An extremely off-topic question, but I do consider the residents of this thread connoisseurs of the fine arts (not joking) and I'd like your opinion. hoping that it will stay for some time, coz when I started a coffee discussion last time it got nuked

I have a story. It is unfinished, but the entire plot is set and it's definitely finite. It is pretty dystopian, disturbing and somewhat close to LiL in terms of evoking feelings of despair, sympathy and loss. Not gonna tell any details (but can answer some general questions), but it's the only similarity that I have.

Question - what would be the best medium for that?
Web-novel?
AVN?
Actual animated series?

Asking only in terms of preference, immersion and user-experience, not regarding production time/costs. Thank you!

My personal preference for reading is
AVN > web-novel > animated series.

AVN only if you have some media elements in mind that will really bring out the uniqueness and meaning behind your story, whether it be music, art, choices.

Webnovel if you really just have the narrative you want to tell and are unsure of bonus media that youd want to include.

Animation can be amazing, but I'm very picky and it requires near perfect execution to grab me. I prefer reading over waiting for subtitles or people to speak.

AVN would be kinetic. Music and visuals is something that I definitely want to include, but since I suck at blender (for now) and don't want to resort to daz/kk/hs2/ai, it will take some time, but I'm in no rush.

Animation - yeah, I think that it should be very well executed, I just don't think that it equals hyperrealistic visuals. Style, quality and flow is everything.
