welcome to moral nihilism, you often seem listless generally dont care about the consequences of your actions or others and are mainly reactive than proactive in emotional development which can completely regress if any "progress" is made easily due to the persons outlook on life since any empathy or sympathy felt by the individual is seen as living in the moment responding as they think they are expected to respond in any given situation rather than any actual emotional growth because actually caring would be to much effort and investment in a world they already don't care about

There's one last remaining step to reach perfection - hint for each girl where to look for next event. I don't know how difficult it would be, but I can dream. Never again wandering around and looking for something happen.

FINALLY finished all the updates. someone has probably already beat me to this one, know I thought this one up with no shred of evidence for it a while back, that is till playing through these last 4 updates all in one sitting today.

There's a lot to express when it comes to this game.True, no game is completed without that factor, there's a feeling of grief and regret somehow, like trying your best to make somebody like you.
You seem to express a lot of feelings and opinions whenever you reply to someone. And that's wholesome
Her intro event screamed stereotypical celebrity type. I'm not talking about her interactions with player Sensei, he kind of earned those with his antics.
They don't need to change, either, and it was my mistake. I was referring to the evening weekday screens, which are automatically outside the school where the snow is plainly visible. I forget when I replied time wise, but it was probably early morning, I tend to only get time on here around then with some excpetions, and I am in no way a morning person. It was probably a case of my brain not being fully awake and not interpreting what I read correctly.

I don't really see any of the characters as a "Monika" type, not even the ones that seem to have some sort of connection to the resets. Monika is somewhat possessive and is actively trying to get the other girls out of the way, neither Noriko or Maya are doing that. Maya is only taking a passive role by warning player Sensei and Noriko is just going after him at every opportunity without doing anything about the other girls. There is no character actively trying to get rid of the competition, though if my theory about Noriko being behind the jump at the beginning is correct, she may very well be a "Monika" hiding in plain sight.Well, I didn't expect it to end happily, I just hoped that the ending wasn't the same, Because after I finished doki doki literature club, I cried because I couldn't help but feel my heartbreak after realizing what Monika was feeling. It was indeed, probably time related. I probably read that and thought it was referring to the one at the school, which does have snow, as a result of exhaustion mixed with insomnia so bad that nothing is helping. Stranger things have happened.
I don't see how and if it is annoying, they should speak up. We can't know it is annoying unless they do. This place has been used as a place for theorizing from day one and there has been no complaints about the theories. I'd say they are fine as they are, including ending theories, as long as people make sure it is worded to distinguish it from discussion about actual events. Otherwise people might get confused and take a theory as something that happened in game. Example, I usually mention that I have a theory before actually stating what it is. This has no effect on the actual game, there are no spoilers in the theories because none of it has happened and it is unlikely any of them actually will. It would honestly take a miracle to guess what Selebus has in store correctly, he is very unpredictable in his writing, which is actually not a bad thing.
It looks good, though it is a bit hard to see Yuki's stats. A product of her name color and the background, of course.
That's the way he's supposed to be, a cold, unfeeling, asshole. You're not supposed to feel for him, you're not supposed to put yourself in his shoes, you're supposed to hate his guts, feel disgusted with his thought process, his reasoning. There is no option to just fuck because this isn't that kind of game, but for a more story related reason, he is more likely to shoot himself in the foot by trying to fuck them on sight than he is to actually get to fuck them. Each girl has their own personality with their own willingness to engage in sexual conduct. Some are more willing than others, Kirin, while the rest are either not into him (Rin), aren't ready for that step (pretty much every girl I haven't named that hasn't gotten fucked), or hate his guts (Yumi). He's cold and unfeeling toward the girls, not stupid. He knows when not to make a move in order to get closer for the killing blow. This is a girl's school right now, girl's schools tend to be hotbeds of gossip and bad rumors spread like wildfire in a dry forest in California. Bad rumors would end his sexual activity instantly either by alerting another teacher, like Wakana, which would be immediate termination of employment, or by making every other student in the school wary of him. They would all be scared of him and wouldn't let him anywhere near them. Both of these are game over scenarios.
I'm not sure I remember a desire to rape, he's not that stupid, she'd kick his ass and tell everyone else what happened, ending everything in one fell swoop. I DO, however, remember the forced kiss that he himself was also forced into by some unseen force.
Exactly, the only way they would make sense is as a game over. He tries to force a girl, she either resists violently, tells everyone else after the fact, or both, and his life and career are effectively over. Not even the older side characters would let him touch them after that. Hell, I already don't want him anywhere near me and I would be ready to launch a crusade on his ass if he so much as laid a finger on one of the girls to force them into something by his own will.
It's so they drop their guard, let him in, fall for him, so they are more pliable and willing. A willing sex partner is much easier to deal with AND be able to move on to the next girl than a rape victim.
Well, now that you mention it, I do see the connection with the 'black comedy' part about the people in the forums. Intended or not, that's actually pretty funny.well fuck... now I feel like I'm going to have to go deeper into a porn game than I ever really wanted to
aside from horror elements there are black comedy elements to this game and the MC's outlook is one of them to me, as he comes off as the personification of the annoying ass people in the forums that whine about not enough sex scenes and not giving two shits about the story elements of the game and is only going through the "game" to get to the end result of the sex scene. He is a bit more developed than that (reciting poetry about sidewalks and other shit, misquoting famous authors, and a vapid moral nihilist).
part of the comedy to me is that the MC is a moral nihilist stuck in a world that has proven itself to be the representation of metaphysical nihilism made manifest through theGodand complete interconnected system that was described in one of the happy events where everyone is just being controlled by a singular entity. Not many would dig deeper to find the comedy in that but the idea that a moral relativist with the outlook of none of his actions even mattering stuck in a systemgodwhere each of his actions are predetermined is hilarious in a horrifying way... almost makes me think of the movie The Truman Show despite not being the same thing at all
As an admitted pirate, I second this sentiment. He needs the money and this game is worth more than the minimum he's asking for to subscribe. I won't hold it against the leakers, but I am not in favor of that outcome.
It's how I found it on day one and how I started playing it before he earned my support, he's surpassed that at this point, I'm just trying to crunch some numbers and see what I can do to raise it, which can take some time with all the things going on with me IRL.
He's in a process of metamorphosis induced by being around the girls, but at the same time, there is another external influence trying to turn him into even more of an ass if not an outright criminal. We just don't know who or what this outside influence is.
That theory has been thrown around, though I think Kaori was the target instead last time. Who knows what is going on, honestly. I'm getting a better read on the girls than I am on him.
I'm not so sure on her relation, I do think she had some sort of relationship prior to the story, but my best guess is they had a romantic relationship, not a familial one. Furthermore, I believe Noriko to have been the reason for the game's events in the first place. My theory is that she got in the way of old Sensei and Maya in a deadly way, or at least it was supposed to be deadly. He survived and Maya realizes that he isn't the same and acts cold to him for that reason, because it is not the same person. Noriko doesn't, however, which is why her intro plays out like it does. She only realizes that the relationship between Maya and what I now refer to as player Sensei is over. She still thinks the man she tried to kill is there, just with no memory of the relationship she tried to end by force, and as a result, she's trying to take him agressively in a sexual blitzkrieg before he can either regain his memory or reestablish a relationship with someone else on the same level he had before. That's my theory, anyway.

I just started playing, are there no sound effects or voice sounds during h-scenes? All I hear is music. My sound settings aren't muted either.

Not really. Her intro event was almost entirely interactions with Sensei, with her being somewhat rude to the filming crew only after their sudden reunion, which understandably unbalanced her. She even interrupts her rant for a second to inquire whether Ami is alright.
Well, if we write A LOT of theories then by the law of probability one of it must be true
I am really curious now, what are the influences / recommendations for other denpa games ? Cause the only ones I know are DDLC, totono, higurashi and subahibi, and I would like more in this genre.

Yeah, Io's not great either. And Yasu seems to have been assigned white as her text color (based on her introductory appearance) so obviously something will have to be done to accommodate that.

I tried adding outlines to Io, Touka, Yasu, and Yuki's names to improve readability, but I'm not entirely sold on the result:

If I were being overly reductive and was too lazy to explain further, yes, but its more than that. I really adore her for the 'come out of a self-isolation for the sake of love" trope. This is why it will constantly be towing the line between Futaba and Sana for me.
