Good morning thread... thanks, Cheese, for the update... nice to wake up and not have to wait although i'll be honest, i'm not feeling any excitement for this one... my enthusiasm for this game has run pretty thin this year... anyone played it yet? Is it any good?
I am personally on the side of stop with the "yearly events" and just, you know, actually develop further into the story. At first it was interesting but now it's just a way to fill space and segue into other scenarios that could have been explored in other more complete and/or natural ways, instead of a 5 lines interaction between two characters in the middle of a competition that ultimately adds nothing to the story other than a funny (if even) event.

That being said, I think it was good overall, just wish it had more. Also, I fucking love Nodoka. She is quite the bitch, but I fucking love that bitch.

Edit: maybe "good" is too much for this update actually, more like just fine. I guess it wouldn't have felt as bad if it didn't release 2 months after the last update.

Okay, the animations were a thing.
Is it just me, or Chinami felt artificial?

Ohh, he has THAT face in Yumi's scene. Also, is it just me or does the fridge blink at the end of each loop?
Wait, does Niki know Rika? Also, I know this scene is what it is, but lol at Yumi losing her mental faculties for those two lines before the end.

Nodoka is still bad, lmao. I'm completely blind to all justifications that Nodoka is doing this bullshit for some kind of justice, salvation, etc. This is some gray moral kind of shit marvel/dc characters. They're edgy and annoying as fuck
To be fair, there are alleged Gods possesing and manipulating people into doing shit they probably wouldn't have done otherwise and she has seen her own share of shit at this point. I mean Yasu also speaks of salvation and she literally does that while also saying Sensei needs to cum inside the girls to achieve said salvation.

From the beginning it has been made very clear that sex is a main point of interest to the Gods or whatever the fuck, so her doing something in relation to that to try and get some sort of result is actually a logical thing to do -while it is also clear she is getting some personal gain from it, not entirely selfless or out of a sense of justice, it's still a logical thing to do in the confines of this world.
But I am also one of "the end result is what matters", so if someone gets hurt during the process or if she has some fun in between, then fuck it, so be it. Maybe I'm just also "bad" or a shitty person or just biased because I like her character, who knows.

So I know everyone's all about the new update at the moment, but how was the fanfest content? Is it worth checking out? I skipped all of it.

Put me on the 'the fanfest was a total fucking waste of time' end of the spectrum. That being said, the only parts of it i feel have any value whatsoever are the 'what if?' story and the Miku/Sana animation. Everything else was just junk. Even then, they're discardable and the ending to the 'what if?' was nonsensical garbage.

Personally, that was completely unnecessary and not worth skipping an entire update over it. Unless you want some non-canon material or want to listen to some music with the idea that Uta (or Chika?) is an idol, then sure, check it out. Otherwise, you are not missing anything of value. You can use the search bar and look it up here, people shared most if not all of it.

Now that I think about it, both fandoms aren't very shy when it comes to their love of underage characters and incest.
I was 13 when I was shipping myself with Luan:ROFLMAO: . Until April 1st episodes. What the curse of Nodokathon it is. Anyway, she is still one of my favourite characters from Loud House.
But I still remember LincolnХLuan was a huge thing for some reason. Maybe because of that one comic, which name i don't remember.

He actually needs them. They provide checkpoints to force a bunch of development to happen and then a bunch of time to pass which allows a new lot of content to happen. If it was limited to every event happens between every reset, you'll end up with either nonsensical event progression like CH4's Noriko giving Akira hope, then Osako making Akira more depressed mentioning the girl who cannot breathe. Or you get event trees so convoluted we'd keep having people asking for help because the Osako event is buried 13 events deep in branching pathways all pinned up by not calling Makoto in the afternoon.

You might as well check it out, you have a month of nothing to do.

*sigh* Just when Nodoka was starting to get on my good side with the whole "Let's talk about birds" thing(and because Tsubasa is my new No. 1 hated character)

Btw, how do you access the Ren'Py console?

Yeah, I get that part and I can agree, I guess my point is more about doing something else rather than recycling the same yearly chain events. At this point we already expect them to happen and expect or hope that something interesting will happen in between, but most of it is very much pointless because they add nothing of value. I wont event pretend I have the answer to this and Sel is by far a much better writer than I am, I'm just saying it is reaching a point where -at least for me- it starts to feel repetitive.

The name of the comic was "Not Your Fault." But the comic is probably the tamest thing to come from that fandom. Since you know people have gone out of their way to draw fan art of Lincoln and his youngest sister (an infant) having "relations" or Lincoln crucifying one of his sister with the added help of other cartoon characters.
