To add to this before rework there were many other "choices" which either become rewritten completely (Ayane infamous 'chu' event at first had the options of saying "you are the first to see it" or "Ami saw it as well"), the one event that was not rewritten, but which had their choice made for the player after rework is Sana event.

There was event before rework where to the question "Where would you rather be or to where would you go?" from Sana there were two answers. The second answer was "To the edge of the world" or something akin to that. That option become 'canon' one so to speak. There are many other examples where options before rework were either rewriten or chosen for you after rework. So any person who still have naive idea that they choices matter are huffing some US army arsenal amount of copium. There are right choices that you must make, if you make any other "choice" different from the one that Sel had in mind, then congratulations, you have reached a failstate

Well, either we get a linear game like we get now, together with high frequent updates, or you get a branching monstrosity, with each update taking longer as the one before. So i dont even get it why anyone is suprised the choices barely matter and at best lead to missed events or some additional dialogue here and there.

What if a non-100% playthrough lands on a satisfying ending, and then the missing scene hits you with another "Akira still never actually left his room"?

What exactly is the point of having lesbians in game that's about having sex wit cute girls ? You will never have anything sexual with them right now it is just slog to get trough the high amount of lesbian angst this game have just to get scenes with girls that are actually sexually interested in you.

If you're playing this game for the sex then you're playing the wrong game buddy, and if lesbians existing upsets you then Akira really isn't your guy, cause he's down with it and he isn't your self-insert so that's another point in you playing the wrong game.

I feel like that'd be the 'twist' Selly would give the folks who don't play the exact way he intends.

Oh i am sorry i didn't relize that playing porn game for sex is wrong way to do it :) . By the way lesbian existing doesn't upset me don't try to put words into my mouth because you have zero argument. I would totaly play lesbian harem game or even non harem one where you play as female character.
