This is purely to rant.

This is a very understandable reaction, and coming from someone whose favorite characters include Yuki, I feel you. Selebus writing there was quite questionable, as many here have noted already. We're with you, and if you choose to continue playing, we'll all get through this together.

Since I'm bored and have never done one I, too, have made a tier list.

Ayane, Yumi (to an extent), Sana, and Ami represent me. Regardless, I quite like how Ayane has been "out of the normal ranking" for a lot of people - as that seems to be Selebus intent (evidenced from the last DormWars update).

Because if Sensei did get reset now, wouldn't it just .... make absolutely no sense for everyone involved?

We're led to believe that what's keeping everyone's memories going in this cycle is that Akira didn't get reset yet. This is what is also leading to problems, as everyone more or less gets developed further than they should, and to get developed means coming closer to the truth that everything's broken.

If Akira got reset right now, it's likely that everyone would also get hard reset back to the start. The exception might be the Apocalypse Squad members, that, for reasons unknown, are keeping their memories more akin to how Maya Prime was, which is independently of Akira.

*This is speculation based on what has happened thus far though. It could very easily simply be changed on Selebus' whim.

Edit: Ami and Tsubasa might also be keeping their memories regardless of Akira.

Something I've been mulling over recently is the nature of the resets. We've seen girls retain the majority of their newly developed personality traits between resets, like Chika's insanity, Sana's other insanity, etc. But what if Sensei got hard reset right now? What if he woke up again like the start of the game with Ami helping him out in the classroom like has allegedly been done so many times before?

Are there two types of resets? Soft resets, like we've been going through, and a hard reset like how the start of the game/first reset went? Or has Sensei previously really never done enough to alter anyone's personality? Because if Sensei did get reset now, wouldn't it just .... make absolutely no sense for everyone involved? But it's still absolutely something that could happen?

I don't know if this is a case of Sel not establishing rules clearly enough, if I'm over or under thinking something, or if it even matters.

There are hard resets (Like when you click on New Game) and there are soft resets where the "World" keeps as is, but only one character's memories are reset (Like New Maya)

Thanks, now I wonder if the dark route will consist of only Sensei being hard reset. With how shit's going down, I can only image what will happen if the focal point of most of the craziness wakes up and thinks he's in a dark isekai harem fantasy.

As others have said they're hard reset when Sensei is - or something similar.

Sel hasn't laid out the rules explicitly but Maya does sort of talk about this quite early on and aside from that you can just kind of put two and two together I think. We know from conversations with Maya that Sensei has had sexual relationships with everyone in the original class and we can gleam from Yumi that some of them were perhaps more overt or aggressive than others with her references to the creepy/rapey detentions (which Sensei one point mentions she shouldn't be able to remember since it didn't happen with him). Maya also says that pretty much every iteration of Sensei has fucked the shit out of Ami.

All of which is to say that Sensei being reset must result in a hard reset for everyone else (excluding Maya and perhaps the RAS). If it just played out as we've seen post-reset for the rest of the class then all of them (and presumably some people outside of class) would be very familiar with Sensei and already believe themselves to be in a sexual relationship with him from the onset of the game. There would also be those like Molly, Kirin and Tsuneyo (who we know from Maya have been in and out of the class across resets) who would know Sensei well despite our Sensei having never met them.

Instead everyone treats him as if he's an ordinary teacher with whom they're barely acquainted with the new additions to the class like Molly being initially unfamiliar with him outside of rumour. The only exception aside from Maya is Yumi who remembers those detentions (and presumably other stuff) that she shouldn't for whatever reason

(As an aside, I personally think that Akira and Sara would make for a fine romantic pair, seeing their shared struggle, but that's neither here nor there).

Amen to that. I have always thought that if I were Akira in a RL situation, where we try to have good, non-exploitive relationships, Sara would be an easy ideal choice. She is beautiful, youthful, faithful, and kind, and you would be filling a void and giving her emotional support that she craves. Plus "normal" Sana, who I assume would remain mostly like she is when you first interact with her (and in general I would assume that there is no supernatural shenanigans making all the girls Akira-crazy), would be a great step-daughter. You could help bring her out of her shell and give her confidence, and she definitely seems like she would be happy to have a father-figure in her life.

Regardless, I quite like how Ayane has been "out of the normal ranking" for a lot of people - as that seems to be Selebus intent (evidenced from the last DormWars update).

I would 100% agree that is Sel's intent. She does have the most solo events of all the girls (42), followed by Ami(40) ( who I would say a lot of people have her on her own tier, just in the opposite direction) Plus, I'm 99% sure Sel said she would be the 1st purity route.

She hasnt made it into an individual tier for me yet, but I would say its between her and Molly as to who is the girl who moved up the most if I actually ranked them by each chapter as I originally played them. Doing a replay, I really can see how much more I like her character as each chapter goes on.

Prob would be hard for me to do that though as my top 3 (Rin, Futaba, Makoto) have basically never changed since the start.
