I gotta say, the more I reach chapter 4, the more I'm convinced that Ami deserves to be purged with a flamethrower. Also how utterly defenseless even Maya Prime is when faced with her. Both Maya and Akira are, they really need Ayane (Or Niki, I guess).

Funny thing, from the beginning, I never trust her.

We should really cool it with the anti-Ami remarks. She's the best niece you could ever ask for and waits on her uncle hand and foot. She's the very model of a modern cutie daughterfu. Ami is so cute.
Edit: Oh yeah, damn! this reminded me of something else. Not gonna lie, I'm getting a bit schizophrenic with old age, or I mean, a bit Alzheimer'd. It was in chapter 4 that the narrator said an astute reader would realize the knocking each morning was only in Sensei's head. This parallels the fact that in Nothing is Beautiful, the protagonist is constantly hearing the knocking of his dead mother (she died, tragically, of cancer. I think. It may have been space aliens. I don't entirely remember the lore.) This is a really intriguing factor. Not as a clean-cut, aha, gotcha, Ami ain't real! kind of thing. But more like the thematic parallels and the rhyming poetry within. What kind of person is it that hallucinates knocking? What may have inspired this? Where are they doing this? What significance is there in this shared attribute? etc. And most importantly, how primed is Selebus for a reveal wherein a non-Ami character says "I am the one who knocks." before a Breaking Bad stinger plays and a character holds up a can of delicious, refreshing Coca-Cola?

You've basically figured out the extent of the choices. I dare say Molly is the 'canon' choice, futaba gets an extra dimension to their spat with the Rintoha chat, most of the others just get an extra line. Maya's flag is never checked, and I'm not sure if Rin's was either.
With second halloween done, you should have access to Niki invite events so remember the jumpscare warning. I don't know what order AutoVN is doing stuff in because you should have had access to Maki long before Halloween. Maybe take over and force those lewd Niki events to be done before it's forgotten?

So I just accidently just pressed "V" during a very serious talk between Makoto and Sensei...and I haven't been able to stop giggling like a moron since. I never knew that hearing Makoto say "Heheh" in robot man voice could be so...enlightening. Also, Pew-tuh-buh is the only canon pronunciation for Futaba in my book now.

Oh no, I've been having a stupid thought every now and then and "Girl C" isn't helping.
With all the ways Ami's name comes up in other words (amiokay could be 3 words or 2 for example) I've been thinking if there's been any other names that could have been hints in plain sight, and I keep circling back to the idea of Maya actually being "May A" like she was the first one made in her line of angels / children of the clockwork. Hers also being the only one that doesn't get fucked up proportion wise like youdidit, or Moyo or Maya 2 (I've kinda invested too much into amiokay being Maya from a different point in time or something)
May being either a spring or fall month (though likely spring considering Kumon-mi is in Japan). Either way, a month of a season that shouldn't exist in Kumon-mi, possibly like Maya in the first place. Maybe I'll remember the other stupid bits that keep it coming back too distracted right now to get it all down right.
