Ami's last event before the update is an autoplay after Kaori's last event, and the newest Ami event is during the halloween event.
It's probably something else look in the progress screen.

If it is Himawari is behind the murder an not The Old One, then it's logical to assume that she was avenging Ayane. Last time we saw Himawari, she helped Ayane, which was hinted to be deliberately lead into a deep woods by Ami when she was in her cruel-jealous-bitch mode (Same mode she was with Maya this update and with Noriko before). The murdered Ami was presumably replaced by another one from the row, which already was present when Maya returned to Karaoke booth, but was passive and ignored.

If we assume that no exclusive event can be triggered (which is reasonable, given that sel has said and reaffirmed that it will be possible to have a single PT that hits all events), that means that none of the other choices can trigger an event. And I'm pretty sure that that means that none of them will trigger a sex scene, because:

1. Sex scenes are replayable in the gallery as events with "neutral" variables, which means that a conditional H-scene hidden inside a mandatory event is not easily worked into his current system,
and
2. Sel likes punishing people who play LiL for the porn value, so blueballing everyone who requested an unrealistic 3some would be entirely on-brand. This idea is supported by the current update, where Yumi reacts to a 3some suggestion exactly like you would expect her to and we will likely see more of the same from the others. For example, we'll probably see Rin say something like "lol no way, a 3some with my former crush would destroy my relationship with Otoha" (which is exactly what you'd expect her to say).

My guess is the Chinami option will come back in the form of some abusive dialogue forks but not anything substantial.

I'm not expecting any sex scenes, just wondering how the idea gets wrapped up. Logically after getting rejected by Yumi or the others Chika should move on to some backup choice. But I feel like extra dialogue for a "chika searches for new threesome partner" subplot to future Chika scenes is a bit unnecessary if Sel doesn't plan to pay it off anyways. My guess is that sometime after Rin and Tsubasa get their bonus dialogue, one of Chika's life-destroying catastrophes goes off and renders the threesome idea moot.

Also I figure Rin will have more interesting dialogue than "lol no"; there's no way she can retain composure at the idea of a threesome with two of her crushes. I have no idea how Tsubasa will play out, other than she probably won't want to have sex with her sorta daughter figure.

Yes, and it's maybe a third done. Maybe less. It's already the longest VN ever made, by a pretty substantial margin. The dev really likes to brag how it's like 3 times longer than the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy or some shit.
Just because it's long, doesn't mean it's all good. I find about 10% of this game to be pure trash. 30% is mediocre and often boring. 50% is genuinely interesting and very fun to play. And 10% is an absolute masterpiece.
If you're considering playing this game, you should be aware the bulk of that boring 30% is in the first chunk of the game. Also, the guide-mod is required. Also also, be warned, the protagonist is a piece of shit. He gradually gets better as the story goes on, but don't expect him to ever be a good person.
