That would change nothing. The way this site works is that mods update the thread when people provide them with links. They won’t have anything to update if people don’t give them anything. I have no control over what does and doesn’t get posted here.
How is that a bad idea? You're getting the developer to interact with the community, and not say "fuck F95". The absolute least you can do is wait the two weeks until the public release.

Sometimes it get leaked same day, other times it get leaked a week later and sometime it doesn't even leak. That's the luck of the draw with piracy.
I have a really extensive post on some topic around here called “Is F95 good or bad for devs” or something where I break down the numbers in great detail, but there is a long history (At least for me) of sales during non-leak updates greatly outweighing updates that do leak. I do empathize with devs who have their work leaked. For many, game development is a good chunk (or maybe entirely) their income so when the stream of money slows down then it hurts. People try to rationalize leaking updates from bigger devs since they'll "still be fine" but that's the same argument if you shoplift from Amazon versus a small business. Shoplifting is bad either way. I also feel like it diminishes the value of paying patrons who go out of their way to support devs.

Agreed, maybe I'm just too old for the Discord crowd but it's a little overwhelming. Though I like reading through the spoiler chat after I play the updates, there can be some good speculation hidden within all of the junk posts. And the stickers are super cute.

Moderators update links if anyone uploads the leak, but it turns out Sel's patrons (over a thousand people) have more decency than yourself (who is so cheap that 5$ is too expensive for him. lame.)
F95 did definitely help me find your game. And this here makes me feel much better about the one time I pirated the release. I found it in 0.7, I believe, and subbed before I had even caught up on the new content in the leak.
