question to you all, how much do you all think this game has traumatized me? from 1 being the lowest to 5 being like my brain just can't cry anymore and just wants sweet ------?
For you? About 8 bananas out of a sandwich. For me? Not even a little... This game isn't traumatizing at all cause it's just fiction, it's interesting but none of it is real... honestly, i kinda lose a bit of my humanity every time i see someone crying in this thread for a completely stupid reason, and to be clear, they're all stupid reasons; Maya died? Whaa. Someone was mean to someone else? Whaa. Nodoka/Niki/Kirin is a poopy pants? Whaa. Closest this game has come to traumatizing was stomachache, but even that was simply an intense experience, i didn't walk away with any scars, just a new insight into a subject i have no personal experience with.

I for one will greatly welcome a Kirin apology arc.
Ayane didn't deserve what Kirin did to her and I hate how she just brushed it all off like nothing.

Now I wonder if one day, after LiL ends, Selebus will find time to make supplementary material expanding on events from the game, kinda like the WoW novels.
Also, the latter wouldn't necessarily be evidence of mastermind Ami, just, y'know, Ami being possessive and acting on it.
I think I remember Selebus saying once that he would be open to writing gaiden chapters / content for the girls, except Sensei wouldn't be present. This was an interesting comment I find myself contemplating from time to time. This could mean -

1) Selebus is a DUMB DUMB YURI HEAD who, once given the opportunity, will eradicate all penises from his writing
2) Sensei is the non-real figure rather than Ami/Ayane/Maya and won't exist in the reality which follows breaking out of LiL's fiction
2.5) This would follow from Sensei being the one who committed suicide at the start and necessitated his students to imagine a world with him alive (much like it is likely he is doing that with Maya right now)
3) Sensei is a real figure who would be present in the future except since the true route is abandoning a reliance on fiction (possibly almost the entire cast of LiL, possibly just the second floor of the dormitory) he won't be there and fiction will have to continue for fiction's sake

Sincerely hope their history isn't just swept under the rug.
Nothing good happens when you share a weiner with Ayane. Chika has rabies and now Kirin might get turned into somebody's front porch after Chika is done with her.

Bingoogus has entered his villain arc.

I, personally, events that closely resemble my life aside, have dealt with many unexpected and conflicting feelings while playing, which is something considering my age.

Also many of the character arcs are compelling. Not all and not all the time certainly, but there are moments.

+1 here. They're characters in a story that I'm witnessing, that's all there is too it. When Maya got popped I was like "damn, exciting twist, wonder where this will go story wise" but otherwise ... I dunno. Good at separation I guess?

fiction will have to continue for fiction's sake
This reminds me of a web serial where the protagonist was pretty much the main driver for the events that kept occurring in the story, and was so intertwined with the overall narrative and events of the story, that when it ended, despite the theme and message being very clear, the author himself had to come out and say that the world kept moving and that the protagonist's story was now done and wouldn't cross paths with the next installment.
I wonder if something similar will happen to LiL, in that Selebus may expand it with material unrelated to Sensei, and we, the readers, try to shoehorn Sensei in those stories.

Jokes on you I took the option to walk out.
Red path is increasingly being treated like comedy. A few more of those choices and the game's gonna end with "and then we save maya and then we bust through the barrier and then we save all the unicorns the end"

I got a vivid image of Sensei dying at the end of LiL and then those scenes ending up with some variation of "And then Sensei's corpse appeared"

If there is a good ending by the GODS I will get it.

Selebus can be sure that I will be there like an avenging angel, ever-present and prepared with deadly resolve to collect all my powers of imagination together to contrive a dick into any scene which attempts to yuri-ify my beloved heterosexual heroines who have never expressed any interest in any sex but men (Sensei). That potted plant in the corner? Actually Sensei, waiting for the right moment. That stuffed rabbit between Rin and Molly on the couch? That's actually Sensei hidden by a perception filter by those uncapable of facing such a masculine reality. Tsuneyo wearing a dildo? That's actually Sensei in a Halloween costume. Through the intensity of my worship and desperation I will defy his creed and form a religion which replaces reality. Sensei is dead, long live Sensei!

I envy those people. Since I also don't feel much of anything from fictional stories anymore (although Lil is still very good at making me feel shit). I miss the impact they once had on me. Isn't it better when you can feel more from a story, isn't that literally the point? Now being "traumatized" might be a bit overkill :‎ㅤD, but still... I feel like if the scenes you mention didn't leave impact on you, then that would be obviously a bad thing. It would mean that either those scenes were badly written, or you just stopped feeling much I guess.

Or maybe they did leave impact and you are just angry because of annoying comments. If so, then disregard :‎ㅤD.

Heart sinks from time to time when going through difficult parts, but that's about it. Life isn't idle enough to get scarred by koikatsu girls' misfortune.

I think I whaa for about a minute when Maya died, then I whaa for a tad longer when I realized I spent too much time on Times New Roman and forgot to work on a presentation that would be due in two days.

There’s nothing wrong with feeling an emotional reaction to something that happens to a character. So long as you remember that it’s just a game at the end of the day, I see it as a very normal thing to do.

I can remember several extreme emotions I’ve had of this game very well…

When you tell a story, especially one rich in characterization, your goal is to get the player to connect with your characters. And the connection is precisely what makes some of the drama and ‘holy shit’ moments all the more impactful.

We all react to things differently, though, and that’s fine.

But yes, LiL is a game that is very much trying to illicit emotional responses out of the player, so it’s perfectly valid if you feel a certain way.
