I wondered what that drm thing was. Is it still being uploaded on the site and should you be using the disable drm patch? And yeah, I found that Chika thing. Think that's part of the reason why I said he was talking badly about the mods. Honestly this whole thing just sounds like massive greed alert. I mean that's obvious, he got most of the success from here after all. Not sure what else to say about the situation but it is what it is.

I have been worried about this all the time, I want to make sure there is always a true save to fall back to, but I have no idea if Ayane's easter egg flags are a trap or meant to be achieved. I don't know if Selebus is trying to create pre-update flags that can detect if you checked a box before implementing something new and punish you for using DRM or tinkering with the game's files directly. This would in theory, have been Sensei-Quest's job, but I find it much easier to fix this than having seen an easter egg.
this is going to taunt me forever but I do not regret my decision. she fully and truly did not want what she asked. I don't think I'll ever go back even if I keep the save. fuck whatever potential "true" "green" ending. I'm not putting her through that. how could I go back when she was shocked by having it be turned down. this game has been getting me trapped in my own head but being faced with that choice shook me free... partly. I can't stop thinking about it but that's probably the point. It made a statement, loud and clear. and that event will stick with me for a long ass time probably.
From what little I've seen, none of the hidden Himawari events set any flags. At least not as it is now.

Which events have the ayane Easter eggs, and what are their requirements? Been following game for a year and a half now, and this is the update that pushed me towards the green path.
When it isn't heavy handed, I enjoy how the various narrators can be interpreted as referring to the reader as well as the characters. I think that in this update's Imani vouyer scene most of the narration is targeted towards the reader as much as Tsukasa. Sel's ability to obfuscate the intent of the author is a huge chunk of the appeal of this game, especially in recent updates where he's seemingly shown some of that intent, or maybe what little narrative security we've been given is just fuel for further confusion.

This part confuses me too. I have to intentionally dance around her words and arrive to a very stretched conclusion that this green scarf was maybe something Maya already owned before she met Akira. From the looks of it, it was Akira that gifted the scarf a special meaning (or a new meaning?) after they met and fell in love, but since the item had a history that went earlier than tutor time, all memories related to the scarf got purged. I personally don't like to interpret things like this, feeling like overexploiting words.
Or, maybe the importance of the scarf to Maya has been erased from everyone's mind due to reason unknown and by entity unknown, and that's an additional ruling on top of New Maya only remembering the time after she met Akira (at first I thought as least Sensei remembered, hence asking Ayane the scarf question right after reset7. But upon revisiting that event and judging from the lack of reaction, I have to agree with you that Sensei also didn't remember)
Edit: though my take on the "nostalgic scent" is different. I thought it simply means that Ayane, Himawari's mom, was wearing it just seconds ago and that was the sole reason why Himawari had a fleeting thought of keeping the scarf for herself.

Exactly, not as it is now.
All it takes is for the game to be coded in such a way that getting into ayane's Easter egg is considered a "chain" without triggering any actual flags and you have a completely different reality in your hands.

You only need the DRM patch if you want to load care packages that you have not paid for into the game, and we'd recommend against doing this anyway cause you'd need to reapply it every update, and nothing's stopping Sel from adding a new piece of DRM to do the same thing. Safest way is to download the care packages and read the scripts in notepad or something, and then look at the images.
Though I think before the end of this game I'll probably buy the care packages legit. My save is kind of becoming a 100% Run and those would be a part of it (though if I put them in now I'd break compatibility if I wanted to share it)
I'd agree. When I was trying to get you to start the game I only argued against jumpscares in the style of the old precision mouse game where you'd put your mouse through a thin corridor and then the exorcist appears and screams at you. There's none of that, but the static blips can absolutely startle you I guess. Those kinds of things are just white noise to me.
AKAIK that list is correct. It's just harder to arrange since most people ask about all events Himawari appears which is both more than that list, but also she doesn't appear in Miserably Ever After
What do you consider a true save? Does the presence of the guide mod screw it up (since once you start using guide mod you can't stop)
I can share some variant of Ayane love grinding at the point where it becomes important whether we have it or not. Right now it's just speculation, and I feel like acting too early can poison the results.
As a programmer, he already has what he needs to do this. He's already used the technique several times in the game.

All he'd have to do is use the same technique he's already using to show you this event. I don't think the first two 'events' had anything important but he could check for 2000 love before the 3000 if there was something important. Considering the lack of important dialogue in the himawari ramen event, he could just treat it as people watched it the first time and let it fly over people's heads if they didn't. As for this latest event, he can check for both >= 3000 Ayane love AND Mayablock = false. And there's nothing stopping him from hiding that check in the next update to the game in some random file as soon as 0.47 starts and then he doesn't need to maintain Mayablock. Though considering the plot, it's unlikely for Mayablock to be naturally removed any time soon so he could just let it ride (or just set it before naturally unsetting it, it'd be a smoking gun but we're already looking for them anyway)

OR PERHAPS Selebus didn't change the dorm text because the mayablock was supposed to stay active, and only deactivated as an easter egg for URM users or code scavengers? Who fucking knows.

Like Niki once said kids fucking suck! I couldn't start the update until now since i had to babysit my own "coven of wizards"
