I don't really think that's bad writing at all to be honest though - in fact even in my own life I've seen this situation go down much the same way. It's nice to think in this sort of situation most people would turn into sleuths but the reality is a lot of people opt to mind their own business in these kinds of situations, especially in a scenario like this where there's absolutely no hard evidence of anything actually happening. The only thing they had to go off was Akira and seemingly he was emphatic with Niki that there was nothing weird going on.

Saki and Yuu are the ones I wanna know about at this point, it's kind of nuts we still have basically no information on them at this point. I hope when we do learn/start learning more about them it's not just dropped out of nowhere like the Nozomu revelation, glad as I was to learn more there it was a weak ass reveal imo lol

As far as Sekai choosing to stay with Nozomu I'd just say "why wouldn't she?". I've seen this sentiment a few times but I feel like the reality is she wasn't incentivised to leave at all. Christmas came early for everyone's favourite red-headed nonce and her new bf gave her a cute new toy to play with, it only makes sense to assume she'd turn it away if you assume she's a much better person than we have any reason to.

That certainly puts things into perspective, and the language barrier is definitely a factor. For myself, I don't think you need to go so far as to apologize, or delete anything - although the explanation/apology is appreciated and corrects any possible misunderstanding we might have had. Personally what I find most alarming is that sentiments like these, while not the norm, are not uncommon at all. Very often when you see some niche internet micro-celebrity talk about some abuse they've been the victim of in the past, there's going to be at least one (usually many more) person bringing up some act they did or some statement they made that is deemed "cancel-able"/"woke"/insert-whatever-buzzword-you-want-man and reveling in their completely unrelated past abuses as if it's some kind of retroactive karmic justice. It's so disgustingly common, that you know now that I think about it, it really says a lot about this community that this is the first post of its kind in 2,967 pages of posts and is immediately retracted by the OP after a moment of reflection.

Fair enough, I misunderstood you a little bit there so that's fair.

My main rub here is although I'd like these questions answered I don't think the answers really change anything. Niki's parents are non-entities in the story and whether Sekai was a mean child rapist or a nice child rapist doesn't really change much outside the scope of how I view her character, and even that wouldn't really change much.

Unless Sel decides to get really wild on us and the next big twist is that Sekai didn't rape Akira at all and Fleitwro the God of Crabs and False Memories is fucking with him for kicks or some shit lol

Its for Sel's next innovative VN "The Upside- Down House." The kicker is the only lore that exists for the game is borderline schizo-tweets. And at the end of it, you find out that there is no Upside-down house but Shiori, Kyoko and co. are stuck inside a Twitter account for all eternity(a fate worse than death). Releasing in 2040 something.
