TFW Lessons in Love successfully normalized a community denying the existence of gods and portraying them as the ramblings of madmen... Selebus's master plan has come to fruition
When I say gods don't exist, I mean in-game.

There's a 0% chance our own universe was conceived from coincidence, someone must've created us.
I'm just going to leave it at that because I can already hear the heavy breathing from some people.

I won't be playing today and it will likely be like this for the next 10 Wednesdays.

I believe you could do it the first time too, but it required red path since you had to miss some events to miss bonus contests, and it's supposed to just give you the choice of which one you pick to win.
Correct.
It should have worked, and I don't recall the variables needing to be set too early. Do you think there's a chance you could have changed the number, then rolled back? Rolling back sets all the variables back to whatever was on that frame.
I had set the lust values higher, made a save, quit the game, took out URM then later loaded up the save all without clicking once to reach the next scene. That should have worked but maybe you have to click once to ensure?
The 'more animated part' can be rephrased as badly animated. It was CH1 and novice animators often overcompensate trying to avoid limbs being still and instead things just look very jittery. Sel has improved a bunch since CH1 even if I give him shit about it.
Yeah I did have some issues with the animation.

Didn't you abandon green path ages ago when it was merely Makoto raping you? Honestly would have been judged you harder if you went green here and red there.

Ok read a little more yeah being a good homie is green path so don't worry about it at this point. You'll even get something you'll enjoy a lot for this red choice.
Ranking the main cast's older variants
So remember a week or so ago when you posted the old lessons in love banner that had their 'beta' designs? I thought this was that again and started thinking how dare we lose that amazing Makoto.

Some of these are pretty nice though.

That one time Selebus gave us a warning against the red path:

This adds a lot of fuel to the theory that a red path Akira might not be able to achieve the true end due to not growing enough. I guess it could also be a jab at the players, but I can interpret the "everyone else is growing" as every other character is growing.

That is supported by what Akira says about wanting to be present to all events and how they're all he has, and that he's afraid of being left behind (I think he says this during his walkback from the church with Yasu and Touka).

Also, this leads to the legendary theory cooked up by our own senior citizen barglenarglezous about the entire event actually being Himawari masquerading as Chinami just to get Akira to wash her hair (one of my favorite tinfoils):

Ami Himawari just wanted to be pampered :ROFLMAO:

The interesting thing is that this scene didn't make me want to abandon the green path, it actually made me want to continue on it much more so I could see how the characters would overcome and evolve because of this event, It's interesting to see how uncomfortable Akira and Io themselves were in this scene and how broken they both were at that moment. This event was the only one (apart from Maya's death) that made me genuinely emotional and shaken for a few minutes, so much so that I made an emotional outburst here on the day.

Nah I think you're thinking of someone else, I let Makoto rape me. I did pursue Chika when I knew Rin liked her though, and missed some of her greens because of it. But I hadn't joined the thread yet

Oh yeah it definitely shook me. I made sure to see the whole scene but decided to go with avoiding it for now. Upon realizing that I'm already off green path anyways I figured might as well stick with my gut for now.
I'll make my own green path playthough eventually once I catch up

I firmly believe in this theory, so much so that that's why "stomach pain" made me want to continue much more on the green path, Akira learns a very important lesson in that event and that in *my opinion.* Stomach pain is the top 2 to top 3 most important event in the game everyone should play at least once, (I genuinely think Selly just gave the option to choose whether or not to have this event, Because this is like Akira choosing between facing his fears/traumas or running away from them.)

I completely forgot, what's the deal with December 28th, 2020 in the game? The event cuts out like that's supposed to be a lore drop but I do not fuckin remember.

Every time someone makes a post skipping Stomachache, Selebus is infused with even more power for when he inevitably writes a happy scene with a one off statement like

I redid the game cause the incest thing with Ami was creeping me out. It was really late like I think near chapter 3's end. And I redid everything only for Selebus to go "yeah you're playing the game wrong." and then straight up missing entire renders and text near the end of chapter 3. I went fuck it and just went through the green path after.

Selebus is definitely gonna fuck up red-path choices later on.

This is a fact, I think this is literally something that everyone should know, whoever is on the red path will be punished and that is a fact.Selly likes this and this will make sense in the story which gives more strength to Selly so people who are on the red path have to keep in mind, that they will be punished and depending on the choices there will be very heavy punishments.

That's was my theory for a long time too, but I feel like Ch4 and maybe Ch3 kind of discourage that line of thinking. It's almost disconcerting reading Ch1/Ch2 again and seeing how much more pronounced the clues for this were. Like it's unimaginable in Ch4 2025 to imagine Maya facing the screen and giving Sensei a rundown on the holy trinity. Obviously, changes of seasons and changing narrators blah blah mean different focuses, but it's just so... weirdly uncompelling for me now. It's genuinely like Ch1-3 and Ch4+ Senseis are different people, which does have its fair share of allusions in the narration. Note how different Sensei's posture is in the Yasu remake of going shopping with Ami.

Consider: In that one scene in Ch3 with loli Maya, why does she say "This isn't what *I* wished for?"

Honestly though, some great ideas. Maya's friendship with Ami is one of the more mysterious aspects of the plot and Ami wishing for a best friend would explain a lot. One slight alteration could be that Maya may have been her cat and she wished for Maya to be a real girl.
You're right. Considering casting oneself into Wishing Well is strongly connected with jumping from rooftop (what Akira did at the beginning). It's natural to come to conclusion that it's Maya and Akira who created everything (In different time. See Soliloquy of Maya in Everlasting Mercy for more).

To Selebus, go hell with your Green Route and travested value of "remain in sin so that grace may increase". You can tell yourself a million times that life is dark so I will continue to behave more according to reality to make my brave and strong, and it's wrong. Because "there are crimes which everywhere, always, under no matter what legislation, are beyond discussion crimes, and should be regarded as such as long as man is man". I feel good for not taking advantage of Haruka and become a precious friend for her. I don't regret it despite all of evil deeds Akira has said and done.
