I'm starting to get the feeling this is less forgetting memories and more repressing them, which is known to happen under extremely traumatic circumstances as memory repression is a natural defense mechanism against such things. That event would count as such a trauma, so it fits as an excellent candidate for repression of memories as do several of the other events seemingly reset. The resets may not be resets at all, but instead the people involved are subconsciously locking the memories of those events away deep in their minds.
I replayed it, thank you for this gift of an event tracker replay system Selebus, and yeah, she gets angry at someone other than him, but doesn't explode until she sees him, you're right.
Keep in mind that an event may not just be stat locked, needing a certain level of stats on that girl, but may need one or more events from other girls or certain stat levels on other girls. The most likely culprit to anyone getting stuck is someone in the side girls category being a requirement, there seems to be a misconception that side girls are optional, they aren't, they are only side girls in that they are not part of the main cast and only a few exceptions exist to all girls being required to some extent in either category, or an event in the 'happy' scenes category not being completed.
This misconception will endure for as long as the game is on this site, I'm afraid. The entire site has a misconception about it being a porn site specifically, which is why we see people in 'no sexual content' tagged threads complaining that the game shouldn't even be here.
Yeah, that's way too black and white. It's more like a full spectrum of porn content amount.
That is, of course, assuming a major overhaul doesn't occur under the hood. I've seen that happen several times in other games and any mod made for the game in those cases broke with those changes, severely. I'm aware not aware of any plans in the 0.16.0 cycle, that's just something to keep in mind. Selebus has made a couple of major changes that ultimately had to result in reduced content additions. Example, the tracker overhaul might be the biggest thing that could have broken your mod in particular due to how it changed things, but since your mod came after, it wasn't an issue.
I honestly think of this game more like the "Game of Thrones" of adult games, not so much porn as mature content, like an R rated movie. There's just not enough focus on the 10% of sex content to call it pornographic and the only reason I can see that makes sense is the common misconception being on this site entails, that all games here are supposed to be pornographic, which is totally untrue and the reason for the no sexual content tag.
Understandable considering it has nothing to do with them except being influenced by the same country that influenced theirs in 1945. I'm also pretty sure ours is one of only a few with a right to silence and not many of those that do have it in their constitution as an amendment or even at all, but instead as a separate law. Japan is one of those few that has this right within their constitution, US influence I'm sure, though not bad influence in this case, but it is not an amendment. For reference it is section 37-3 of the Japanese constitution.
Adult =/= porn. Just because something is adult doesn't make it porn, though the reverse is inherently untrue. Example, Game of Thrones, I would definitely not show that to anyone not considered a legal adult, but it is in no way porn.
Sadly, yes. This is why I carry a copy on me at all times, technically two as I carry one electronic copy and one physical copy for reference in case a constitutional argument arises or one of my rights is threatened.
I mean technically porn has to be inherently designed to be sexually focused to be considered as such, LiL is not inherently designed to be sexually focused.
As much as I hate to admit it, yeah, it was just a porn game to me back before the writing really got to me as well. Then I saw how good it really is and how much of a focus the game itself has over the sexual elements.
Same, I could even chip in myself. I could get some actual art out in a few months after I bring my drawing skills back up after years of no use and I could get some Koikatsu renders out fairly quickly if they're simple enough. I've already hinted at it, this was a long time ago back when I was a brand new patron and the character assets were available as a subscriber perk, but I have an active project involving two of the girls who were involved in some fairly major events, one of which, not too long ago, got her cherry popped. I did start this project, but after the issue that caused the revocation of the character card subscriber perk, I was and still am a bit wary of going too far and resolved not to release it. I don't want to do anything Selebus doesn't want us to, so I won't release it if I can't be certain he's okay with it. It just wouldn't be right and it would make me feel terrible just on the chance of doing something against his wishes.
Nah, that's an issue in other games because the developers don't pace themselves and either burn out or get sloppy in order to rush the content. Selebus paces himself specifically to avoid burning out and doesn't rush any character added to the game. Also, if you think it's too much now, there are still two main girls to be added plus a whole bunch of empty side girl slots still left blank. This is a Denpa game, a genre known for negative endings, so don't get your hopes up for even a glimmer of optimism. Think of "Doki Doki Literature Club" as an example. As far as redundancies, I do't see any. The only thing I see is some characters aren't as developed, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Another issue some developers have with games with a large cast is that they spread the focus over too many at once and don't focus on a few at a time to develop the story of the few in each update. Selebus does the opposite, focusing on a few and developing the story of the few in each update, which produces an amazing result. That's part of why the game is so good as it is now.
