wrong with this girl. It wouldn't fucking surprise me if she's a literal ghost or dead person.
I want to be completely honest: I was afraid of Yasu at first. Her introduction was creepy as hell.

It's honestly like the dev looked at all their characters and thought: "They aren't insane enough."
Honestly, that's explaining a lot, xd.

I feel so unsettled that I'm expecting Yasus' neck to snap 150 degrees and look straight at us or something...
I felt the same, bro!

So, Molly, Sana and Nodoka will have these invite-events. Will Molly and Sana get the D though?
Probably not. The only girl thus far to lose her virginity on Akira's bedroom was Futaba. Nodoka should be getting some, although it'd be wholesome for them to hug instead.

Or who the hell knows, Molly was about to have sex and there's no real reason why not in her front. I'm just a bit confused as to why Akira is even inviting them there. Maybe in this new version of inviteovers he'll invite them there for the first event and then shift to the apartment? Because it's very likely that Niki will start noticing a lot of not pink hair in the bed she sleeps every night.
