*Apologies for the double posts* But the last couple of Are You Happy Here posts have alluded to this update and this is the fourth time we have seen the pool area. It appears in Mother's Milk, briefly in Ad Meloria, most recently in Sonny Boy and it finally appears in a Are You Happy Here post.

I don't know if I see that Ami/Sekai event the same as all of you do.

I saw it as Ami has some degree of control over how to manipulate these parallel universes, and a shared consciousness to some degree between them all. She managed to somehow bring Sensei into the one where he was her legitimate father.. well now that I'm writing it out, maybe he's always been her legitimate father (if Sekai keeps the baby no matter what when Akira doesn't run off to Kyoto with her)?

I do still believe she's capable of manipulating timelines somehow. But now I'm more confused. I feel like there's going to be some sort of meta-game going on like DDLC where Monika was aware you were in a game (which I think the last reset puzzle was intended to get across)

Basically I've just written this out to further confuse myself. Oops.

Double posting like I'm Dc345, how embarrassing.

But the meta-game thing also would make sense with the ARG going on as well. We've been told so many times that this is all just a game, after all. And we were introduced to the God of Save States. I feel like the point of the last puzzle was to just further drive home the fact that it IS a game, we need to go INTO the game files to discern these answers (literally no other way to solve them, to my knowledge).

Whether or not this is enjoyable for the player is a different conversation, but when I think of it like that, I'm much less bothered by the reset puzzles.

Pool reset event skip:

Open chap4.rpy

search for

Code: 
    menu poolmenu:
        "Refreshments" if fourthsquid == False:
            jump poolrefreshments
Replace it with:

        "Refreshments" if fourthsquid == False:
            jump endofwaitingroom
WARNING:
This is a very crude way to do this, should the dev call for any of this segments variables to be necessary to proceed future code changes will be needed.

I am pretty sure the football thing is just a random perk for this false Akira, Selebus doesn't care about football, he is busy all day playing this new ZZZ game and watching BASEBALL, which is probably even lamer

Don't open the new happy event for now, I will give you a save file in the future if needed.

fuuuck I i think i deleted my game folder. I thought it was an old version but i guess not because i cant find it. its not in my recycle bin either. This sucks i was hyped to play 44 and 45 today i have a back up save but its old:HideThePain:

Huh, you know I hadn't thought of the replay angle since I have never started completely fresh. Given all the talk this update about who can or can't control resets, having a "True green path" require a 'reset' that we control/trigger to see all events would have interesting implications given the number of 4th wall breaks and references to this being a 'game'. Would start to trend more towards the Doki Doki side of things like messing with the game files to progress.

Can someone remind me of the significance of the white cat appearing in some scenes?
Iirc the leading theory was that it might indicate Himawari being present, or at least someone shapeshifting into another person, i.e. a person not being themselves, no?

I'm asking since it appeared during the Ami-Maya rape recording scene, but I don't see a connection to other scenes that the white cat showed up in. It really doesn't seem like Himawari was involved. Unless it was never Himawari in the first place but actually Prime Ami who possibly shapeshifted or at least influenced characters.
I feel like that cat will become significant in the future, as a "Ha! See, I already planned this way back when, there were hints!" by Selebus.

So I'm doing what I always do, where I refuse to accept things at face value because we were told early on that nothing is as it appears and because of that I trust literally nothing...

1) Was that an alive Sekai, or was did Ami somehow figure out a way to create one so that she could have her happy ending?
2) Likewise, is that Ami actually Akira's daughter, or did Ami and Sekai simply tell that Akira a beautiful lie?

These questions may not be relevant in the short term, but if that version of Ami could create a dead woman out of nothing, then OUR Ami might potentially do the same in the future if she figures out how.

So, all events are accounted for. However, "new profile outfits" is plural, I have only found one:

That being said, for the final mystery:
Who are the new friends? Because the happy event counts as a main event, and the outfits count towards outfits - what are the new friends then?

Might just be Selly being cheeky and calling Makoto and Yumi "new friends". Or new gods, like HOPE being back or that absolutely annoying clown god Giuseppe. I wouldn't put it past him to throw in red herrings in the announcements or to just be purposefully vague in general.
