Yeah, Dorm wars is not as interesting now and I am sure Sel running out of those mushrooms to make some interesting competition that is not like the other.

Some glitch in the matrix festival would be nice, like, for a reset there is a festival that everyone (except rooftop squad) knows and celebrate every year, but with a twist (that, again, everyone except us knows about, but is not talk openly about, since for everyone else it's common sense, I mean, you would not walk to your friend and say something among the lines "Did you know that birds can fly?" except if you are super weird or a kid...).

I think Ami joining the Rooftop Apocalypse Squad would be very interesting to see. Hint after hint has been dropped throughout the game that she’s already aware of the resets themselves, but are we to believe Maya Prime’s words that Ami will go mad or be set off because of it?

I hardly think so. I think this Ami is different than what Maya Prime recalled. If Ami truly was going to go psycho on everyone the way she detailed in her story, it would have happened multiple times over by now.

It’s like Tsuneyo said at the Reset 5 sleepover: perhaps Maya, too, was vulnerable to false memories just like everybody else, and this was one of them.

That leaves the question of: “How does Ami feel about this looping world they live in?” We actually have no clue what Ami’s actual thoughts on the loops are, because she hasn’t come out and explicitly revealed it yet.

Or here’s another good question: “Does Ami even want to find out the truth behind the time loops so it can be stopped?”

Either way, new RAS potential candidate or not, Ami will definitely have a big role to play in this update, as the cover picture alludes to:

Other quick obvious things I want to happen?

- I want to learn about Akira and Maya’s past. It seems like we’re definitely gonna delve into it, so let’s hope we get a lot of answers.

- I want Yumi to have survived the reset this time with her memories intact. She’s gone through this quite a few times now. I think it’d be cool if she finally made it.

- No annoying cliffhangers to sit on for two months, please and thank you.

- Also yes I agree that I would like some answers related to Himawari as well.

Yeah, I don't think I should stockpile chapters. Now's the perfect time to play 0.44, but I'm too damn lazy to go and do it. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure if I don't play it right now, once 0.45 drops, I'll feel even more daunted to play through the two back-to-back, leading to more and more delays until there's the EoY break. And by that time, there's no point anyway. So, I'll keep postponing for a few years. And then I won't remember anything. I'll have to play LiL from the beginning, which I'll never do since it's so damn huge...

Oh fuck. Yeah, I'm going to force myself to play now.

Play now. The cliffhanger between 0.44 and tomorrow's update should be experienced at least just a bit, as it'll make the update feel all the sweeter. Playing them back to back won't really hit as hard!

Yeah if you are who I think you are you're permanently banned from the discord.
It's not really something targetted at you directly, every single time someone gets banned over there it's permanent.
You must've broken one of their stupid rules or said something that Selebus didn't like personally, that's how easy it is to get banned over there. LiLcord is the most stupid server I've ever seen and I'm ashamed of what is has turned into.
The only way to get this undone is by reaching Selebus directly through a different platform, but goodluck doing that AND getting him to listen.

Been thinking about this a lot, if a past version of Maya Prime is there Sensei will latch on to her and become very hard to work with. He won't want to let her go.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the previews and the discussions are always fun. But I feel like I want to approach each new update with a "clean slate" as it were, without any prior knowledge or expectations of what's to come.
Not that the spoilers are really that big in the first place, I just don't like to speculate about something that I haven't seen first hand yet, I guess?
This is not limited to LiL of course, I also never watch movie trailers, and I also hate it when TV shows have previews of the next episode.

Oh well, I guess people that don't want get spoiled for the update are probably not watching the thread right now anyway

I do too. Even when on the discord I muted all the preview channels and stuff. Needing to avoid discussion on the preview images and event titles is the one unfortunate aspect of engaging with the community. You are very wise to avoid movie trailers and TV previews; the amount of magic lost from even a slight amount of foreknowledge can be vast. Once one detoxes from previews one can only look at how revealing movie trailers are with nothing short of shock. (although there are some studies which show the average person enjoys things MORE when they are spoiled...)

One day to go, it's time for the traditional "what do you want to happen in this update?"

I am really looking forward to the Himawari stuff to be explained, and if it isn't I'm going to be very disappointed.

Like, it's understandable that some of it remains a mystery, but for the amount of Himawari in chapter 3, and how much she's been active and hinting at it all coming down this halloween - including the time travel which mirrors her own presumed time travel origin (and Pareidolia's sacrifice, which for all we know has been her off-partner/boss for the longest time), it just doesn't make sense for it not to be revealed now.

Edit: If Selebus reveals that her name is Ami/Amy in this update, you guys will never hear the end of it from me
Edit2: We also managed to go 500 messages over our normal amount this month, we're at 45.525 for update 0.45 (versus 44k for 0.44) \o/

So much to look forward to in this update:

• A heavy focus on Maya/Ami/Ayane, who in my opinion really are the game's best characters. I especially like that we'll get some events with them and no Sensei, to further explore their relationships with each other.
• Clues about how much Ami and Maya know about the world and maybe even why they know it. I can't wait to see what's happening in the scene with the winking Ami and the one where she's with the distressed Maya.
• Clues about Maya's past. Will there be evidence for or against my Sekai theory?
• Boxes! I know I mention them every time I make one of these posts, but I think this is the update where they're finally opened.
• More speculatively, I have a feeling we're going to learn something big about the primary narrator, and hopefully by extension USER4.

I guess I disagree with you about Himawari's importance to this reset, especially since it looks like Ayane is getting help from her timeline's Maya (and her boxes?). Himawari's rule-breaking interventions seem to be more opportunistic than calculated to me. It would be nice if we got some payoff for whatever Ayane experienced at the beach, but I'm not expecting it when we've seen no sign that she remembers anything.

To offset my Himawari negativity, here's a no context tinfoil theory that I think you might like: Ami had the same role in Terminal 22 that Himawari does in Terminal 23.

I would probably avoid the previews if I was choosing in a vacuum, but looking at them makes it a lot easier to read and participate in the discussion here. So far I haven't regretted it, I think Selebus does a good job of throwing in red herrings and hiding any real twists so that the big moments are still impactful.
