And Wakana overdosing on something to hide her own pain... Well, at least she's not dead... I hope. And now I got annoyed at myself because I had a very slight chuckle, great. This isn't funny.
I only got through two events this morning, got to sleep and work ya know that crappy adult stuff. Moonie might have mentioned this before but if you read that first one with Ami as she knows what's going on then it's kinda frightening. I started thinking during it, what if she killed sensei or somehow broke him right before this loop. Scary girl.

It's just green path you'd have to worry about, there are some good things too like not fucking Chika too early so Rin can confess. Don't tell someone to their face that you'd kill them rather than fuck or marry them.
I'm honestly terrified that another choice we made earlier in the game or the order we played certain events will lock us out of the green path later. The good homie/bad homie thing was ridiculous, you have to leave schadenfreude sitting there for quite a while to stay green. I really hope that doesn't happen again.
When I was untangling my ridiculous save file I wanted to see how far I could strain that choice. I believe you actually can see Schadenfreude before Rin asks you to not go too far with Chika (and I think there's some in-scene dialogue if you have too). Game is straight up unfair at times.
It does help that there aren't that many choices you can make in the game that have flags that are remembered but haven't been acted on. Right now the only thing that comes to mind is the stick in Sensei Quest and with the context of that being something someone would have to spend hours / days grinding for, probably won't be too important. Maybe a Himawari scene since she's the one who sells it to you (but I'm in the process of playing the game to find if there's anything else)
I dunno, these days she might hit the threshold of being unfunny enough to be funny again. There's a guy on Youtube whose whole bit is he talks in a monotone / sarcastic voice and often makes mistakes while copying popular recipes. People love him.
Now that I saw you get the first lewd Niki event, I'm gonna give you a spoiler you'll run into soon that you'll want to hear. You're about to get the Niki invite events, In the second event (so the lewd one) there will be a point where they mention jumpscares being lazy writing. Sel makes the obvious joke on the next click and I think it's the same noise.
Yeah I posted yesterday that I caved. I installed the auto mod, was checking out the menu images, then checked out the jukebox. Funnily enough, its the first time I have even done that. Seeing Rin and listening to some of the music did me in.

The Chika thing is so counter intuitive, anyone trying to get all events in a first playthrough would assume the goal is to sleep with everyone to do so and therefore be a bad homie to Rin. I don't think anyone would assume you have to wait until Rin gets rejected. Some people might say that's clever game design, that the game is a subversion of the genre so you should expect this sort of thing, I just find it annoying.

The update with Schadenfruede released before the beach event, so everyone was literally punished for finishing all available content before the next release.
Going back to Himawari wanting to keep alt Maya Prime's scarf, there is an old evidence of why she'd want it (instead of just because it had Ayane's smell). Here it is:
I agree in the sense of how Akira perceives it. But it was really hard for me, the reader, to not interpret it as a simple bribe done in order to get her letter/gift/whatever that was to Niki. Thus, it would make Otoha the opposite of what you're saying, she'd simply be manipulating Akira to try to get to Niki, again. Maybe even including him in a threesome idea, since she can't get Niki by herself.
I think it would suit the story for Otoha to become close friends with Akira given that she has burned all bridges and only Nodoka remains as a friend to her. I just don't know that we are there yet in terms of genuine feelings, I hope so though. Just withholding judgement for now.
It's understandable to a certain extent. Otoha has lost much of everyone's trust, and has to earn it back with future development so that it wouldn't be this easy to assume that the worst of her is still behind the wheel at every turn. Like, I highly doubt Otoha would still bring him any gift IF she already had her closure with Niki so yes, the original post really is more from Sensei's perspective like you said.
Still, I wouldn't go that far and assume all of this is an alleged bribe (with a pocketknife, no less) for a threesome that may or may not happen. The effectiveness of such a random strategy and the lack of eagerness to steer it into the intended direction simply couldn't match a near impossible goal she tries to achieve. Now, it doesn't mean she no longer wants something with Niki to happen, as I think a good chunk of her is still hanging onto a tinge of hope that she will get lucky at some point. And to be fair Otoha has made it quite difficult to defend her for not having the slightest idea of hoping to nudge things into a fantasized path with this gifting gesture. The only two very biased reasons why I am giving her some credits this time are because it's my Otoha effect speaking, and the fact that I genuinely want her to try and be a better person. I would certainly hope she doesn't trash my puny credits too quickly...
If she actually achieves a threesome with a pocketknife, then...maybe I should get some sharp items too...for future development...
I never hated her as well. She needs plenty of discipline and I get mad at her every now and then, but the hate this stupid highschooler girl receives here feels disproportionate at times.

Also reading more peoples comments it just hit me in the face, this has been the first time I've actually played a VN type game and completely separated myself from the MC. Usually I'd either go full on or if they were a bit morally questionable and/or a bit more typical of the average Hentai VN MC I would only partially immerse myself into the roll. This time as I've played I've not seen my self in Sensei's shoes since maybe after the first happy event, but me as a different character going though the game as my mind wonders and thinks about the story and decisions that have come up after the fact. Huh, neat.
Edit - Also for how long the game takes my computer to open, 28 seconds. Have a 1660Ti
Also how did I not realize there's a jukebox to listen to the music until Yarazin and hopeisdead6969 mentioned it lol
Everything is temporary. Nothing made her lose the position but time. I realize she is just generally a boring character and the only thing tying her to a high position is these cute moments. I likely overreacted in the first place. Also like Tsuneyo and some others, she is a lot more chill and chill characters tend to be more boring overall. She just have to show up again but but given the dev chose to put all her events at the first half of the reset, well, it is what it is.
Furthermore, a bit before that beach trip we have shadow Maya making her sole appearance and something that follows Akira, and that still hasn't been explained.
I might have posted this before, I don't remember. To me the big eye shadow Maya and this sunflower in "The Collector"(chapter 4 main) look like they have the same eye, very similar to me anyway. It could mean big eye shadow Maya has something to do with Pareidolia based on the second image included below. Because the sunflower clearly seems to.
I got tired of having an incomplete jukebox in the game after all this time, so I went ahead and updated it myself. It has basically every major song in the game now as of 0.42, so if you want it for your own game, replace the 'jukebox.rpy' file in your game folder with the one in the attachment.
I triple checked it to make sure there wouldn't be any issues, and it works great.
Installation: Right click the attachment, and ‘Save link as’. Send the rpy file where you can find it. From there, replace the old jukebox.rpy file in your game folder with the new one. You will now have an updated jukebox!
