Regarding previews, it seems clear that Sara's past is being revealed. My question is towards how that is triggered without the events from nodokathon. Is Sana going to reveal it to her anyway? Cause otherwise, why would she have that look in her eyes?

I'm already assuming at least one of those events will be missable, but it is hardly feasible for her revelations to be missable as well. What a conundrum.

My guess is that in red path, Sana did or said something which resulted in that. So at least for the purposes of the scene, the dialogue may change, but the event would still happen.

I wrote up a long post on the Sara situation yesterday, but decided to wait a day to post so I could improve some of the wording. Awkward timing with the previews!

The rest of this is a general response to some of the Sara discussion that happened last month while I was too busy to post. I think it's mostly consistent with the previews so I'm leaving it as is.

I really can't see any logical way to get to a point where things blow over and Sara accepts the new status quo, barring significant supernatural intervention. Sara might have been able to reluctantly accept the idea of Sensei and Sana sleeping together*, but she learned a lot worse than that during Nodokathon.

I also saw people suggest that Sara will attempt suicide. I think this is even less likely; the idea that Sara would kill herself (especially when it entails abandoning Sana) goes against everything we know about her as a person.

So what's going to happen instead?

I doubt anything will change, actually. Sel doesn’t seem worried about that law at all:

I'm glad he's not letting it slow him down, and I hope it turns out to be nothing. Problem is, governments love to overreach and it wouldn't be the first time someone who had no business being prosecuted had to defend themselves. I agree that it will probably amount to nothing, but if I were him I'm not sure I would like the idea of trusting my future to "probably". He's got the means to move now, and the cost of that is likely way less than a criminal defense. But if he is comfortable with the risk, far be it from me to try to tell him what to do.

He very well might move away from Texas. He tweeted this not long ago:

Some snarky comments about this:
1. Yay another event with Sels new rape fetish.
2. This is not the harem route, its the girls get raped route.
3. Everyone who abuses Sara needs to be punished severely.

I figured the Sara events wouldn't have Akira in them, he's trash anyway. Just gonna be all about her pain and hardships. Only the lovely Ayane will try and help her.

Bet Niki events are just Ami being a cunt and Niki finding out about the stuff. Or, just filler again with her oblivious.

This specific quote is probably correct. There's enough of a through line between Ami's reveal of Akira's behaviour at Christmas in 0.46 and Niki being around during the invite events in 0.47. Niki was probably testing Akira, and got something out of Sana's invite sex with the weirdness around her shower and japanese bath etiquette.

let's be serious, realistically Niki would know. It's either willful ignorance or Chika levels of cope.

I'd wager it's more that she's testing to which extent she can control him and Ami with the illusion of them having to hide it from her. "would they stop with me living here?", "would they stop if I got to know the other girls? (invite over events)", "would I actually be able to turn Ami's head around?".

Obviously that was all pointless, as what the conversation with Ami showed her (when she asks if Ami is having sex with him for real, long before she came along).

Regardless, I think Selebus wrote himself into a corner there, as he's done many times over, because Niki can't really act in a decisive manner because the rest of the plot has to catch up before it - meaning that she has to stay the oblivious mama Niki that lives with Akira and Ami until we've dealt with a lot of other stuff. It was the same with Chika, she couldn't discover everything that was obvious before the plot reached the point of fixing it with a TSS.

Niki is a weird case. I wouldn't call her a responsible adult since she's too involved in Akira's well being. She's more likely to protect him and shield him and wouldn't rock the boat too much, even if she will bring up some form of it's wrong when the confrontation happens. We're waiting for Maki, or Imani / Rika for a hardline "THIS IS WRONG" perspective. Everyone else is too invested in him, I think even Sara too which we'll see this update.

The Glasswalker chain is full of Niki's affirmative responses to repeated "Will you never leave me?" "Even when you find out what I've done?" questions from Akira. And with her backstory of devotion to him, she's already pidgeonholed herself into not abandoning him as soon as he reveals his truth to her. I don't see her resolve shattering for anything less than him raping a crying and bloody Otoha girl.

Before christmas and Ami I think it was some hopeful cope. She 'fought' Ami pretty hard when she was spouting the incest grimlin and student fucking, it took a proper moment between the two for her to comprehend it. After that, invite tests imo. Akira fucked Sana in front of her while she was spying on them. Now for the low stakes reckoning (And asking why Noriko hasn't gotten any)

That said, Niki has lost 2 sanity points. Maybe something different will happen. Chika's rabies has the result of -10 sanity points if we're treating it as a proper game system.

In my opinion, and I repeat my opinion, if none of the adult mothers freak out about this, Akira will be the one to freak out. He's practically begging for someone to punish him for his actions, and if the only people he thinks can punish him don't do it, imagine how much more screwed up his mind will be?

In my opinion, the characters who will get mad at Akira are "Sara and Rika." I don't know why, but I feel like Maki won't freak out at him. The fact that she found out a bit about Akira's past might end up making her the one who stays the calmest about it. I feel like that's what's going to happen.

I have the same opinion as Osako about Wakana and Imani's reactions when they find out about this. Osako already knows and surprisingly she's being super "calm" about it. Who would have thought that one of the characters who was in my top 30 least favorite characters moved up to the top 5.

I'm on the fence about Maki tbh. I think it could go either way. On one hand she'd likely freak upon discovering that Makoto has been having sex with him.

But then again, would she after talking to Makoto? She's very well aware of how bad things would have gone without Akira's presence there (Makoto did try to kill herself plenty of times). And even though it just didn't take because of reset magic, Maki doesn't know that.

Then we have her seeing just how broken Akira truly is, still hallucinating and a victim of his predator in front of her. I think that makes it quite interesting to see her reaction, because I'd buy her simply not knowing what to do. By the way, I don't think Sara would be against Akira either, because she gets it even more than Maki (not that she would approve obviously, but what I mean is that they wouldn't go "call the police rn").

Related but unrelated: Osako is hot now, that alone drives her up by a lot. But yes, the "I'm so ready to be your friend now that I know you're a predator" was bizarre :ROFLMAO:
