Honestly kinda disturbs me that that side of community really wants to see that type of content that badly over the narrative of the story lessons in love wants to tell
That stuff IS a major part of the story being told. LiL does not exist without it. And those people have been given a taste of fine dining after probably decades of fast food equivalents.

Do you read hentai at all? at least of cartoon parodies rather than original characters / stories. For the longest time and still to this day tbh, they just create a weak reason to bring some characters together and then they fuck, cuck and suck then boom it's over. Then a few years ago, an artist created a star vs comic that actually took its time with a slow buildup (a comment said the female artist wrote it for the female libido) and it turned out there were a ton of males who were craving an experience like that. Over the several years it took (iirc 2 weeks per page and it was 150 pages in the end) they didn't even get penetration until page 70 (though they got a hell of a blueballing tease at 47). That comic is infamous in the fandom, it's still brought up as a yardstick of quality, and there were even a bunch of artists who thought they'd try to write a story like that, though barely any of them were able to keep it up, and arguably none of them are as memorable as the original.

There is a hell of a under-served audience craving sensual stories that involve sex, Sel's gone further stabbing his pen into the crack between taboo and unacceptable, and given those people something fantastic when they were used to gruel from a handful of artists making generic stories but loli. And it's more than just wish fufillment. Plenty of moments in the story where he makes you feel shame for disgusting actions that happen.

If anything, the subscriber loli requests are more of the slop they're used to, only notable because there's an original story the characters come from where people actually care about them. Once in a blue moon someone requests something that could actually be a what if from the game, but even those lack the words that make up the character.

You're right about the depth of the characters and slow burn development being important, but I think a large part of what I enjoy is just the look and feel of the characters. Sure it's simplistic but I really appreciate the realistic proportions when I'd otherwise be drowning in a sea of oversized flesh mounds. (Not you Futaba, your size is perfect.)

It's especially nice having short girls in here because as a short guy myself, petite shorter girls are my thing. It seems like small girls mostly just terrify other people just for being small. I get the reaction to wizards, I just don't get why so many seem to practice small woman erasure just because it's rare. It's fantasy, let us fantasize!

Anyway, I'm not saying the quality of writing isn't what keeps us around, I'm just saying visuals and setting are likely what got us here in the first place. In fact, I think one of the reasons this work resonates with me so intensely is that it explores the same emotional journey one might have over their own self-identified thought crimes. Biology adapts to achieve it's goals and sometimes it's a little too good at it.

Well, that's enough self reporting for one post I think. I'll get back to the Koi mines and grind through the consequences of being inspired by one of the most controversial Koi AVN's on the site.

Remember to smile.

EDIT: Apparently I over shared a bit. Should be good now.

Oh no, I got the reference. (Unfortunately) I just so happen to be among the "brain rot/ gen z age group". The part that threw me off was the 202. Were the cavemen oonga'ing and boonga'ing for "skibbidi Touka sex?"
I now have “Hooked on a Feeling” going through my head.

‘Cause I’m old.

Skibidi Touka sex sounds good to me whenever it comes. Or cums.

I think the 202? meant “some year in future,” maybe?

Assuming self-insert, since that's the only point of reference, 31
Huh.

I assume somewhere in his thirties too.

Of course, if he was 31 when he started, he’d be 36 now, right?

And here I was thinking I had just ended up here because in order for a girl to be shorter than me they have to be 5'2". I lucked out and met someone 15 years ago but if I had been 2 inches shorter, no dice.

Wizards aside, I feel like I'm such an outlier for preferring mostly normal proportions in my adult content. I didn't think much of it until I started seriously trying to make my own project. When I make a girl that appeals to my tastes, I know I'd get called out for making them 5 ft tall and cute. This happens in real life too, my now wife was 19 when I met her but my friends at the time said she looked like a high school boy. Haha flat chest, real funny guys.

Real talk for a second, being a short guy fucks with your head. You only get affection from a small minority of women so you end up guarded around the tall ones and hopeful around the shorties. Sure, there are outliers but generally, the average guy won't have the advantages that get the tall ones to settle on height. Eventually, your taste might freeze in place at the late teens and mature women become romantically intimidating.

Anyway, I'm not saying the quality of writing isn't what keeps us around, I'm just saying visuals and setting are likely what got us here in the first place. As a smaller guy myself who is cursed/blessed with looking like an eternal 15 year old, I relate to that. I absolutely have a preference for smaller petite women that match my size, and the sad reality is that they are most often too young for me or prefer taller guys in my experience. It definitely took a whole journey for me to get over the feeling of "I don't deserve love, anyone who likes me would be a weirdo" but I did it. And I can now empathize with the opposite sex as well because petite women DO exist and they also have to deal with that sort of insecurity too, even if it is a bit less socially intense than it is for a guy.

Of course that being said, I personally can find beauty all shapes of the female form and have been fortunate to have some generally successful relationships that I cherished with women that were bigger/taller than me. That in particular is something that I actually appreciate greatly with LiL's handling of realistic proportions.

Futaba might not be one of the best characters in the story admittedly, but I respect that Sel was willing to include an overweight girl and attempt to flesh her out even if her story still needs some more attention, and I empathize with Molly and her insecurities with her underdeveloped body since I went through a similar thing in my youth.

The characters are good man.

Who shit in this guy's Fruit Loops? Me having 10k likes pissed him off so much that he had to pm me and tell me "how much it means to him." Even after I helped him out with the fan fest stuff :(. And based of his recent account activity he's been taking his pent up frustration across the Lil threads for a couple of weeks now. Considering he only has 13 posts on this website, majority of his time has been spent being mad for whatever reason.

Tbh it's not worth even acknowledging people like that. If he's got nothing productive to say then just let him scream at the wind until he gets bored and moves on

They're still mad they had to play the game themselves instead of using the guide mod cause the guide mod waits for public releases to update.

What is inside the boxes maya (the good one) [the normal one] {the one we all came to love} makes us carry?
If you played through the most recent reset.... we found that (in that timeline, at least) the boxes contain Maya Prime's notes. She's been through so many resets that she can't keep her memories straight, so she writes them down. Then does the moving-around thing on reset day so they persist, apparently.
