I think the reason why "am i okay" calls us Sekai and why Akira cast shadow of Sekai in memories is Terminal 23 is not for Akira but Sekai.
This has been discussed to some extent in the attached post:

That being said, I think it's all very interesting. Ami holds a lot of answers, although it isn't clear that she has full access to them herself at all times. We got confirmation that Akira's home is 22, and there have been some references to 24 being either wrong, or about to come through.

More to your point, I think there's enough to assume that Sekai plays a center role (or was supposed to play that role before her untimely death, thus condemning Kaori to it by association). From what we've seen and assumed, she was being groomed to it. There is not enough however to conclude that Akira isn't the central character, because he could simply be influenced by either a willing or unwilling Sekai, which would be enough to call him Sekai (either because he's playing her role, or has traces of her), and yet still retain his protagonism.

This next post is all about Akira being Sekai in multiple interpretations of what that could be like:

All in all, good questions and theories.

The above screnshot made wonder.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Which made me question another thing.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

It made me question the timelines.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

This made me think about terminals.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

And now, one of the biggest question i had while playing the game:

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Gods of the lore please read this and give your opinion. I just wanted to point something about Maya and it got out of my hands. Sorry for any grammer mistakes.
I've gone over the timeline previously:
Here's a little timeline for those interested (doesn't cover everything, but should help one get the gist):

Before Sensei (Before 1989):
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
The 1990s (After Sensei's birth):
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
2000s:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
2010s (shit goes to shit):
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
2020 (The Present, technically):
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
May have missed some things. This game is huge.
To answer some of your questions:

  1. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
  2. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
  3. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
  4. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
  5. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Overall: The girls never really treated Sensei like he was just the creepy teacher that he is, in this timeline. This is likely due to their forgotten experiences with Senseis from past timelines.

New Maya seems to be the only example of a girl uninfluenced by their time in the resets.

Is this something new?
Noriko and Yumi?

Is noriko finally doing a correct choice and choosing someone who is gonna love her back?
It is relatively new with how frequent Noriko "attempts to flirt with Yumi" nowadays, but it's just Noriko one-sided radiating her hormones; she still won't do the correct choice and Yumi is not gonna love her back either.

OH right, Yumi is against lesbos or something like that.
