Karin's events in chapter 4 are all amazing. I didn't even care about her in my first playthrough and skipped all her scenes.
But now she is one of the few characters in chapter 4 that i actually care about what happens to them as a character and not just their place in the main story. Because her events have something most of the cast and main story lacks, more recognizable in chapter 4:

Focus.

Beginning of chapter 4 was bleak after what happened in chapter 3. And i am okay with the overall tone.
But when you have so many characters, and you try to spread their story in updates without an overall structure where their story is going or why, AFTER END OF CHAPTER 3 i can not enjoy and care about the characters and the main story.

It is similar to playing a video game with epic quest chain which ends in a cliffhanger. Than your boring average side quest grind begins so you need to level up for next main quest.

It is what i feel with chapter 4. Characters feel like comic relief in a episodic sitcom. They show up, make their remark about how horny or dumb they are, then leave. It would work in chapter 1,2,3 but not in 4. Sure there was a depression arc but it supposed to be end after 7th reset.

I think when people say that they just mean successfully. Personally I'm expecting her to try and fail in some way

Been thinking about this. Trends say there's going to be a reset this Halloween, but I remember talk about Chapter 4 being the longest one. Is that going to just be put to the side and Chapter 5 is just a regular chapter, or is Chapter 4 going to be more than 2 resets long.

I think there's a difference between a reaction with lasting consequences and a reaction that is self-contained. My guess is that we're heading for the second one.

Regardless, I think Sara will be less affected by what happened in the green path (in terms of extreme bluejays) than what some people might believe.

In other news, I'm currently playing Lost in You. A very shameless copycat. Turns out some of the things in that game triggered some uhhh "minor trauma" from LIL? Yeah. Turns out playing non stop for 3 months is great for remembering sad and disturbing events. Especially deaths...

Since there won't be a new update for a while, I decided to leave a comment and participate in the thread to make the wait more enjoyable. Also, your discussions about the lore and the theories you've shared have helped me better understand the story and characters of this game.
I apologize in advance if one or more parts of this message aren't entirely clear. English isn't my first language, and while I can read and understand everything you say perfectly, expressing myself in it isn't that easy for me. You should avoid 0.49 until the next update at least (1 and a half months away). This update was some of the harshest trauma to hit the most innocent of cinnamon rolls, on green path at least. And if the darkest theory comes true, you'll probably want to wait even longer, even if the rest of 0.50 has got me kinda hyped if my reads are correct.

The 0.48 Yumi and Uta chains were sweet, even if it still had suffering in Yumi's case. Io gets a solid win in 0.49. Ayane lovers ate well in 0.49, and you'd probably have someone joining Ami in the tier list thanks to this update. TBD in 0.50.

I know selebus said game will not be end with it all just a dream. BUt is it possible that second half of chapter 4 is a dream/simulation? It certainly explains why Akira can be aware what other girls doing without being there. And certainly explains Nodokathon type of shit.

To me that promise has only meant that the ending of LiL doesn't retcon the story of LiL to have never happened. If the setting itself is a dream / simulation that gives reason to why some people can break it.

There's also a LOT more 4th wall breaking moments from before CH4. Everyone was getting angry at Akira panning the camera away with his hand, but there's been a bunch of times where he's intentionally sharing and sometimes hiding the memories with the viewer, alongside other moments like speaking the Affection Increased dialogues at the end of events.
