Routes? Heard about them, but after playing for the first time and asking myself several times not to give it up I'm not sure I'll be willing to collect any other ones. And also after experiencing such a blatant rails in sandbox I lowkey think author is just joking. But I'm repeating myself here and maybe it'll be implemented indeed, who knows.
Given the way the story is written I highly doubt he won't do it, it lines up perfectly with the story and development process so far.
I keep seeing the no text box, no day stuff when I scroll the forum, was wondering which mod it was and if you could link it.
I think it's more about something happening that is significant enough to them that they can't be properly reset. To put it verry briefly. Ayane it's the pregnancy, Makoto it's her dad and depression coming to a point it can't be reset properly. Yumi it is the stuff happening with Chika combined with her starting to notice things because of her and Akira skipping forward earlier.

I mean, if you go into the game folder, you can find the images without the GUI in front of them.
That's cool and I've long since known about the fact the images are just shoved in a folder as would anyone clicking around in their file explorer but you do understand people go out of their way to make the mods and then use them for a better reading experience, right?
If we extend that to other characters, I can think of two off the top of my head, who might be next in line to not reset. Specifically, Sana and Othoa.
I can see Sana being next, but It feels like something still needs to happen. Otoha I'm not sure anything significant enough from her perspective has happened yet. Noriko is probably closer, but I think whatever pushes her through will be connected to Maya in some way. Tsuneyo also, but she seems to be special for other reasons, the game called her a "cottontail" or something like that. Some others that seem like they are on the path in rapid fire: Futaba feels like something is going to happen to her soon, Nodoka because Nodoka, Chika maybe after the "rabies" reaches its end stage, Rin potentially after them. The rest don't seem to be that close to me. Other than Yasu, but she's probably special like Tsuneyo. This is by no means a conclusive list of my thoughts and maybe I'm missing something obvious that should have been mentioned.
I actually suspect something horrible is coming Otoha's way, but I don't want to disrupt new update talk the day before it hits. I'll probably say in a week or so once we're in the lack of update doldrums.
I think resets stop with Dark Route, that's what makes it Dark Route. It's going to begin with the death of someone (Makoto) and this time it sticks.
Selebus recently said that the dark route is called that because that's when the ruleset changes and the characters will have to adapt to it. So that could either be no resets or a ton of resets all the time. It could mean anything really. Hell, maybe the dark route means that only x amount of people get to keep their memories each time, and the only way to "play" is by killing everyone else first.
If Lilcord members will choose who will survive, it will be such a shame...
