Sheesh. This Nadokathon shit is such terrible writing I genuinely can't believe it was done again. Garbage brings down the story so much. It somehow made me less interested in every character present. Again. Sana especially is completely stupid and ridiculously written.

It does feel dumb how easily they all accept the incest.
I get there's meant to be a bunch of mind altering bs but that was way too fucking easy for the bombshell that Akira's been boning his daughter for fuck knows how long. Could give benefit to Ayane given she got that note with the list of everyone he's slept with but she's also the only one who took issue with it.

This update definitely brought Molly, Sana, and Nodoka down a few pegs, which is saying something cause I fucking hate one of these already.

Sana is probably the biggest one here however, she knows how much that will hurt Sara especially given her background but she's apparently just pure nympho no morals now, apparently dick has the power to remove people's empathy which is a trait she always had in abundance from the start. "Oh we can share your boyfriend in a big family". Yeah ok Sana I'm just fucking sure.

Not to mention that she KNEW what would happen, given she invited Sara to begin with.

And all this because Nodoka is stupid enough to think she cracked the code that others have been stuck in for potentially thousands of years, that not even her mother could understand.

Speaking of which, I'm starting to find it really fucking annoying how people are ignoring Ami's incredibly blatant knowledge of the resets, its so bloody obvious and they all think nothing of it, but let me guess that Nodoka will be the one to figure that out after the bench scene because apparently everyone else is mentally stunted.

It's a really good thing that everything outside of the Nodokathon was pretty damn good (IMO) cause this update would have been a total doozy otherwise.

IO+, Ayane+, Yumi+, Chika+ (her interactions with Rin are adorable), Noriko even gets a + from me for looking after Yumi.
Sana, Nodoka, and Molly all get a fat - from me though.
Kirin and Miku no change cause they're kinda just... "there" for it all.
Not giving points to Rin either cause honestly I'd prefer if she sacked off Akira and just dated Chika already, they'd be way better for eachother than Akira ever could be.

Bonus animations are also pretty shit, I'm not gonna go off on a tangent about animation quality again cause half of you already know how I feel on that one. Akira's face in the Yumi scene is pretty nasty though, not helped by the super zoomed in camera for a shitty stock animation where you can't see really see any of the actual fun.
Chinami's was eh too.

I disliked the original Nodokathon but this one was a thousand times worse. And no, not because of what happened to Sara, but because of how it happened. Nobody's actions make any fucking sense. Not to mention having to deal with more "Nodoka is a genius, just trust me bro" bullshit. Maybe I'll post a longer rant at some point but I'm not sure it even deserves the effort.

I genuinely felt like this whole event was a joke at first, the first Nodokathon was already not very believable but Sel somehow made it infinitely worse. I think that somehow the worst offender of "completely out of character" for this event is Akira, because as (I think) Moonflare said it, he's being so idiotic and ignorant that it feels comical. I could leave the benefit of the doubt to Nodoka because "she's a genius" even though it feels less and less convincing each passing version, and Sana because there might be God(s) stuff involved with her. regardless, this still feels absolutely awful to read and not because of the Sara stuff as you said.

Yeah, this whole nodokathon would really have been a better example why i feel sometimes that there are two different people writing the story. Just this update we have that Io event and then this shit... the quality of the writting really was a rollercoaster this update and not in the fun way.

The other day people here were talking about what will happen to this thread after LiL ends, now I'm not even sure I'll still be here when it does if things keep going like this. Could be intentional, perhaps Sel plans to set us all free by lowering the quality of the writing until we all lose interest?

command i did notice in the code. So far it just seems like it is been used to play different music. But knowing him, i can already see him hide some stuff in replays. And that might be one line too much for me if he would actually do this tbh.

He doesn't hide things in replays, he hides things from replays... he has many times cut scenes up so breadcrumbs and reveals and bonus stuff like Himawari appearances don't show up again when you replay the scene... it's a dick move that pisses many people off and doesn't seem to serve any purpose but trolling but so far i haven't seen a single example of him hiding something in a replay. Even the Alexisthymia event requires you to not be in a replay or it won't work.

I liked this update, Yasu being cute, Cute Ayame moments, and the contests were a bit fun to watch. Loved the goth looks for Ayane and Nodoka, the looks for Uta and Makoto and some love for them.

Most people seem to be, i'm just kinda bored of it, there were a few decent moments and i think the folks giving Nodoka so much hate don't really understand her perspective but i don't really care enough to get into arguments about it so... meh... this was a pretty mid update.

I thought there would be more of a reaction from the girls to Sana telling and then showing her mom she's fucking Akira, especially Ami and Ayane. All they seem to be upset about is Sara's feelings and not the potential implications for Akira.

She openly says in the patch that she doesn't wish harm on anyone and that's what I've always said. And the first day she was incredibly sweet.

To be honest, i hated nodoka when she abused yumi and when she disregarded the Futaba's feelings. It was well established that when there is she can do, she will do it. Just to see what happens next.

After those two moments though, i didn't hate her, i was just disappointed with her, Akira, the story etc.

By the way, just before nodokathon, Nodoka doesn't remember asking Akira to hug her. So something fishy going around.

I think it's mostly the difference between players who are invested in the narrative at face value vs those who consider the existential horror and philosophy of the narrative. Nodoka hurt/s people they like, therefore Nodoka bad vs Nodoka has discovered they're all trapped in a spiritual prison for possibly millions of years, she thinks she's alone so she takes it upon herself to do what she can to free everyone from the prison, but in order to do so she needs to figure out how it works, all the while knowing any attempt she makes to break them out is going to hurt them and runs the risk of her failing and getting reset herself... i fall towards her, if i were in her shoes i'd be fighting just as hard to break the prison and free everyone, even if they all hated me for it...

Edit: to add a little footnote, i actually felt her pain at the end, the defeat, that event should've pissed the gods off enough to act, the fallout cannot be within their desired parameters can it? Surely not, incest with Ami revealed, Sara crushed, Haruka outed, Akira outed even further... and yet they didn't act... why? Nodoka did more than enough to warrant a response... but nothing...

Agreed, although it does seem to be an open secret now among almost the full cast that Akira is having sex with most of the girls he is around And was even mentioned early in this release. I don't see how this can really continue without major consequences, especially since we are maybe at the halfway point of the game?

Are we going to get a reset of everyone's memories, where they go back to being oblivious that Akira is screwing the majority of the class plus any other women tangently related to them? Or maybe just some? It seems to big to just handwave away, especially with Rika's actions recently. Then again Osako kinda just did that early in this release. I'm interested and worried how this plays out.

I get that she's just pushing against the prison she finds herself in but holy fuck does she seriously think this shit will work.
Even aside from Nodokathon 2 look at what she did to Yumi and Futaba, who need I remind you actively told her not to do that.

She's just a self serving bitch, its as simple as that.
And the worst part is she fucking knows it, she admitted that she hurt Yumi for her own self interests.

They're all pawns to be played with for her, why do you think she calls Akira "Aki-kun" despite knowing that it outright harms him, she just gets off on lording shit over the others cause she's smarter.
