God I absolutely just hate the lying options, it's either break their heart now or just make everything potentially way fucking worse in the future. I should now better by now than hoping for the slightest chance that things might work out in the end, there's just no way.
also I'm getting a bit of an overload of story shit happening with new characters and old and I am very scared, adding more pieces to the already crumbling tower.

Just a 4th-wall-breaking butthurt rant from Selebus, probably right around the time his game got yeeted off Patreon for obvious reasons. This is very much in character for him.
Luckily there aren't that many more cringe 4th wall moments like this left. Basically just a few Raid Shadow Legends and Coca Cola jokes and a Canadian band showing up out of nowhere.

At first I was excited for this development but I feel like there hasn't been a lust scene that has ended well in a while... Futaba popping in and out, Nodoka putting Akira into a pseudo-coma, Miku and her issue, Futaba/Makoto being puppets... This has a chance of ending poorly.

Molly's lust scene ended great though. In fact, it was one of the first times Pareidolia was full in as a bro. Out of all these people, Molly really deserves a good fucking. She has been trying to get some since her introduction.

I had the same problem. I received the transparency mod in the form of a file
y_outline.rpy. If you also have that file, search it for a line ## choice button background. Comment out the two lines below (by prepending a hash symbol) like so:
