For those having difficulty triggering the new events, I did a bit of testing and I believe I have figured out the exact conditions needed for each of them:

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Damn, imagine playing this part in the future, when you have no idea that you should do something specific, several times in a row. I mean, we know now that there are only so many events and know with what characters do we need to talk, but if you (or some new guy who just got here on his 1st playthrough) are going to replay this part a few months later, you will have no idea at all and just going to click on everything "until you succeed".

Generic events are the filler events you get when there's no new story content, like you get when you're trying to grind up a stat. "You visit Chika at the mall, blah blah blah, nothing happens, here have a point of affection"

At least one of those is going to be for Imani, who had no such events prior to this update.

"Bucket" may be a reference to the hidden scene mentioned above. Haven't seen it yet, so I don't know for sure.
Yup, "Bucket" is definitely code for "happy scene"

well if someone is playing this in the future, they should definitely be using the progress mod, or at least be referencing the wiki. going thru this game blind is just an exercise in futile frustration.

yeah I was curious on who had new generic events rather than what they were. i worded it poorly. thanks tho

so far i've only noticed the new ones being for Wakana and Osaka, but I haven't tried hanging out with Imani yet

So, about Imani...were those burn marks on her body or what?

also, it's pretty annoying that you have to grind affection points with Osaka up to 15 and the only time you can see her is at the dojo on the weekends. there was never really an opportunity to gain affection with her previously, so 15 is a bit much imo. I had to ctrl thru like 4 weeks of in game days to build that up.

This update felt like it was trolling us.

1) I was nowhere near the 25/30 affection required for the Chinami events.
2) Half of the opportunities to increase it overlap with Osako's only opportunity.
3) We're given the maid cafe as an Osako event trigger, and a new location on Fridays where she very obviously goes now after work (because Wakana's there), and can't go to either to further improve that absurdly high threshold.
4) At least one event starts on a Saturday or Sunday morning and take up the whole damn day, so we lose an opportunity to go to the dojo.

certainly seems like an oversight to not include her in at least one of those locations, but knowing how selebus tends to be, it was probably intentional. at least with chinami, there are generally 4 opportunities to raise affection weekly, and she's been around for a long time so that one didn't annoy me quite as much. i think a lot of the pacing problems that occur in this game if you don't meticulously follow the wiki or the mod could be solved if each affection tier for unlocking new events was in sets of 3 instead of 5.

Add more weeks for her next event! (20 like req)
and what's worse is that of all the story threads in the game, i care the least about the wakana/osaka dynamic. the poetry thing that was introduced this update with wakana was interesting, but besides that, they seem mostly inconsequential to anything else that's happening.

It's definitely a pretty big flaw in this game. If you play release to release the new content isn't too hard to discover. But if you're starting fresh, it can be incredibly difficult since the game pretty much requires you to discover the content in the order it was added even though it presents itself as a sandbox.

Maybe I'm pervert, but with hints on Wakana x Sensei and Osako being bottom and her problems with satisfying Wakano, I can see how it could lead to some cuckold relationship with Sensei

wait, he won`t kill her because patreon`s admins deleted his account, right?
Hopefully Sel hasn't changed his mind about it because of patreon BS. Have to admit that, when initially being introduced to Chinami, I immediately thought of how her eventual demise being so scripted and unavoidable in order to break Chika in full force. Though I am here to witness everything going south, having something unfortunate happen to her really is the least thing I am ready to see.

Maybe the next reset will get rid off whatever is going on with her now if she makes it past Christmas, but I am not getting my hopes up.

maybe she'll get really sick to the point of Chika reaching out to Tsubasa for help. then she'll receive the best medical care available but be forced to be taken from Chika's custody

When Ami's mom speaks to Sensei in any scene, her name is shown as Teacher. When she speaks to Ami, she's Sekai.

The fact that her name changes for Sensei is relevant. That's what she is to him. Not just in a classroom sense, everything that defines him, he learned from her. His nihilism, his detachment of sex from love, his grooming of others as she groomed him.
This rings a slightly unrelated bell for me:
Perhaps it's been brought up for a bazillion times, so could the name that starts with the letter T in fact be "Teacher"? Or is this one of those You Are The 5728024th Person Who Discovered It LOL. This is in a sense like how Sensei just embraces "Sensei" as his name. I just honestly don't think at this point any regular T-starting name would pack a single punch when we finally get to some revelation part.
(Also me here suspecting Tsuenyo the whole time hahaha)

Couldn't Tsukasa and her mom just throw her "fuck you" levels of money at her and fix her health?

If i was filthy rich and my kid finally made a friend i'd help that kid out.

Possibly, but I think there's more to it.

There was a moment where Sensei is in the Room with the Clocks, looking at someone who looks like Maya hanging, and he says "I'm looking at her right now" in reference to "T". I can't find it in Replay, so I think it might be a varialbe-dependent section of the scene, but it implies that Maya is "T" in some way.

Possibilities:

1) Maya isn't her real name, and the real name starts with T
2) Maya has Teacher's face (the game very specifically obscures her face), which would imply that Maya is Teacher's child or sister.
3) Maya is possessed by Teacher or a reincarnation of Teacher
4) Maya and Teacher are both avatars of the unnamed third god.

All indications are that death doesn't actually happen inside Kumon-Mi. At least, something has directly interfered multiple times to keep Makoto alive.

So if she does get criticaly ill, Chinami won't die. She'll just continue wasting away indefinitely.

I agree that Maya or some iterations of Maya is the most possible candidate for being the "T" (the other candidate being the intentionally mysterious watermelon blue-eyed girl). I mean, currently with the little amount of complete clues we have, I'm just basically pointing fingers to any girl/entity suspicious enough and asking "Hey you T?!?!?"

I also thought of the possibility of THE Maya, the girl we came to know and love, not using her real name when trying to rationalize Ami's statement of "You've never tutored Maya"; as if the name Maya belonged to a girl that Ami knew and was never tutored by Sensei, and the girl Maya wasn't being honest with Sensei.

perhaps that's because she was trying to kill herself.

if not, and death is not allowed, that would probably be even worse for chika and chinami. wakana is all fucked up from having an endless school year and never getting the professional satisfaction of being able to complete it and send her students on to the next year of their education. imagine how harrowing it will be for chika to see her sister wither away cycle after cycle and never break the tension of "will she or won't she die". she'll hate herself for having the thought that it would all be so much easier for them both if she would finally just be able to rest in peace. or maybe chinami will just keep dying over and over, and each time, time resets, but the scars of her passing would remain. there would be such a deep seated sadness and grief inside of her that she would never be able to put words to, and it would completely change her as a person. chinami herself would forsure lose her spark and either become completely terrified of death, or painfully nihilistic.

and then i imagine the effect this would have on yumi would be intense as well. the chosokabes are the only people she really cares about, and losing them in that way would be disastrous for her. it could serve as a catalyst to either bring her closer to sensei and yuki, or bring her closer to following her mother's footsteps and ending up in an alleyway with a needle in her arm.
