The rest of the characters are great, but none of them quite compare to those three—they’re definitely the best... for me at least.
How long is the game exactly? Or, put another way, what percentage of the game would you say I’ve completed so far?
I love all of them lol Yumi's my #1 personally, but most of the cast has yet to be introduced for you and the character development in this game is very steady and well-done. You'll probably end up liking most characters, including some you might not care about/for at the moment.
It's difficult to give a percentage on how far you are right now, but basically you're still at the very beginning lol my health sucks hard so I'm unemployed and my first playthrough took me about a week but I was basically playing every waking hour. If you're in a more normal situation I imagine this game will keep you going for months.
To quantify it another way the game itself currently has 2.9 million words according to the discord. I'm not sure if that counts stuff on the computer/from the fanfest but for comparison the entire ASOIAF book series (the Game of Thrones books) has around 1.8 million words. Even only being half done I'd be surprised if Lessons in Love wasn't already the largest VN out there, probably by a pretty good margin.
I'm definitely getting attached to the gamme—falling more in love with it as I go—so yeah, I think I get what you mean. But for now, I’m staying focused on the task at hand.
there are already several games I enjpy and am waiting on updates for, so I think I’ll have plenty to keep me busy after finishing the game.
Don’t you have a few favorites you're following alongside this one too?
Not as far as VN's go, I usually try and stay away from stuff like this particularly because I hate waiting around for updates. I don't mind it quite as much with LiL since the updates here are very regular and have a lot of content but that's not been my general experience with similar types of games
I have some regular type games I play to kill time but naturally that's not as fulfilling or gripping as getting really into something like this. Honestly this is the first thing I've read/played/whatever that's really consumed me in years, maybe more than anything ever has. That's obviously something that'll vary from person to person though but yeah, I'm glad you're enjoying so far.
