In fact, there is a good chance that we are not interpreting or controlling someone, we are just mere spectators because for us to interpret/control we have to have a certain control over things and seriously, if we change all the "choices" we we made in this game, nothing would take away from the result we are in now because of all the "choices" we made, none of them really had a monstrous impact on the world. Everything that was really important, we had no choice.

And what could confirm this is if Akira's fourth wall breaks really are serious and he's really talking to us.

I thought of a choice that would change the story a lot today and it would be if we had the choice at the beginning not to have sex with Ayane, imagine the change that would make to the story today?

Oh but it is, ugh, i suck at explaining it but it's all a facade, the game even says it at some points, you don't actually have a choice. So far all we've seen is Ayane's version, Yumi was straight up 'fuck no', nothing on Rin (she was asked i think, but with Otoha at the time), Chinami looked to almost definitely be a no and nothing on Tsubasa so far. If you don't choose Ayane you miss a scene and Selly has gone on the record to say a 100% run will be possible and he hasn't retracted it so we're left with a sort of proof by contradiction, if anyone else has a viable threesome scene then a 100% run is not possible, and if it still is then only Ayane's can be viable, so it's up to you how you flip that coin, but based on everything else the game has shown so far and what we know of Selly as a dev, i'd put the odds on Ayane being the right choice compared to the rest at like 99:1.

The threesome conversation with Rin and Chika doesn't happen if you don't choose her, but chances are, that if there's an actual threesome later, it'll happen whether you chose Rin or not.

There might be a call back to the choice later, but it likely would just be extra dialogue. Meanwhile, you would have missed the threesome with Ayane, for that extra dialogue, instead of getting both threesomes eventually.

Overall: The Chika threesome choices have just been either a threesome with Ayane, or extra dialogue so far.

To add to this before rework there were many other "choices" which either become rewritten completely (Ayane infamous 'chu' event at first had the options of saying "you are the first to see it" or "Ami saw it as well"), the one event that was not rewritten, but which had their choice made for the player after rework is Sana event.

There was event before rework where to the question "Where would you rather be or to where would you go?" from Sana there were two answers. The second answer was "To the edge of the world" or something akin to that. That option become 'canon' one so to speak. There are many other examples where options before rework were either rewriten or chosen for you after rework. So any person who still have naive idea that they choices matter are huffing some US army arsenal amount of copium. There are right choices that you must make, if you make any other "choice" different from the one that Sel had in mind, then congratulations, you have reached a failstate

Well, either we get a linear game like we get now, together with high frequent updates, or you get a branching monstrosity, with each update taking longer as the one before. So i dont even get it why anyone is suprised the choices barely matter and at best lead to missed events or some additional dialogue here and there.
