is anyone else having issues with saves not working on newer versions of games, when it used to work fine before. Noticed this starting happening about a month or 2 ago on basically every renpy game.

That's quite normal. From time to time the changes are to much for old saves, if you skip some updates and the gap is to big. You better stay on track and get all updates, as soon as they are available...best solution for this issue.

If you want Sana's number and it's missing from your phone, go check the photo she has sent you by this point. It will appear in your phone after you're done. Considering you can invite Sana immediately if you've completed 0.46, this is important.

I'm on to 0.46 now. These past few updates have been WILD. So much so that I don't even feel like making reactions because so much is going on and I don't feel like I don't even know where to begin at this point. In other news, I finally installed URM. Aint no way I was gonna grind SENSEI QUEST.

what is the 21st Haruka event and why does it keep saying that I missed it after finishing the first Sana invite-over event? URM says that for some reason I need the harukasex flag to be false, and setting it to false does nothing.

You're ruining your save file because you're setting flags you aren't supposed to.
Use URM to see dialogue you wouldn't see, sure. BUT THEN ROLL BACK BEFORE THE CHOICE AND DO WHAT YOUR SAVE NORMALLY DOES BY CLICKING INSTEAD OF URMING A CHOICE.
That check is setting a skip flag in the first place. If you aren't fucking Haruka you don't get an event related to fucking Haruka.

Nearly missed the update getting a McDonalds chicken burger with melted cheese, but afterwards finishing it while getting the update, I'd say it'd be worth missing the update by an hour or so to eat. Although McDonalds made me pause mid-game in the update remembering some shit like 2, 3, or whatever years ago about medium size fries apparently being more than large fries, did a quick search, seems like some small rabbit hole that I don't wanna go through so I just instead went back to the game.
