Until definitively disproven by the update I am choosing to believe it's because she and Ayane are becoming friends. I am choosing to be happy.
Soon they will fall in love, run away together and, through sheer willpower on Ayane's part, have a baby together. Yumi was Himawari's dad all along.

It's up to you - if you have the desire and time, then of course you can do the translation. But you shouldn't expect serious analytics, In my personal opinion, a LIL fan will not be interested in watching this

I am not used to the NiB sprites appearing in other random games, I just got flashbanged hard in the latest updates page
There are a couple of things that technically aren't translated, but they seem so low on the priority list to bother with.
That wiki is out of date for stuff later in the game iirc, or at least that translations page, but someone will have figured out translations within days of the update hitting. Either have fun decoding it for yourself or follow along with updates as they hit. Someone usually mentions they couldn't figure out how to translate some message and someone else says they figured it out an hour ago and didn't post.

There is quite a lot that isn't on the wiki (or at least wasn't last I checked). But, as other people have said, mostly you'll discuss and theorize on the lore rather than decode it exactly.
