Unfortunately for everyone, you have reminded me that at some point in the recent past I was messing around with "AI" voice generation after I found a Neco-Arc voice model that was somehow simultaneously both completely terrible and somewhat good at singing. And I made some covers of various songs with it, including the Good Kid songs used in Lil. Now that I have been reminded of them, I feel like subjecting others to these perplexing travesties of imitative vocal modulation.

While they are certainly "AI" slop, in the event that someone else might have the same amusement I had in questioning how Neco-Arc can sing so badly but also sound kind of good at the same time. (It must be because I'm used to metal vocalists). You might as well attempt to listen to these. Key word attempt:

Something that I was gonna get around to like months later was trying to see if I can extract the 'niki' vocals since we have a instrumental to shining star, and then start doing this to other songs.

Yep, for the rest of this month he's making fanfest crap, then all of april he'll be making dorm wars crap, then he's taking a month off, then all of june he will be making a proper update which we will finally get at the start of july...

I will say, that IIRC from the roadmap for 0.49, that the Dorm Wars themselves only have to make up a little over half the update. The rest are character events, which may or may not be directly tied to the Dorm Wars. So there's hope that this will be a half-update with a Dorm War backdrop.

That said, I actually enjoy the dorm war silliness, so I'm good either way.

Based on that last Yumi event Pareidolia or whoever Yumi's talking to is wanting her to make a wish, there might be a desire from the gods to have the 'mortals' make wishes for some reason. Whether it's to dry the well or fill it back up is to be decided.

I'm mostly with you on this, but the last one sucked because it just felt really played out. Jokes didn't land, no real good lore implications, music was distracting (regardless of if you enjoyed the music or not, having English singing while reading English words that don't match makes my brain hurt).

The other dorm wars I did enjoy, though.
