Chuck-e-Cheese is a giant, anthropomorphic rat (seriously) who is the mascot of a kid-friendly pizza restaurant chain of the same name. It also featured games where you could win tickets that could be exchanged for merchandise, usually requiring an investment of much more than the prize was actually worth. From what I understand, the pizza is pretty run-of-the-mill and the only reason to go there is to keep your kids entertained for a few hours.
Where I live, Chuck-E-Cheese serves alcohol, and there have been several occurrences of parents getting into drunken brawls there at kids' birthday parties.

That's been a normal modus operandi for him. Dude pushes out 60-80k words update every month and has maintained a stable schedule for over 5 years. A break 2 times a year is kinda warranted.

Oh, not at all. His schedule has always been pretty consistent. 10 regular updates each year with 2 months of break. Sometimes a bit more if he releases a fat update, but it's always been consistent. Technically, the fanfest could count as an update, so the schedule hasn't been broken, just that the fanfest was... a thing.

Yeah people don't really respect the need for breaks. If you want to argue lilfest fucked up a good schedule that's one thing, but the fact he plans breaks out a year in advance is top tier burnout prevention.
BEAUTIFUL, the Noriko seggs / invites in 0.50 dream is still alive. We're getting a "bonus" animation on top of the bonus animation, life is good.

Funnily enough, the “too American to be in Kumom-mi” moments I feel don’t come from any of the mentioned western reference, but the racial and gender stereotype awareness Sensei sometimes displays; one is how he responded to Wakana’s “No Imani” sign on her office door, the other is when Sensei said something like “way to go and perpetuate gender roles, [placeholder]” (I forgot where this comes from). For a deplorable person growing up exclusively in Japan, a place with high racial homogeneity and practices difficult-to-challenge gender roles, Sensei’s awareness is imo unusually high, high enough to have me think that “this feels like a US Selly thing and not a JP Sensei thing”.
Regardless, to me this is relatively the same as the rest of the brought up reference examples in the context of viewing experience: not really immersion breaking, not really serious, and not really affecting how I understand stories if I don’t get them.

So both Maya's date and Yuki's cancer resolution coming up in July. Given all the other characters involved in the update, I wonder if Himawari's plan will start to come into action as well.
From the "throne of the god-king" part, I'm guessing Akira will spectate this Nodokathon? Maybe it will be a Nodokathon only for girls actively having sexual interactions with him (with him there)?

IIRC, he usually has ten releases a year. He generally takes June and December off to recharge. So while the fanfest had me worried that we were getting the classic dev burn-out/slow-down, he seems to be pacing himself pretty well.
I think Noriko's father should be sitting on him.

I just want to say that Akira strangely looked really cool sitting on that throne and I have to say that if he had one of his legs lying on top of the other he would have looked even cooler.
And the signs made it even more interesting and badass.

More explicitly from the beginning and less with time I catch myself cringing from the author making externally japanese game with american culture code. This concept seems so bs to me, even Sel himself lolled about it somewhere through the game.
He should've listened.
