Here's a question then: are Happy Events, slips? Or maybe some of them are, and some aren't? And how do the girl's experiences fit in?

What I'm trying to say is, FUCK man, this game doesn't give up its secrets easily, and I'm a dumbass that can't figure shit out. Sorry for the lore rant; maybe somebody can answer some of those questions with text from the game, but I gotta say, its dense.
Feel free the check out my old post about the slip appearances in the game.
After that due diligence, however, I came to the conclusion that the word 'slip' is yet to be very carefully defined, as plenty of times it's just "this word is said when things are fucky or before things become fucky", and rarely the necessity of connecting this word with some distinctive functionalities surfaces. For the sake of this argument though, the broadest understanding that I could conjure is that slips mean someone traversing through planes/dimensions/states of mind/anywhere at all and result in something freaky on screen. Therefore, all happy events count as slips but each differs in substantial ways.

The key concept that binds all examples found is You went somewhere impossible, either body or mind (or both). Therefore, for your question, I'd encourage you to consider that "a different plane", "a different time", "some combination of past experiences being relived", and "different experiences of Sensei in this never ending loop what create different fractals of realities" might be more or less the same thing altogether. If you would, you can think of them like temporarily loading a save; whether that save is an old one you yourself made, an old one someone else made, or a corrupted one is pretty much out of the control of Sensei, past iterations (I do believe that all Senseis are in the same boat as blackouts are not exclusive to the current Sensei), or other girls who are unfortunate enough to experience this as well. And you are free to define how meaningful the secret you find in save1 is to the in-game characters in save2; I just find it mostly difficult for the most part.

More importantly, I say what I said is not because this understanding is correct, but is because such a thing too matters little when it comes to begging these happy events to have any reachable meaning. But perhaps your real concern regarding all of these isn’t what slips are or what happy events are, but is something even more fundamental like “Should I regard them as real, true, or applicable to our Sensei and his current journey? If yes, in what ways? Or, are they merely acid dreams that would mean next to nothing as soon as you wake up from them?” There has never been a solid, confident answer to these if I can say so myself, and I imagine it would stay that way for a very long time.

It's good. You learn to give up. I've gradually shifted from "everything has to mean something!" to "yea I'll start believing something when Selly finishes his presentation", especially when not being able to crack all happy event deals exactly zero detriment to me understanding general things and enjoying general story progression. Not every WTF deserves a thesis until Selly can prove its worth later.

Given that Selebus isn't Japanese though, and neither is his audience, even if he's aware of it, I don't know that he'll discuss it (because that same correlation isn't as valid to a western audience).
Tanning is a common element of the bimbofication trope, and that's a westernized parallel of the trope -- not exactly the same thing, but very much an overlap.

Thank you for exploring that in more depth than my early-morning brain managed to articulate.

I think the interesting part for me is that

And yes. Hopefully everything will work out. But this is LiL, so it will probably go horribly wrong first.

Funny/not funny.

But I am curious to see if they actually form a connection, since they really have suffered similar awfulness.
