Ami has earned her place at lowest tier. I understand her breaking but I can't exactly enjoy the scenes with her rn. She's just talking mad shit and making everything worse for Akira?

I'm 50/50 on the Wakana/Osako line. I liked developing Osako a bit but then she just chose the dumbest ways to do everything.

Sana is... interesting. Similar to Rin's new direction. Keen on these.

And Chika? See stolen image. I don't like the wizard plot being a thing if it progresses past more than a vehicle for flashbacks

I like that we have a modicum of control back at least, though I'm shocked Makoto and Uta/Io weren't included in the interactable characters while 'depressed' while Yasu/Nodoka are. Hell i thought Yumi/Yuki were some of his go to choices when he wants to beat himself up.

loli content is gonna be the great divide for the community regardless of where they participate. sillybus can always cuck us with a black screen and text like the sana princess carry when she was drunk during one of her events. or he can hold true to being a degenerate that he is and give us that content in all its glory. i look forward to the anger and destruction of the fans either way

And, looking back at the context of Maya's 'Close Your Eyes' Chapter 1 Event, it seems plausible that Maya may have actually learned this from Sensei, and was disappointed that Chapter 1 Sensei didn't agree with what Pre Resets Sensei taught her:

Actualy, death of Maya Prime was enough for Sensei to feel realy better. AFAIR Selebus suffered from depression himself, so he should know that sadness and pain are ususaly first emotions to return.

Something similar depends on what you mean. These tend to be the games I deem recommendable:

Ren'py:

• Dissonance
• Secrets of Sorcery
• Crimson High
• Hero Party Must Fall
• Sexbot
• Black Heart Hotel (dark)
• Four Elements Trainer
• Rick and Morty Another Way Home (Ren'py version)

Rpgm:

• Black Souls (dark)
• Black Souls II (dark)
• Red Riding Woods (it's not as good as Black Souls, but gives some dark background info on a character)
• Ouroboros (Interesting)
• The Last Sovereign (Lost interest, but it's fine)

All that comes to mind atm.

If you like the looping thing then the Black Souls games, Sexbot, and Ourobous fit.

If you want a fucked up MC, then the Black Souls games, Black Heart Hotel, and Hero Party Must Fall, should work. Four Elements Trainer has multiple Slave Routes and can get kind of fucked up. Like cumming in a blind girl's eyes, kind of fucked up.

If you want something that has "Wizards", then the Black Souls games, Four Elements Trainer, and technically the Rick and Morty one, has some. (As hard as it might be to believe, I don't actually play these games or LiL, for that part of them, lmao.)

If you just want something that's entertaining and has lore to it, then most of that works, and I wouldn't consider any of it badly written.

I still think that Sensei and the MC from Black Souls are awfully similar though. Albeit, Sensei is far more of a coward, while the Black Souls MC would probably be trying to find a way to rape Nao's and Sekai's souls...and probably the Shapeshifter. Maybe on accident with that last one. Maybe.

I wonder if Collector Sensei will be more like that..

Because it just occurred to me while reading through her old events; what if she gained her giant ego from her belief all the various senseis were different people possessing his body, and the fact they all gravitated towards her meant she just must be preternaturally adorable and not Akira's subconscious drive for her?

On the other hand, she is very cute. Might just be an objective assessment.

Ami and Rin both seem kind of attracted to Maya though, so she probably is intended to be attractive just by default. She definitely thinks she is, either way.

saw that coming. I'll hold this idea in the back of my mind until we get a definitive "cutest girl alive" line, but yeah it seems that's probably a built in Maya feature.
I will say though, there are very few girls Rin isn't attracted to lol. But the others do in general seem to think she's overall attractive. I feel like there's someone else who's made an off handed comment, but I lack the legendary DeSkel eidetic memory confirm that without skimming literally the whole game

Sorrow of Rebirth is basically exactly LiL, though I haven't tried the newer updates.
Other than that, Detached, Perfect Pitch, and Love Castaways are decent.

Perhaps give "Another World" a try, it's pretty new and heavily inspired by LiL, with similar horror-y style and sandbox gameplay. MC is a student instead of a teacher, but is still loved by everyone. Pretty well high quality so far.

Secrets of Sorcery. It have horrendous gameplay of LiL, if that helps (it's not), and graphics of basic koikatsu, but story is quite wholesome and interesting (even though it gets quite dark). Played it while waiting for this version of LiL to go out, expecting close to nothing, but ended up binging it for a whole week (it's quite long) and enjoying it enough to burst through horrendous LiL-like "gameplay" (just set everyones affection to 100 and Lust to 30 with URM, at least it will ease the burden, but sometimes you will need a wiki though).
I am quite bad at "selling" games, but knowing that I hate LiLs "gameplay" and still went through with this game should tell you enough.

Maya's and Sensei's relationship is likely supposed to be top secret, and even New Maya has likely been hiding it from Ami and Ayane (and society) for years by this point in her mind.

I think she's getting sexually frustrated though

If that's the case I wonder what will she do after realizing Sensei is going to be ignoring her and preventing any 1:1 situations with her.
She could probably chase and corner him at his office during his advisor hours, but who knows when he is coming back to school

Also New Maya might still think she is the only one right? What will be her reaction after finding out half the class is fucking Sensei?
Old Maya "matured" through hundred of centuries, but New(Pre-timeloop) Maya always came across as...very obssesive, yandere type. We only saw glimpses of it (mostly through interactions with Noriko). What she did to Noriko wasn't any different from what Ami was trying to do this/last update.

Can't wait to see what happens with that specifically.

Gonna spill out few things, in random order:

1) oh maaan, what can i say.....POOR POOR Ami. I feel really sorry for her. Wanted to post about her since 0.35 and now shits gone far enough to do it. She really is a human angel, so kind and caring and she gets shitted and slapped on by every side. Think about it, the only thing she wants after Arakawa regained his consciousness is that he stayed with her after 2month of hard work. She wants to kill herself if he doesnt, and gets lied to her face again (after Ayane got in). After being in school, he promised her to come home soon. Instead Arakawa prefered whoring around, leaving her alone the whole night in a terrible state.
There was a strong scene between those two few updates ago. When Arakawa entered his 2-month hiatus, he uttered sth like "Ami, fetch me my sanity pack" -and then Ami:"YES SIR!". <-- that was teamwork like the A-Team, u just imagine snare drums with this scene LOL. She knows exactly what needs to be done, and she literally sacrifices herself for the sake of others all the time.

2) Amy from the mall: Here we can see what Ami is like. Truly a human angel. The mall-Amy is a distant memory of Ami herself, at least a few centuries old. She is slowly fading away, by this time just a rough silouette of her remains, even the name isnt remembered correctly anymore. Selebus got his inspiration for this plotpiece from the x-files, episode: Tithonus

Some food for thought
During Ami's delirium in Della, she said something that doesn't simply come from trapping in bedtime story hallucination and/or a fit of anger.

Why haven't you kept playing BREED YOUR NIECE MINI GAME?!?!?!
Ami has always been a prime suspect of time fuckery-related matters or basically anything unexplainable, but it also has always been hard to really tell how much she knows and/or how much she's involved. This time, however, these lines aren't delivered during resets, happy events, or dreamy sequences to confuse or shock players; she delivers these words diegetically to Sensei.

So, does she in fact know A LOT MORE than she lets on? Does she also know about the reincarnation, but have an opinion on the complete opposite side of Maya?

Or, Is Ami during Della in a god-induced blackout and something other than Ami was scolding us through Ami?

Or, since Ami recites parts of conversation she and Sensei had back in A New You, perhaps after finding out "his brain being stupid" and how similar the situation was compared to a manga or a game, Ami from that point forward started treating things really like a game (a porn game no less) and wished Sensei to do the same so that her envisioned future of being with her uncle is no longer impossible?

Personally, I think Ami subjectively wanting Sensei to treat this like a game so that she has a chance to end with him is the most straightforward take. But things are a lot spicier, much more interesting, and still explainable if she really knows more. Especially, I think getting Ami pregnant "should" have some otherworldly effects solely because events like Am I Awake exist, as if that event foreshadows what "her epilogue" looks like, or perhaps foreshadows how all the other Senseis who immediately slept with Ami ended.
